Great for sharing data
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is great for sharing data across different departments and countries. The online forms make data entry quick and simple, while protecting the raw data from accidental corruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropdown selections are hard-coded into the column properties. It would be fantastic if these could be made dynamic by referencing another sheet.
As powerful as the online forms are for data entry, there is no good equivalent when it comes to updating entries. The "Request Update" form is fantastic - except it's only available by email. If this could be generated as a link that anybody could use it would prevent having to send update requests to everyone who might one day want to add to an entry.
The online forms could also use some more dynamic options for what happens upon submission - such as displaying a system-generated reference to the user, or being sent to a dynamic URL which contains information from the form just submitted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Excel spreadsheets can be problematic when used by multiple people simultaneously. They also don't offer the email integration that comes with Smartsheet. With Smartsheet we can have many people working on the data simultaneously and get notified of relevant updates by email.
Simple and affordable Smartsheet solutions
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy and affordable it is to use Smartsheet. It allows data to be collected from a range of people without the need for special software or skills, while also allowing non-technical users to run simple scripts and apply Excel-like functionality focused on business objectives. It also has a range of accessibility options that make it easy to work with both internal and external company projects - including writing content, storing information, creating accounts and producing reports effectively. This makes Smartsheet one of my favorite organisational tools both in the office and remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is versatile, but using it for the first time can be challenging. It is recommended that you take an online introductory course or consult an expert in the program to get started quickly and learn how all the features work. By doing this, you will be able to take full advantage of Smartsheet's capabilities without experiencing the unnecessary hassle that some people have encountered when trying to figure out the interface on their own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data can be accessed easily from a single source and its accuracy can be ensured through Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the flexibility of the Smartsheet platform, with the pre-loaded templates to help get things started to the adjustability of the fields. I find the forum useful for navigating, managing, and sharing the sheets. It is also helpful to add external documents and links to the product that we create.
What do you dislike about the product?
During different times, it would be useful if tool tips could appear giving us suggestions how to automated different tasks. What Smartsheets calls some functions is different from other spreadsheet programs we are usually familiar with. It would also be immensely helpful if there could be a Windows App that could be installed, using a browser is powerful, but keyboard shortcuts are my life and browsers do not use standard shortcuts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simpler templates that allow quick creation of sheets. Smartsheets gives us users the power without having to spend hours looking online for templates and potentially paying for them on unknown sites. Then having to edit those sheets to make them powerful for us.
Surprisingly powerful for data entry, management, and project management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets provides a number of options that Excel does not such as web form based entry and simple easy dashboarding. It's great for users who want to build forms, sheets, and tracking tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheets is a developing product in my opinion - there are often times that I would run into a function or minor issue that I wished was available that may seem quite simple but has not been developed as of yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I built a data collection and management system in Smartsheets. I chose smartsheets due to its ability to enable web form based entry. This ease of data entry removed technological barriers for the users who would be using the sheets - it also enabled simple data entry through tablets which was important for me.
Improve teamwork, administrative openness and efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate Smartsheet for its real-time visibility across all my projects, allowing me to monitor progress and make quick decisions on the fly. The ability to easily share project information with team members in an organised way is also incredibly useful. The ability to set up alerts when tasks are updated or sent off keeps everyone informed of changes - providing a single source of truth throughout the process. Overall, I'm very pleased with how much easier it is to achieve complex goals efficiently while producing quality results on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet's dashboards are not as customisable and do not provide enough metric monitoring options. Its reporting is lacking as it does not use graphics or cues to easily identify omissions. In addition, there does not appear to be a practical way to consolidate data onto a single dashboard that includes short, single-line measurements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm benefiting from Smartsheet by being able to easily track the progress of key projects. It's also been incredibly helpful in converting UAT issue logs into an easy-to-understand format that I can access and modify in real time with other people.
Simple and Organized!
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to organize and document important and detailed information in Smartsheet. I can share information with my team quickly and securely, which is extremely important to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've not yet found any downsides to using Smartsheet! It has become a crucial tool for my teams in all states where we conduct business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides a comprehensive way for me and my teams to share sensitive and detailed information that directly affects our success as a company. We can collaborate in real-time while having all the necessary documents, reports, photos, etc. that we need to efficiently and comprehensively manage important tasks every step of the way.
Incredibly useful tool to generate useful data.
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of use is key for me and allowing my collegues to interact with it in an easy to use format. We can share large volumes of data and even use it as a project management tool which is key for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to not have additional sheets like you have in excel within one workbook is quite a big limitation for me and what I am able to get out of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gievs me the sharing component to allow multiple users to access the tool, wherever and I haven't had any syncing issues or sharing issues. Time for me is a key driver, as such the tool provides me with a lot of opportunity to benefit.
A great tool for data organization and analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
Opportunities to create automations to receive direct responses through the platform. Reporting tools are great to use and can be used to combine several sheets, which is helpful to see company goals being achieved. The solution center is an awesome tool to use when creating projects - there are templates for just about anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the workflows will not automatically generate, which can be frustration for the end user and the back end. I do like Smartsheet's help and solution center - this provides a lot of insight for problem solving. I do wish there was a way to add images to forms as we do a lot of order forms through my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has several beneficial tools - we can set up and use the calendars that are directly updated from the original sheet it was built from. The workflows and automations make it easy to receive direct responses to the sheet rows, which is easier than having to email back and forth. I love using the templates provided by Smartsheet as well because they come with all of the tools and accessory sheets to guide whatever project you are building.

What do you dislike about the product?
Parent / Child relationships at the 'sub-task' level could be easier to use. Sometimes i have issues 'rolling-up' data / numbers when I get below one level or two of sub-tasks. However it may just be user-error, as I have not had the time to investigate further or reference user manuals or tutorials.

I am very grateful to the support team, every time when I couldn't find a solution, I didn't find videos or relevant information for my task, I contacted the support team, less than two days passed and the team already returned a solution to me, I really appreciate it, thank you very much.

There is only one thing, you need to know the tool, know how to work with it, in other words, you will have to invest time to learn, but once you know and learn how the thing is exported, the sky is the limit.

The system creates for my department data storage in an orderly manner, creates work orders in projects and more.
Any user who has access to to the sheet can follow the team's progress and measure hes progress, its provides organization.
