Great for aggregating data all in one place!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily create customizable forms with file submissions that you can share on your website. Submissions are easily populated in a spreadsheet and you are able to set automated notification rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Excel is the standard, I'd like to see if Smartsheet could carry over a lot of the capabilities that people use Excel for. I'd also like to see the ability to capture more than just 1 file on forms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our team and external agencies to be connected with the latest show debuts and press events for our shows. It also allows us to vet/qualify press that would like to attend the show.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share spreadsheet is facntastic, especially the feature of form that we use to collect data from non-smartsheet user like suppliers, contractors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitation like not able to refer references other than looking at the highlight area in the referred sheet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manage external data collection, we have a lot of contractors from whom we need to collect data, with the help of smartsheet forms it provides a quick way of collecting data in an organized way which we were not able to do with excel.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is a very flexible tool with the added benefit of being easy to use and configure (in most cases).
The power of the tool is how you can quickly deploy a solution to a business need and then progressively change the content and process as it grows with time and use.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times the product can be frustrating, it would help to get hints and tips while developing a business solution rather than looking through the extensive (and good) library of help videos and tutorials.
I would like the product to be more in line with Google maths functions and pivot tables.
And I find the reporting dashboards limited in look and feel.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer Forecasting , Service engineer templates , customer call logging , Technical issue management , equipment sales forecasting , sales customer product authoraisation
Easy to use and learn about features.
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration, being able to share the sheets created easily with colleagues was great. The combination between, sheets, gantts and dashboards made the process flow seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have liked to see a bit more robustness with the dashboard creation. It seems like it could be a good way to properly display info but is a bit limited in it's uses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the need for multiple different programs to do things like sheets, dashboarding and project planning. Usually you would need 3 different programs to do this but with Smartsheet, it is all available on one platform which is great from a user, cost and administrative position
Flexible all-in-one tool for project tracking/management
What do you like best about the product?
Smarthseet is great for project tracking and "point" follow-up for my projects. I have one sheet per customer/project, where I can track all the points collaboratively with the customer. They get notified of changes and can leave comments and change priorities: it saves a lot of time and emails needed to align. All my sheets then feed into a report that gives me a quick overview of action points and pending tasks on my side. It's very flexible and it looks very nice!
What do you dislike about the product?
The text edition capabilities within each cell are a bit limited. I get it is not intended to be a text-heavy tool, but some points require lengthy descriptions and the capacity to make bullet points or mark some lines in bold would be a great addition. The more features like these they implement, the less I would need to leave the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It greatly helps with project tracking, customer communication and alignment, and quick reporting on project status. I don't do after-meeting notes emails anymore, I just update my Smartsheets: the client can see and act on these updates in real-time. It saves a ton of time.
Not Just for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet lets me be creative and has the power to solve issues. I have created many forms for my organisation that allow us to do away with paper. Smartsheet automatically seeks approvals from the right people, which is helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
They got us to purchase the basicsubscription, and when we began to explore the functionality, we learned that there are different add-on packages that can be really useful. We felt we were sold a complete package that could do everything but found out it's piecemeal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping the organisation go paperless. Automating the approvals process also lets us cut down on bureaucracy and time. As an organisation, we require many different levels of approval, and the workflows I have come up with have simplified this.

Usually I use smartsheet as an alerting solutions. It's very easy to create notification system.
Game changer for our team
What do you like best about the product?
The multiple ways in which i can communicated and collaborate with colleagues, that I can share relevant information with colleagues outside of our team without having to give them full access to our files, automation & dashboards

Would like to see more innovative developments - for me no gamechangers released in the past year or so - always just seems to be small (and necessary) improvements (for me and my use of smartsheet)

We are a hybrid team with PMs working in regions, so Smartsheet allows us to accurately track all of our projects, 360 overviews of everything going on in our department.
We can automate our reporting and update requests instead of using dead time generating reports or update calls with PMs to check project information

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet made it easier for me to create a central hub for all my projects and content collaboration.

If you are not the owner of the created content, it is impossible to make and save changes.

It is a fantastic tool that helps streamline and automate processes across all projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a highly functional and accessible platform which allows users to create systems and tools to radically bespoke degrees. Having used several similar platforms, Smartsheet is one of the easiest to learn and has proven invaluable in maximising productivity and improving team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet uses similar language and logic to other suites; however, it has its peculiarities like all others. Some functions can be challenging to grasp initially, as the syntax of Smartsheet can sometimes be poorly framed or lack context. Some system functionality is locked behind additional module subscriptions, which can create frustrations, especially as some of these modules can be more expensive. Based on the demonstrations and trials I've seen, there is definite value for that investment.

Smartsheet allows us to centralise shared data resources with confidence and ease. We can collaborate more efficiently whilst also exercising appropriate control over who can access, edit and share the data in question. The diversity of Smartsheet functionality means that almost every area of our business benefits from integrations with Smartsheet.
