Changed the way we work
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that multiple businesses can access the smartsheet at the same time and edit specified cells. I also find the cell history feature very helpful when multiple people are accessing the sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the ability to use forumlas is quite limited with Smartsheet as opposed to Excel so it would be nice to see this area expanded upon. I also would like to be able to filter columns by colour.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved the issue of having to have 1 central person updating a standalone excel spreadsheet and everyone having to send their work to them rather than everyone updating their own areas.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am unable to create the same automatization on all project in a workspace, they have to be set up manually, which can be troublesome.
Sometimes the links between sheets are not updated automatically, and need to be open (sheets) to take effect.

Giving general overview for management board about changes/projects on different levels of detail.
Creating a platform on which can each of our colleagues (with the help of PMO) lead and manage projects on their own.

What do you like best about the product?
- that you are able to set up automated workflows that manage your work for you as well as prompt others for input and feedback without your intervention
- that there is unlimited support for you through the community networks and support pages at very short notice
- the dashboards and reports! this has changed how I am able to report out my work to others
- integration with other apps like PowerBI, absolutely seamlessly

What do you dislike about the product?
- It can take a little while to really get comfortable with the functionality and formula building
- the dependence of report and dashboards on exact cell test - it would be great i you changed dropdown options in a cell that there was smart logic to identify the change and update the reports and dashboards accordingly

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for the following purposes:
- Global Group reporting against compliance metrics (metrics laid out in our own internal requirements)
- Integrated Departmental work planning
- Project management for specific projects and initiatives
- Managing of budgets (integrated into other sheets to track spend)
- Action Plan development, approval and closeout
- Global high level tracking of groups of projects according to grouping or focus areas

Excellent project management tool, but with some undeniable limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a really user friendly and aesthetically pleasing project management tool. The inbuilt automations are simple and intuitive. The ability to set up alerts and ensure that communication and tracking occurs within the application is superb. I use Smartsheet everyday and I never have it closed, we track a wealth of data in our sheets and the entire team benefits from its simple presentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The absolute weakest part of Smartsheet is the lack of customisation possible using Smartsheet forms. If you are an active user on Smartsheet, there is a very good chance that you want to utilise the forms fucntionality. However, the lack of formatting options, types of field and questions really puts our team off using them. The inability to create basic tables for data entry within the forms is one of the biggest issues, and it appears to be something that has been requested many times on Smartsheet community forums. I feel like the forms need to be worked on a little more to make them worthy of use.
Further, little things like not having autocomplete for words and phrases (much like excel has) is a downside. It is a simple timesaver that would make such a difference to user experience.

Having a central source of truth across departments to show course and unit data, that is specific and easily identifIable. Project management for several different projects within the University. Logging staff details, qualifications and other important information in a secure manner
Simplifly process
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to build a form, you don't need to be an expert to be able to build a form, and this brings so much quality to our users based on the form submissions you are able to create the automation, which is a big plus.
Also started using Dynamic views and I was able to create a business process to be followed easily by my team and also provide the information from previous requests raised by our users.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some functions that definitely need to be improved ASAP. Like the hyperlink feature, you cant choose if it will open in a new tab or the same, and this has different behaviours in embedded forms that you can not control. Also
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way to people submit a request for a team. Every SmartSheet we have, we can have a form interface to connect with our users with a very simple UI that does not need any specific training.
Collaboration and Automations Galore
What do you like best about the product?
The Data Shuttle integration allows our team to track shipments from the moment the EDI arrives in our system. We have also set up many automations to run once the Smartsheet is refreshed to cut down on the number of emails our team has to compose and serve as an initial safety net to catch data issues that may arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The row limit is the biggest obstacle to our team's uses. With how many fields our team looks at, we are limited to around 5,000 rows of data. To get around this limitation, we have created several different sheets and filtered the data in different ways to keep the row count below the limit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets solves the issue of collaboration for us. Our team of 7 can seemlessly make updates simultaneously without having to deal with clunky spreadsheets. It has also greatly reduced the amount of time we spend composing and sending emails with the automatic notifications.

What do you like best about the product?
Like te fact that it provides a considated view of multiple project variables, rolled up into projects, programes and portfolios with a gant chat view in parallel for those more visually inclined. Dashboards are brilliant as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
To my knowledge it does not integrate with SAP to pull financials into a single report, as well as pulling numbers from a timesheeting system, this is being really particular, however if Smartsheet had some form of integration with SAP / Timesheeting systems to allow PM's to have a single financial analysis view of Budget, Actuals and ETC's (Estimates to complete), within their project dashboard, that would be fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides clear visual dashboard reporting on financials , resourcing, timelines to key stakeholders in the Senior Leadership team. Ability to tailor my project plans, columns with ease, indenting subtasks, dependencies, predecessors, clarity on roles and responsibilities, rolling up milestones to generate top line timelines makes it my go to tool for building my project plans and coaching members of my chapter on basic funcationality use.
Simple yet powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet does an amazing job of providing a solution that has all the power in the world for a highly sophistcated user to be able to connect a wide variety of applications together and do all kinds of complex tasks, tracking, etc. At the same time, you can just use some of the basic features and get tons out of it. I use it like a glorified spreadsheet but with the ability to have attachments, discussions, tag colleagues, set reminders and automations, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many gripes about Smartsheet to be honest. If I was forced to pick something it might be that the tool for reviewing artwork is a bit pricey as an add on and would be very helpful for the line of work I'm in working with creative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to track projects and stay on the same page as a team but isn't overwhelming. Managing projects in Excel lacks the ability to do a lot of things and makes for large and clunky sheets. Smartsheet solves all of this.
Worth the many hours of training!
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration it allows with a huge range of colleagues at the touch of a button! Allows things to be completed much faster, takes away a lot of manual work
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes an awful lot of getting used to and can be time consuming to set up (but once it is it is great!). Don't try skip the training because you won't get the best out of smartsheet - its worth the commitment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gathering a lot of data from multiple locations, smartsheet allows me to contact them all at once instead of chasing everyone individually!
Greate Experience only issue I have is with the Hebrew support.

1. Hebrew Support - you can write in Hebrew but the aliment is not there, please add Hebrew Support !!
