User-friendly, cloud-based way to share spreadsheet information!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great resource for tracking data to be shared across multiple users and even multiple companies. It is so user-friendly and well-formatted that I use it even for spreadsheets I don't need to share with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a lot I don't like about Smartsheet. I think that the biggest issue is that I don't know what I don't know and there are probably ways I could be using it that would help me more but I'm unaware of them. It's also at times minimally temperamental when working within cells (copy/paste, etc.) that you have to get used to doing just slightly differently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a recruiter with multiple people involved in my hiring efforts due to the nature of our process. This allows me to communicate from start to end and assign tasks to the proper person at the right time, etc.
Great for traditional project management. Limited use for other business applications.

What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on copy/paste feature. Need to expand to "all" rows and columns.
Limitations on the number of sheets the user can copy to a different folder needs to be expanded.
Improved functionality needed to incorporate more features and functionality present in excel. (i.e. find/replace a value in multiple sheet names, rows or columns)
Customer support is very slow and is not available via on-line chat. Have waited days for a response.
FAQ's and other static support materials on the website are not very helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confidentiality of customer data: Enables me to share sheets with all of my customers in the same folder without the customers being able to view or access other customer sheets. Customers can enter and submit their data to me without emailing me a file. Customers are not required to have a license to submit their data to me via Smartsheet.
Intuitive Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like best that Smartsheet is easy to use. It feels like Excel or Project but has easy integration and notification capabilities. After making your first dashboard and creating the summary tables, it is easy to display and capture the data that you're most interested in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Are there any things that I dislike about Smartsheet? It is honestly difficult to come up with off the top of my head, but I do recall having some difficulty with having a project plan sheet calculate some pretty basic project management functions that are readily available in Project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps our business by providing an easy-to-use, readily available project management tool. It is seamless to onboard new users when needed. We can communicate efficiently using the comment function (which sometimes I wish was specific to a cell like Excel).

1. Low entry barrier - Smartsheet is a combination of Excel and any other basic routing tool, which are both familiar to many teams.
2. Rich of templates - Easy to identify the required sheet and use it.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sometimes I feel Smartsheet is a bit slow.
2. We would need the option to restrict deleting rows. In the current setup, anybody with Editor access can delete rows, which is the one downside I guess.

1. Easy to sync roadmaps between multiple teams or multiple sheets.
2. We generate a Capacity report and dashboard, which help us a lot in terms of resource management.

Smartsheet Makes Complex Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet in its most basic form is very simple for anyone to use with minimal training and its advanced features are powerful and also easy to use. I have solved so many different problems using smartsheet with people both internal and external to my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to find things to dislike about Smartsheet. A few years ago there were occasions where I would think "I wish this was a feature in Smartsheet, but now they have added so many new features and functionalities that it has been a long time since I have thought that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One big problem we have solved using smartsheet is the ability to collect process audit data. We use weforms for supervisors to watch processes in real time and easily tap through a standard work checklist marking if the work was being done as prescribed. We have well over 100 different checklists that we use to collect approximatley 500 audits per day. Without smartsheet capturing this data for us we would be at a loss on how to capture this data in an oraganized and efficient way.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy and quick it is to create a new form, and then pull together all the relevant fields within the table view.
It's also so simple and smooth to get all of the relevant teammates access to the smartsheet and to train them on how to use it properly.
And, last but certainly not least, building the automation pieces is surprisingly so simple and easy to do! I never thought I'd be able to set up automation for anything, but smartsheets has made it possible!

I would like to see more education around features of the tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is solving our problems with workflows, requests, surveys, and baseline data collection. It's benefitting us because we previously were using MS Forms and it was not intuitive at all, it was difficult to send out to users, some users were blocked from it due to being in different organization structures, and it wasn't easy to review the data in a digestible way. The automation ability within Smartsheets also enabled our team to be able to review results/data anytime, no matter who's in or out of office.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is versatile and flexible. You can design so many forms, track everything through sheets and run reports to keep on top of all your data. You can also share easily, making collaboration easier. It combines many apps in one great package that is easy to use and constantly improving.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'm not aware of all the great things Smartsheet can do, so having some sort of gateway that shows all the functionality of the program might be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes it easy to route workflows, to manage projects, to collaborate, and to keep all your data in one place. We used to use several different software applications and work-arounds, but now we can do it all in Smartsheet. Things flow smoother and take less time and effort.
Since starting to use Smartsheets I have saved countless hours of time.
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy having the automation function to help set reminders and notifications without me having to do the work physically. Other software I tried is not as robust and lacks with their automation capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to create things from scratch for my project management team that I don't see as a template and I don't always do a great job of making it work as easily as it should.

Smarthsheet helps solve two main issues for me.
1. Quickly and easily get notified of new projects and can assign them just as quickly and everyone gets notified.

Smartsheet is one of the most versatile tools in my toolbox. There is something for everyone!!
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like most about Smartsheet is that it is very user-friendly. If you know how to use Excel, even at a very basic level, you are able to use Smartsheet. A lot of programs at my University are daunting because they include a lot of coding in the background, or involve a higher level professional to access, build and use. But not with Smartsheet! With Smartsheet any and everyone can build, access, and view with ease and little to no experience with the tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I build A LOT of things in Smartsheet, so I am down in the nitty-gritty of the details of how it works. There are a few things that I think would elevate Smartsheet and one of them is being able to format the rich text in automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet does a great job of listening to their customers and improving things we want to see. As part of the Early Adopter Program, I am able to see wht new features are being rolled out while still being able to give feedback. I train a lot of folks in how to use Smartsheet, so being able to see what's coming is invaluable.
Excel on Steroids
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great tool for teams as multiple users can use one sheet at the same time, and functionality to add images, comments, and most importantly, attachments, make it a vital tool for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can occasionally be glitchy and the Proofing system especially needs improving. It is one of the key tools our team uses, but could be improved by having proofing stages and more automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know that the company has invested more in the WorkApps which would likely benefit my company but I have not conducted real reseach in to it. I also know that Brandfolder could be a problem solver for our company but we are already tied to a DAM system in a long contract.
