All Things Project Management in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows you to manage multiple types of projects with differing needs with one platform. I love having the ability to add a dashboard, form or collaboration with a few additional clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The help info can be difficult to navigate and some instructions seem a bit complex BUT I love the fact that I can call and get the help I need. I have seen improvement with more screenshots and clear instructions for more difficult tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to build a project based on completion dates and assign tasks is HUGE. This allows for collaborators to know how tasks are progressing and to comment or make changes.
Its great but could be better
What do you like best about the product?
We use SS as a booking collaboration form for sales and adops, the reporting helps us dive deeper and analyse the results every month. We can do a report highlighting different trends from the SS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its super easy for someone to delete things for anyone. It would be great if we can restrict users from delete stuff but still being able to edit and have history of the last edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us build a place where different teams can collaborate on projects and track progress. Lastly, all groups can contribute and an update is emailed to different users which helps use it as a task manager
Great for task management and team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it easy to create project plans that fit your organization or project needs. It is so easy to assign tasks to other team members, leave feedback and review assignments. We love the increased visibility and ability to easily import and export data. It makes managing marketing campaigns and planning a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up some of the dashboards can be very complex on the backend. You can always select a different template that aligns with your experience level, but I'd love to see some more user-friendly templates made available. Also, SmartSheet currently integrates with Brandfolder, but I'd also like to see a Canva integration in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet makes it easy to see who in your organization is working on what. This increased visibility helps us plan for and track project milestones while managing team member workloads. We also use SmartSheet as a planning resource for scheduling out everyday marketing activities like social media. It is easy to review, leave feedback, and see updated versions of graphics all in one place. It also serves as a content archive that is structured in a way that makes it easy to go back and extract older content that we'd like to repurpose in future campaigns.
Well rounded way to manage your data.
What do you like best about the product?
While Smartsheet may seem to be just a cloud-based spreadsheet at first glance, it is far more. Novice users can easily create forms to input data, create workflows to take action based on the sheet data, and create great visualization dashboards, portals, views and reports from their sheets.
Training for each Smartsheet feature is simple, and the hands-on exercises reinforce the materials presented. At the same time, the final review quizzes reassure the student and their management that the material has been mastered.
The Data Merge, Data Shuttle, and other additional tools allow easy import of standard file formats into Smartsheet processes. The Jira Connector is a great way to use Smartsheet and forms to serve as a front end for User Story intake while ensuring all required information is present from the start of the process.
I highly recommend Smatsheet as it combines the ubiquitous team access of cloud-based applications with a well-thought-out data capture, process, and display environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
The API interface is not well documented and could use enhancement. While Smartsheet provides a downloadable Collection for use with Postman, the Collection has no parameters defined and no installation and configuration guidance directions.
The documentation provided is sufficient for basic information. Still, it is incomplete regarding what relationships can be queried, and many of the relationships in the Postman Collection are not in the documentation.
Lastly, there are many missing relationships that I would have expected to see in the API. For example, while I can get a listing of the sheets available to me, I cannot list who has Owner, Editor, or Viewer permissions. As a Company Admin for Smartsheet, I cannot see basic information on the Enterprise Smartsheets and their access permissions unless I am invited to the sheet, which makes support very difficult when dealing with novice users. I would have expected an overarching Company Admin access level that would grant at least some visibility into a project's sheets regardless of the permissions set by the owner.

Smartsheet has dramatically simplified our user support duties by creating a ticket intake process with Smartsheet forms, which then spawn Jira User Stories (using Jira Connector) and can be reported on through Smartsheet Dashboards. This process does not require oversight by our team and has virtually eliminated User Stories missing critical information. The team can now focus exclusively on user needs and be assured they have all the necessary information to complete their work.
Mostly Great
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can create forms, dashboards/visuals, create Gantt charts, make lists, and use the platform to make doing business externally a little easier with its ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I HATE that you cannot upload Excel files with tabs of information in one go. You have to upload each sheet individually which makes the process all the more aggravating. Also, when sorting through lists, if you have multiple lists on one page, formatting is very easily messed up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us create visuals to go with some of the data with collect. The visuals aid in the understanding of our data for our stakeholders. We're also able to create forms and share them externally so that our users can give us feedback.
Great Experience with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet easily tracks our project information and allows for workflows that are triggered automatically. We have been able to track and update projects with minimal effort thanks to the functions, formulas, and dashboards, all easily configurable within our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Now and again, you will find a feature that does not align with how Excel works and will confuse our users who are not as entrenched in the Smartsheet work. Luckily, we have enough team members to quickly address the issue and get us back on track.

Smartsheet allows us to track what projects are coming in and their status. Smartsheet also enables us to create project workflows and assign tasks to ensure deliverables are met, and quality work is complete.
complete package of efficiently project management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps me to stay up to date on the ongoing project and efficiently managing them. It's easy to use and helps us talk to each other about what we are working on. It works super with microsoft office and send out mesaages when tasks are done and keep everyone updated ny email.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my team some users facing difficulties to setting up and manage user permissions.

Smartsheet improves better communication with team, enhance productivity and helps us to meet task deadline without any delay.
Customizable Management Software that is a Powerful Asset in the Right Hands
What do you like best about the product?
Using automation to send reminders and sort relevant information. Also, creating a simple form to request information and input that information into your database.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to create a line for a signature at the bottom of a form. We need to use separate software like DocuSign to request a signature.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it possible to manage several projects at the same time using automation. The Dashboard feature is excellent at seeing the bigger picture of how the project(s) are going. Smartsheet helps manage lots of information by using filters and only showing you what you are looking for (relevant information).
We love Smartsheet! Especially for the multi-user editing.
What do you like best about the product?
We initially chose Smartsheet because we were looking for a tool that would allow multiple people editing and filtering at the same time. Google Sheets was not an option and Microsoft OneDrive/Sharepoint was quite clunky with multiple users editing and filtering at the same time. What we ended up liking the most is the ability to have different views from the same sheet! We often switch from grid to tiles to calendar depending on who is viewing the sheet and the information needed. Smartsheet has streamlined two major processes for my team resulting in a complete buy-in from the team and is now a point of interest for other teams after seeing what we've accomplished.
What do you dislike about the product?
Saving when multiple people are editing at the same time takes some getting used to, especially coming from a Google environment. We've made it work with some extra training. The other small item is people are constantly looking to add an additional tab within the one sheet and is frustrated to have to createa folder/workspace with multiple sheets vs one sheet with multiple tabs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Smartsheet primarily to optimize reoccuring processes like intakes, leader reviews and project dashboards. We love the ability to easily switch between views depending who needs what information. Calendars and tiles for less detail, grid for a complete set of information.
Smartsheet Makes for Smart Work
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet is very easy to use (and onboard new users). It has the look and feel of an Excel spreadsheet, with the benefits of real-time collaboration. Automated workflows, forms, summaries, and the ability to create reports and dashboards help to manage portfolios, not just projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I have with Smartsheet is how the Gant Chart prints out. The printout is cumbersome and not easy to share as it crosses multiple sheets (depending on how large the project is).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time communication, full transparency across all channels in the project, ease of creating tools to gather input data and customize output data, efficient way to organize multiple projects in a portfolio.
