Collaboration with ease

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flexible and configurable platform that enables me to share as much information as I want, and get real-time collaboration and input from users globally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs to be closer in functionality to apps like Microsoft Excel - there are still some things we can't use it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking physical products that we don't have visibility of and enabling risk-eliminating processes. Freeing up time to work on more productive elements of the business.

Collaborative planning and cross functional working made easy

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality of smartsheets and once you learn the specific formulas you can use, you can really take advantage of the software. It backs up often and is very easy to link to other projects within a programme which is an invaluable asset to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are still missing between smart sheets and MS Project, and linking cells could be made more accessible. There are still things you cant do with formulas that are easy to do on Project. It would be effective to lock specific cells to projects within the programme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is an effective cost-efficient tool that ticks the vast majority of my requirements from the day to day use. Once you take advantage of the free training in the package, you can learn the tips and tricks to simplify daily use. I like how you can create reports and pull out key information required for presenting status. I would like further training to take this to the next level.

The ultimate tool for group collaboration

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet to be incredibly useful in helping us simplify and streamline our processes. The interface is intuitive, making it easy for anyone on my team to quickly start creating sheets and building custom workflows or request notifications that fit the exact needs of their particular project. I also appreciate the ability to upload fillable PDFs so that they can be easily linked to all relevant records - all without an expensive license fee! Overall, Smartsheet is an indispensable productivity tool that has allowed us to collaborate more effectively while achieving our desired results with greater efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Smartsheet lacking in certain areas. Specifically, I am frustrated by the inability to resize my Gantt view to better visualize timelines. Additionally, navigating the platform often results in me being thrown back to the dashboard as soon as I try to scroll to the left - a definite hindrance when it comes to completing reports and summaries. Hopefully, improvements are on the horizon
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped me and my team collaborate more efficiently on client initiatives. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to quickly create the specialized reports we need, saving us valuable time and energy that can be focused elsewhere.

SmartSheet helps you build automated workflows and gives you neat visualisation.

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet is an excellent way to visualize what needs to be said or monitored over time. With built-in functions to connect data sources, create forms, and do publishing - things can be automated.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't always easy to get started with SmartSheet, and there's a learning curve to get used to all the tools and behaviours of SmartSheet. You can "mimic" things like "Trello" cards but with the drawback of not having auto-save. You can use integrations to pull data from different sources, but it sometimes comes at a cost. As there's nothing else like SmartSheet, you may end up with timely customisations to move out of in case you'd have to move to another platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet helps me as an enhanced note-taking portal, which helps me keep track of what people in my team are doing and when. It also helps us work on team goals with several subtasks to make up a common bigger goal. So in that sense, it also works as a collaboration tool making our progress visible to everyone in the team. With the automation built in, I can create forms triggered either by me or by different rules, like deadlines or if a request is coming in. The associates can then respond to that form, and the data is automatically populated in the right place. These forms can even be made mobile phone friendly. The benefits for me as a manager are that it improves visibility, enhances collaboration, and increases efficiency.

Smart sheet group work.

What do you like best about the product?
The comments system and having all the relevant conversations in one place. It is also helpful to be notified by email so you don't miss anything. The forms I can send to customers is also beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find the gantt view very helpful, really. I don't think that is a problem with the system. I just don't have much use for it. Not a lot of negatives to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small organisation with people in it with varied roles. We don't need to call each other or have meetings constantly, and we can see where we are at with a project.

SmartSheet is a great way project management and automation tool!

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create workflows and automations in a sheet. My team and I use SmartSheet to manage several data delivery workflows for clients and it (1) keeps us on track, (2) allows us to send client emails based on data from the sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I don't like about SmartSheet is how you can't share an entire folder with someone. You would need to individually share certain sheets within a folder, but you're not able to share an entire folder (with the files inside).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet allows me to manage my tasks and let everyone in my team know what everyone is doing. It also allows me to send emails to clients, based on a workflow, with just one click.

Smart sheet experience

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I liked best with smart sheets is it's in real time so whatever information you add is updated for all to see no matter where your team is located.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only issue is you need to provide users with user abs Password to access. Sometimes you have to hit save abs it's not easy for a new user to add attachment to a cell
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of working with people who don't share the same networks. This allows others to access in real time.

Get your work done in a smart and organized way

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What i like the most about smartsheet that it works as a one platform for all my work details - we use it for reporting, analyzing data, tracking the work and developing.
What do you dislike about the product?
so far every issue we have found there has been a solution introduced to solve it. whether it is small or big there is always a work around so all in all there is nothing i dislike till this moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It acts as one platform for all the company employees. one shared document where every one can work on at the same time and know which part exactly do they have to complete. we can share forms to be filled by other parties even if they are not smartsheet users and we get to analyze the responses and make dashboards of all kinds using the data.

Smartsheet is a great collaboration tool to use for projects of any size.

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the collaboration aspect of Smartsheet. This gets away for the various copies of project plans, action trackers and risk registers. The licencing model also makes it fantastic to use with clients across multiple organisations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports take a long time to build as the formulas have to be recreated each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across teams/organisations. Visibility of the status of projects via the reporting and dashboards. Automated emails of task owners. Automatic generation of highlight reports

Driving Assurance Through Visualised Reporting

  • May 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple for people to pick up and use but offers huge opportunities for customisation and complications even through the basic features
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all functions expected exist as they do in Excel, for example, EOMONTH. This can lead to many workarounds utilising sheet summary data, helper columns and helper sheets where data can be moved or copied to for reference.

Enhanced graphics and layout options for dashboards would greatly improve the experience and the output that we can present to senior leadership. For example, multi-type charts, a column chart with a line running across to show averages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring and tracking the performance of our 3rd party supplies through independent data views. These views are live and updated automatically reducing the effort massively and providing clear views of the portfolio progression position at all times
