Highly customizable and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The best things I like about Smartsheet are as follows it can be customized to pretty much most of your needs, for me it's easy to use, and it's knowledge base is pretty helpful whenever I get stuck on something, I check on it, and so far it provides all the solutions I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Smartsheet is it can be limiting if your company is just starting and you have limited funds for extra systems you want to use. It's totally understandable; you have to pay for premium software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that Smartsheet is solving to our organization are collaboration with our staffs, easy to use tally sheet to the things that are done and what not. It benefits us on having a one stop system to see the general overview of our projects.
A powerful tool for managing complex programs that depend on each other
What do you like best about the product?
Using Smartsheet, we have streamlined our recruitment processes and gained insight into team workload by utilizing shared boards. Smartsheet grid view, collapsible lists, and the ability to duplicate rows or columns make it ideal for creating organizational charts, even among people without computer experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, the team had difficulty granting leadership access to the spreadsheets. Since then, we have been able to update and share our role up sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Four implementation Analysts serve a diverse clientele. The world of information architects used a variety of methods to monitor which groups were getting involved and where they were in the process. Smartsheet enabled us to consolidate all data collection for the onboarding procedure into a single, user-friendly application.
Improve Time Management with Smartsheet Software
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Smartsheet is its adaptability to our processes and changing project needs. Its impressive array of data organization tools, paired with its extensive selection of templates, allows me to customize a sheet specifically for the task at hand. In addition, Formula Builder provides great convenience when complex logic is required in cells, making it much more efficient to customize workflows or toggle between tasks than before. In addition, members of my team have had no problem understanding how this tool works because it is so easy to use right out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am disappointed that Smartsheet has not implemented more modern formats. I feel that a different approach to process management with increased flexibility would be beneficial rather than simply adding extra days or moving dates around, as this does little to clarify tasks. In addition, considering a different option for project and deadline notifications could significantly improve the system currently used by SmartSheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet, I can simplify the management of large projects by providing a central hub for tracking progress, assigning tasks, and storing documents. With this one platform, I'm able to stay on top of changes more easily and provide my team with the latest information and updates as needed.

What I like the most about smartsheet is that it gives us a user friendly interface to simplify our tracking tasks especially for labor daily tracking and short term projects

What i dislike the most about smartsheet is that it requires fast internet connection to be activated and fast internet to update and upload pictures and videos

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is a powerful and impressive tool that resembles a cross between Excel and Trello. For the past five years, Smartsheets has been my go-to application for projects and related communication. I've collaborated with my team on the platform to manage tasks and projects, create forms, analyze data, and design data dashboards. Smartsheet is generally simple to use if you used other PM tools before and well-supported by resources like tutorials and webinars.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see the option to include more visuals and widgets when managing projects, similar to what Trello does with its Power-Ups. It's better than external tools that require our software development teams to integrate a simple thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The user-friendly interface of Smartsheets makes it easy for me to keep track of things like our sales programs and large projects involving many people collaborating on an important campaign/event.
Good for project management and workflow. Poor communication

It's Excel on steriods, if your orgainisation use Excel then this is a platform where the stakeholder buy in and transition will be easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that if you amend one sheet there is no way to amends other sheets. For example I have a workflow sheet where i archive projects onto the same sheet. If I add additional colums or fucntions to the main workflow sheet I have to do this manually to the archive sheet. Only parent sheets and influence linked sheets, not helpful is you use linked sheets for workflow, it would nice if you could select and change how sheets interact with eachother.
When i've created rules I have noticed they have a mind of their own. They choose when they want to work.
In a recent subscription model change my cost went up 15%. Working for a charity this is not easy to get approval for. When I reach out to smartsheets I got no response, I've had to constantly chase. It's been a month and no closer to getting the answers I require. I do not feel like a valued customer. Quick to contact for sales, not for support. Very disappointing.

User guidance, the in person user group was helpful and it shows they are building the smartsheet community where you can interact with other users and understand real like experinces and fuctionailities.
All in one: track, share, report
What do you like best about the product?
The report format that allows to know the status of a project. I used also for the communication manage and it helps me to create a single status of them with a workflow. I have use other tools and this is the most completed

The limit access of certain features like the control management. It's a powerful tool but it requires extra licences. There will be also to include the trend features for the agile method. Like velocity of task completion

Overall very positive but using both Smartsheet and Smartsheet Resourcing together needs work
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to plan projects in a flexible way and pulling from templates to help speed that process up. We also use Resourcing with is a fantastic tool for our team in allocating work tasks to individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the most how Smartsheet and Resourcing work or rather do not work together, for me it is very obvious that the two systems are very separate and do not particularly talk to each other all that well. I have found the support in the this area to be non-existant once the licenses where purchased the after care disappeared which is extremely disappointing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us as a team become more efficient in our processes and more transparent about workloads and the distribution of tasks across the team. It also helps us highlight just how long things take to produce, quite often account managers do not understand this so Smartsheet helps show this and gain agreement on timings.
Easy to use and helpful with many moving parts.

The best feature about Smartsheet is the collaboration. Teams can easily collaborate on projects and see how far along each person is. This makes it easy to be on top of workflow.

The one part about Smartsheet that isnt the best when first using is the interface isnt very user friendly to begginers and can be a little confusing to pick up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the company I work there used to be problems with which staff were assigned projects and when they needed to complete it by. With smartsheet we are clearly able to see in one place where each project is up to and what projects are upcoming. In turn this can and has sped up workflow.
A user-friendly MS Project...and More!
What do you like best about the product?
It's so user friendly. The interface is clearer and all the options and buttons look simplier. It also seems to cope better with updates and changes to your project plan - it seems to be more versatile than (my experience with) MS Project, for example.
It's also a great colaborative tool, being online, and having the option to have free accounts, you can include all of your team, everyone can work on the same project timelines and they can all link together seamlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have all the features of a program like MS Project - but it also has additional functionality that Project doesn't have, like different types of sheets that can link into each other.
It is annoying how it closes down features for those in your team who don't have a paid license - but it's still cheaper than Project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing us to easily move to easy-access collaborative working, allowing us to quickly and easily make project timelines (large and small scale) and then share and collaborate on these throughout the business. The linking features are also great, and because it's hosted as an internet service, there's no issue in the linking about where the sheets are saved etc.
