An incredible solution for managing large projects and teams
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Smartsheet's suite of helpful task management and execution tools that help us achieve our goals. Its easy-to-use interface, collaborative features, responsive support team, and automated tools make it an incredibly useful program to use on a daily basis. The software's versatility allows everyone, from the novice to the seasoned professional, to work with confidence. Smartsheet's capabilities have helped my team succeed in every endeavor we undertake.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of flexibility when I try to adjust my Gantt chart in Smartsheet. Whenever I try to move further to the left on my timeline, I'm redirected back to the dashboard, which makes tasks like reports and summaries much more difficult. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved in a future update so that we can all benefit from improved navigation features within Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me maintain a secure online repository for sensitive data, provides clients with accessible links to view my updates and enhancements, and reduces the amount of work I have to do. All of this has been very beneficial to me.
An incredibly convenient cloud service
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is streamlining and optimizing the way we work. The intuitive interface makes it easy for team members to quickly set up sheets, change workflows, and receive personalized notifications. In addition, I appreciate the low cost of being able to submit interactive PDFs that work well with other related documents - all without paying huge licensing fees! It's an invaluable tool that has increased our collective productivity while allowing us to collaborate seamlessly to achieve success faster than ever before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the disorganized layout of Smartsheet reports when creating comprehensive milestone schedules. It's difficult to fit all the necessary details into the limited grid space, and I can't see important information at a glance. Despite numerous customer complaints about the same problem, I have yet to find an adequate online solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Smartsheet, I'm able to easily monitor and evaluate my suppliers' performance quickly and conveniently. The real-time updates eliminate time-consuming maintenance tasks while giving me constant insight into the progress of our portfolio.
Really enjoy the project plan tool
What do you like best about the product?
The project plan tool is very helpful in organising tasks, milestones and quickly updating the project timelines according to the tasks and dependencies.
I particularly like using the grind and gantt view together to have a quick overview of the project timeline and at the same time a quick and intuitive way to update the progress; being very visual it makes it easier to track the project progress.

What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes forget to 'save' the changes and simply close the tab, which sometimes was resulting on my updates not being saved - I pay a bit more attention now and make sure to save the changes (and it auto-saves very given time), but would be better to have immediate auto-save.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives a very quick and straightforward way for all team members and stakeholders to view progress and status and add input.
I like the collaboration aspect so each team member can take a quick look and know where we stand, this saves a lot of time in communications that were some times not efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
The two-way communication between different pages and the flexibility the tool allows when dealing with complex matters. I've used other tools and searched the market but the flexibility to different occasions from Smartsheet gives them the edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
The possibilities of the tool are enormous and the training is not necessarily the best. The downfall is not having connections to external sources of data built-in.

Great for work and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the collaboration functions that Smartsheet provides. There are so many ways to collaborate with different teams and people which increases visibility across the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be too much complexity - the multiple layers of meshing can get very difficult to keep track of especially when they are not properly controlled.
I would love to see a centralised hub of datameshes so we could easily see where the information is coming or going to.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing information quickly across the business and ensuring the data is correct. I no longer have to send multiple emails trying to ensure that different teams have the correct information to work off, saving me time and increasing efficiency.
Fantastic tool for Collaborative Workplaces!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great tool for facilitating collaboration amongst a team that isn't always physically together. It cuts down on emails and makes communication between people far easier and more efficient.
From a management perspective, it's also a great tool for tracking and managing the workload and workflow of a team giving you quick snapshots of where you team is up to.
We love being able to have multiple people editing the same sheet at the same time, which is a huge improvement on our old way sharing a spreadsheet and constantly having to ask someone else to jump out of it so you can edit it.
Lastly, we absolutely love the scheduled communications/emails that can be set up when certain criteria are met to notify the team that a particular task or project has reached a nominated milestone.
From a management perspective, it's also a great tool for tracking and managing the workload and workflow of a team giving you quick snapshots of where you team is up to.

It doesn't have the exact same functionality of Excel, particularly around keyboard shortcuts, but this is a small price to pay and the benefits far outweigh this downside.
It's also a little frustrating that the first column of a sheet always has to be a text/number column. From time to time, it would be helpful be able to change it to a date column.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped us solve some issues around communication and keeping a whole team up to date on the status of a project. This in turn has improved engagement between team members as the frustration of not being in the loop has been eliminated.
We've also found that tasks are being completed quicker due to scheduled reminders, which has led to greater efficiency for all team members as a result of less down time waiting for someone else's task to be completed.

Powerful, but tricky to learn
What do you like best about the product?
I find the ability to plan work and tie it into different views to share across relevant teams is great. It really helps when working across interdisciplinary teams
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the task view isn't powerful enough compared to things like Trello or Notion; it needs to be a bit more feature driven. I also wish the formulas were a little easier to understand or perhaps had suggestions built in for simple formulas so people can learn more.

Being able to have extreme detail in project plans and dependencies, as well as clear statuses that feed into different views. Spreadsheets take forever to format in the way Smarsheet does, and carrying that across different tasks or boards is really helpful
How Smartsheet brings team together
What do you like best about the product?
Having all your team members working in one space collaboratively is the way to go, data is always live and there is very little incorrect reporting done - as everyone is working on the same sheets.
Sheets and reports are very easy to set up, and dashboards can easily be integrated, SS is our go to software, and we use it all day

My only frustration with SS, when clicking on links in a sheet, it doesn't open a new tab; it opens over the original sheet,

My go-to for organisation
What do you like best about the product?
The automations are consistent and the ease of creating new smartsheets and templates is astounding. Smartsheet keeps projects organisted and ensures I don't lose track of deadlines
What do you dislike about the product?
On the odd occasion, the automated emails don't work which we are not aware of until our clients reach out to us querying something. Although on the website it will state if automations aren't working, it would be useful to have an email through notifying us.

Keep track of upcoming deadlines automatically which reduces manual work, ensure all data and information is in one place, automations go straight to our clients to ensure they receive their requested work back promptly
