We Love Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it autosaves! That feature has saved me more time than I can count compared to Excel. I love how easy it is for my team to get real-time updates. Additionally, it helped our company connect different departments to speed up our processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only issue I would have about smart sheets is the lack of in-depth data analysis and functionality of Excel. It was a lot like google sheets in that aspect. However, the conditioning tools and such were amazing. If they improved that, this would win!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure the coronavirus vaccinations our department was giving out were organized and meeting state and federal guidance. Additionally, helped us bill out and increase our revenue stream.
Smartsheet Desktop App has been a Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
The desktop app! I like the ability to flash between tabs on the desktop app and go to one place for smartsheet, skipping the need to open my web browser. I also enjoy the ability to use a mail server system and template to automatically populate a sheet when I email it out to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
This could be due to user error, but I'm having difficulty squaring away hotkeys in smartsheet versus hotkeys in excel. Some uniformity in those hotkeys could be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking our database of project leads, research, and analytics. Specifically using the mail server to autopopulate email blasts to team members, this has benefited me in the ability to scour back in the records rather than dig through my inbox.
Desktop app - highly recommend
What do you like best about the product?
The desktop app has been a game changer as well as integrating with MSFT Teams. The View Activity Log is extremely helpful for versioning control when working within a large team. Linking sheet-to-sheet is also extremely useful as it allows for minimizing the amount of separate sheets needed to compile useful KPIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have to restore a row that you had moved to another sheet, that action will add columns to the initial sheet that were not originally there.
Automation workflows can be a bit limited in that you have to set up one workflow per desired action, as opposed to being able to set up a parent workflow with child workflows below.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project plans that are accessible to everyone with real-time versioning control. Most importantly, tracking projects moving through the close-out process. Having this visibility has greatly increased the team's knowledge of outstanding items that require review via automated reminders.
Very Capable with Many Functions
What do you like best about the product?
As a Business Analyst in IT, I find it very helpful when my team and I are planning projects. We also use it for our weekly Change Management meetings. The way we can view items in multiple ways is really awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming with all of the different options. This tool can be both incredibly advanced and straightforward, but sometimes it feels difficult to find exactly what "tools" you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives my entire department a tool we can all collaborate in when we are planning changes in the company. It also is incredibly helpful for project planning. A lot of the projects we are working on recently are incredibly complex and this gives us amazing insight and guidance.
Get more done in less time
What do you like best about the product?
Managing tasks is much easier with Smartsheet's automated processes and multiple views of data. This convenience has been an integral part of successfully completing assignments, especially when delegating tasks or providing status updates to project stakeholders. I also like how easy it is to connect with colleagues by sharing documents and other information quickly and effortlessly within Smartsheet. Overall, this greatly helps my job performance by simplifying time-consuming initiatives in a more organized manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the conversion tracking for Smartsheet form submissions extremely cumbersome. Rather than collecting data one at a time and tediously monitoring conversions through lengthy submission processes, it would be beneficial to have server requests available to expedite analysis. This would save me a significant amount of time and energy currently spent on this process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been a great help in managing my projects. With everything organized in one place, I'm aware of what needs to be done and when deadlines are coming up.
Smartsheet is a great tool to integrate workflows and business magement
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about smartsheet is its versatility. I have a scheduling tool, and i can use it to track/control deliverables of my projects, automate reminders and notifications to specific users through workflow setup. I also love that smartsheet can be viewed by users who do not have a license, allowing my company to cut costs, by issuing licenses to who really uses the system, but allowing users without a license to see and keep track of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there isn't much on Smartsheet that I dislike, but if I have to pick something i would mention its export formats. Smartsheet unfortunately does not allow an export properly to MS Project and several of my counterparts still use Microsoft system, and becaus eof that we have to make due by sharing through .xml, which is not great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping my company operations management. Not only we do use Smartsheet as a scheduling tool with its task entries, dependencies, gantt chart, but we use it to ensure we have the latest rate card applied to our projects through a Kanban board that allows us to move projects on each of the steps of our project setup. And we also use it sheet functionality to keep ytrack of the invoices we need to issue either, per sprint, monthly, quarterly or yearly. All of that combined with automation of notifications in each of the steps.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has become my go-to tool for improving existing business practices and implementing new ones. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to set up reminders of upcoming tasks, and the dashboard features allow these actions and metrics to be displayed in a central location. These features ensure everyone involved knows where each process is along its way to completion and implementation. Smartsheet found a gap that other programs lack and delivered a fantastic product.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to pick an aspect I dislike about Smartsheet, as anything that could be deemed as a dislike or limitation would only be nit-picking at this point. The constant updates consistently address the product's shortcomings, such as the once online-only form now having an offline capability or even simply having more customization options on the dashboard. Excited to see where this company goes from here and how those nit-picking items that some users might deem be a thing of the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves more simple issues, such as project and task management, to more complex problems with project collaboration. One of these more complex projects is our Flight Ops LOSA program. Smartsheet has been the tool not only to allow pilots to submit their observations through the offline form on their iPads but also the tool we use to display the metrics of their observations. It has benefited us greatly to have the submission tool act as the visualization tool, as it updates instantaneously to ensure the most accurate and updated information is displayed for analysis. Did I also mention that no coding is needed? Great tool!

What do you like best about the product?
The automation features within smartsheet are some of the most attractive for the platform. It takes very little skill to create notifications and workflows for your entire team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations to which functions are available. If you are someone used to excel and trying to map some of that functionality to smartsheet it can be lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use smartsheet to solve a variety of everyday workplace issues. The most beneficial to date is to use it as a contract and rebate tracker. We can create alerts and automation around schedules for the contracts which would take an absurd amount of time if done on our own.

What do you like best about the product?
The organization it offers due to the features including the filters, the column properties, and the project plan features. My customers like the status report sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how difficult it is to transfer information from one sheet to another. We have updated our standard template several times over the past year and i've needed to manually transfer information over or copy/paste and it gets moved to the bottom of the sheet. Dragging and dropping is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are new to estimating resource hours and resource management is helping our team estimate hours needed for project and breaking down that data into subcategories.
Smartsheets allows us to track projects manage customers data basis all in one easy to use platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets allow me to track many projects with one simple interface. I have used it for purchase approvals, Customer tracking as well as several projects that require coordination between many departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not feel I have anything negative to say about Smartsheets. We use this program every day and plan to roll this into our asset tracking in the future. It has a great search option that allows me to track the many documents i work with.

Smartsheets is allowing me to manage many projects that requires collaboration between many different departments. The program allows all users to view the progress of work from their fellow team mates and helps keep the team focused and accountable.
