Smartsheet Pros and Cons
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to be able to make schedules easily for the team and pull information together through multiple sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is difficult on how to pull information together and it takes time to learn all the nuances. I wish it was easier to navigate and use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me make schedules easily and the gant chart feature makes it easy to visualize timelines to share with our teams.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can link in one cell on a sheet to another sheet using paste special feature. I use that every single day for my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
The attachment icon located in the top right of a sheet used to bring up all attachments on the sheet, but now you have to go to each individual row to bring up the attachments. I wish this feature was changed back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a project manager, Smartsheet is integral in aiding in the proper flow of opportunities that we quote. I can organize and trach each phase of the project and make sure things stay on task.
Smartsheet is a Useful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very easy to navigate for beginners to the workforce, making learning Smartsheet a breeze. Smartsheet is used daily for business tasks and has been very helpful in gaining more knowledge of the business and how our team is doing. We use this daily to track orders, employee performance, retailer performance, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can think of when it comes to using Smartsheet is that sometimes their frequent updates aren't helpful. When searching for something now within Smartsheet, it brings up multiple unrelated items, which makes it harder to find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes sharing data between multiple work locations and employees easier, making work a breeze. It's also very easy to compile data and form reports using this tool.
The program is very efficient and it makes project management easy.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am abe to see all of the projects that I am working on all at once. Also, I am able to assign others to projects that I am working on. We are able to keep each other updated with status notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the search function anymore. I liked the old one better. It is hard to find projects that I worked on in the past. There are too many prompts that open up. My whole team is experiencing this issue. I wish that you all consulted clients before changing that search engine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is making project implementation and execution possible. Other teams in the department request Marketing projects through our Smartsheet form, and their requests directly flow into our Ad-Hoc Smartsheet sheet. Once it goes into that sheet, all of us can review and assign others to that project. We have five power sheets describing projects that are Planned, Active, need assignment, or Complete.

Flexible Collaboration and Views.
It is easy to add Clients, team members and other teams within a organization to get a holistic and/or detailed view of a Project, specific Tasks and next steps.
Easy to integrate with WebSupport Forms for clients that feed into central Lists and Dashboards for the Team efficiently assign appropriate and available parties.

What do you dislike about the product?
It depends on the Host, but some notifications are sent out too frequently and are managed for all the Users.
A more personalized notification approach would be very helpful.

Smartsheet Tracks All.The.Things
What do you like best about the product?
It's accessible by multiple people at once. For portfolio management, it tracks multiple workstreams and combines them into a portfolio view with a dashboard. We automate multiple tasks and reminders. I also love that we have an account representative that is very active with our company and spent time consulting with me on a solid approach to achieve my vision.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formulas are a little clunky but once you get the hang of it, they're fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have a great portfolio management tool. It gives us the ability to track not only projects but projects by department with roll-up to companywide. It allows departments to manage their own trackers which feed the rollup portfolio view, giving us a multitude of datapoints. Many groups use it as a project management tool, and it serves to fill gaps when our other systems or enhancement won't be ready in time. Other groups use it for ticketing.
Very helpful tool in managing projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like usign Smartsheet to manage my projects because it's easy to create both RAID lists and detailed project plans, using different templates. It's great to track activities and assign them to your coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Small things like the fact that you can't change the text format of only few words/sentences inside a cell but you need to apply the same format to the whole box, and you can't filter by color the content of the columns. I also find the search function not very useful and intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Useful to track down all the activities related to a project, dividing them in categories and assigning key dates and people to them. Easy to customize the layout, much better experience than a normal spreadsheet.
Simple but robust
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet performs like many of the tools I'm used to using every day like excel but has the ability to do so much more. The integrations and automations are where the tool really shines.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is somewhat of a ramp-up period in order to get the tool to do exactly what you're looking for and it's not exactly intuitive once you're using the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much of our department has standardized on Smartsheet, which has done wonders for collaboration across our teams. Smartsheet helps keep us aligned across many activities, and with automation, our sheets can inform others with calendars, tasks, comments, and file uploads.
An excellent tool used for those who are not familiar with spreadsheets.
What do you like best about the product?
I am someone who had minimal experience with spreadsheets (excel). Smartsheets was very easy for me to get the hang of. I still have not utilized all of its features, but I am looking forward to learning how Smartsheets will be useful for our small school in terms of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I was a bit overwhelmed of all the possibilities that Smartsheets had. But I guess that is true with a lot of tools used for data. There is nothing I can pick out that I dislike. But when I find that one thing, I will make sure I make it known.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small school, we work with an accountant "out of house" that handles all of our finances. I am a bookkeeper that communicates with our accountant on various financial matters. Smartsheets is an easy tool for me to use to keep track of purchases made for our school, donations given, and items that need to be paid, etc.
The Sheet that promotes Collaboration and Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
What i like best with Smartsheet is that it can help you with efficiency in data input and report generation. It has some features such as dashboards which provides excellent visualization on how your raw data can be presented in a organized manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though i like how collaborative Smartsheet can be by sharing the sheets and updating it real time online, internet access might get on the way. Also, there are certain limitations with the number of columns and rows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Considering a huge amount of projects for constant monitoring and update, data input and generating reports can consume so much time and effort. But with Smartsheet, you can just share a particular sheet to the project in charge and your report will reupdate real time.
