Essential Program for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an intuitive program for all my project management needs. Using it for entire projects, snag lists, documenting changes, etc. It's incredibly useful and I use it on a daily basis with my team for managing our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Smartsheet very intuitive to be honest and don't really have anything I dislike about it. We did struggle for a while with matching our project plans up with other project programs like Jira, but there is an integration available now which makes things so much easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives us one place to store all of our project schedules and associated documents, assuring that everyone has access to everything they need. We don't have to spend time looking for plans etc, and we save standard project plans that we can duplicate and customize for new projects, making our jobs so much quicker.
Monitors project and update status real time.
What do you like best about the product?
Very useful for project monitoring. Users can create monitoring programs for specific tasks. Quickly updates status real time. Although this is similar to MS Excel, it has advanced functions that are very helpful to project programming. You can also attach files. Can navigate reference files thru attachments
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to connect to the internet for this to work correctly. Just a suggestion for an additional function to navigate the program even without connecting to the internet for some areas with low internet connectivity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves timely updating of project status and collaboration of different departments concerned. Able to bridge the gaps of communication, especially in updating the status of team members in other locations.
Quick to learn , and very efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps to keep track of the progress of our projects,it's easy to use, and very understandable. With just a quick look you will know what is going on overall
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited use of sheets which is sometimes not enough. Trying to import Excell sheets is sometimes tricky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets help our team keep track of projects that we are currently busy with, future projects that are coming. Smartsheet also helps us to plan our budget and projects dates
Easy to get started with the basics, but quickly becomes complicated if you go deeper
What do you like best about the product?
I like how visually appealing it is when bare-bones programming is utilized. This creates a quick and easy way to track the life of projects through different departments and personnel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very quickly, you hit a programming wall. Anything outside of excel type of organization requires quite a bit of time and research to develop your sheets into something that can relay intuitive information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets allows everyone in our organization to be on the same page with which project is where and who is responsible for it. We're able to schedule and track the life of projects easily.
Smartsheet: Useful Collaboration & Monitoring Network
What do you like best about the product?
Tracking and monitoring became less hassle. Data are organized well with choices of what to see/filter. Also, collaboration with colleagues and teams becomes easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think I don't have any problem with it since it is a competent program but would like to have more improvements like visuals and more tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking and recording data for numerous projects help us maximize our time. Collaboration also with different people located in other places is a plus. Also, editing data will be reflected in realtime, which is very good.
DYNAMIC TOOL TO INTEGRATE DATA AT LARGER SCALE
What do you like best about the product?
Best thing about Smartsheet is that alot of users can have an access to it at the same time. Since Covid remote working has been a new norm in organizations and Smartsheets have definitely brought easy ways to access data with high volume cocurrently.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have a little lag while scrolling down a large data. Filter commands are not that user friendly as sometimes it does take a bit more time to sort out data where i think it can be better if updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Smartsheets have solved is to have an access to all our sheets such as dashboards and inventory reports at the same time. This cloud feature is a key to our project management tools where we are not worried to be online every time a client is looking dive in data.
Known for Projects but is a Versatile MultiPurpose Platform
What do you like best about the product?
No code needed to create robust data models and powerful dashboards. Automation is great to eliminate the need of generating and sending repetive reports. Portals are a terrific option to proide visibility and traceability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cell limits per Grid. No "page filters/Slicers" for Dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet we collaborate simultaneously in the management of Complex tasks, just that was a game changer for us. Notifications, Alerts and Escalations through automation has eliminated the extra time and efforts of building repetitive reports daily. Giving acces to a tailor made portal for our key customers has become a significant advantage in our industry (Contract Logistics & Control Tower)
Great collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Instant updates to our team, collaborating across multiple projects. Simple to use and quite comparable to Excel spreadsheets so our users find them quite intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin tool can be a bit cumbersome to use, adding users. We are going through a rebrand and we often have users trying to access, signing up for trial on their new email address rather than their original account address. Once we realise what has happened, when we go to add the second email address, it says it is already used by another account. If we are adding to a paid licence, it would be good if it is already on another account to have the option to perhaps send an email to combine the secondary email to the licenced account (and I imagine bring in any sheets with that email address, though for us that would not be an issue, our users are trying to access their existing sheets).
Further, I have used Smartsheets for about 8 years. I was married 7 years ago. I cannot get Smartsheets to update my name to SIMANDL not MASON and every time I add myself to a task it is trying to default to 'Jennifer Mason'. We also imported a data set many years ago of trades as we were running a construction project. There is no way to clear these out from our contacts unless this is completed one by one. We would appreciate the ability to delete many contacts.

Previously, we used the Gannt chart functionality on a commercial extension for an office (large project), and for building new homes.

The best project management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
The upside of Smartsheet is that it not only keeps me and my team organized but it keeps everyone on track with upcoming deadlines. No projects get missed with Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the email notifications about upcoming projects. I feel like it can be more streamlined and have more of a description. Maybe desktop notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves any and all organizational issues. There is a row for every team member so each member knows where to look. It also increases productivity and collaboration
Wow! So Easy to Use and Amazing Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Smartsheets has flexible views that display data in various forms like calendars and cards. This helps me stay organized.
It is very user-friendly and easy to see what information and tasks I need to complete.
I love how I can share the documents with my teams, and we can collaborate in real time.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the downsides of Smartsheets is that the max cells are 500,000.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is solving the collaboration and team work problem we sometimes have with Excel features in Teams. Smartsheets is very robust, and I like the different views available.
