Simple UI Makes Tracking Hours Easy, Some Improvements Needed
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet for its ease of use and simple user interface, which makes it straightforward to log my billable hours for client projects and internal tasks. It helps me calculate exact billable hours efficiently, ensuring accurate billing to clients. Additionally, I value the multi-level approval process feature within Smartsheet, which adds a layer of flexibility and customization to my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Smartsheet should improve on distinguishing between billable and non-billable hours. Currently, all activities are not clearly separated, which could streamline my billing processes if they appeared distinctly. Additionally, the initial setup of Smartsheet presented a bit of a learning curve, which made it slightly challenging to get started smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to calculate exact billable hours for clients, benefiting from its ease of use and simple UI. However, I wish it could display billable and non-billable hours separately.
Great for Gantt Charts, Not the Most Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet's ease of creating Gantt charts particularly beneficial. This feature greatly facilitates my ability to manage and visualize project timelines, which is crucial when I am presenting information to internal teams. The capability to easily mark dependencies and create these links within Gantt charts is invaluable to me, especially for managing small, disparate projects. Additionally, the initial setup of Smartsheet was a breeze, with no setup required, allowing us to get started without any hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Smartsheet to be not the most intuitive software which makes it harder to get everyone on my team to use it. Specifically, creating dependencies, using shortcuts for indents, and mapping baseline dates to indicate original plans are not easy tasks within the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for project management; it simplifies creating Gantt charts and tracking dependencies, keeping my team informed and aligned.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet for work training and managing files, and I love how it saves paperwork and makes everything more efficient and faster. The platform is incredibly easy to use, which is a huge advantage, especially when juggling multiple tasks. It's also very straightforward, eliminating any unnecessary complications that can slow down workflow. I also found the initial setup to be very easy, which made getting started with Smartsheet hassle-free. I appreciate that it functions well just the way it is, without needing integrations with other software, and I’m so confident in its effectiveness that I would absolutely recommend it with a perfect score.

Overpriced and Lacking Real Innovation
What do you like best about the product?
It's an ok productivity tool and project planner
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure really doesn't justify the cost, in my opinion. There has been very little genuine development over the past eight years. Additionally, there seems to be little interest in the premium apps, likely because they are overpriced and somewhat misleading. For example, the so-called API Data Shuttle isn't actually an API—it simply allows you to download and then upload data, so it doesn't provide a real-time or live API connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool provided a fast and straightforward way to track and share information. However, its dashboarding capabilities are quite limited, and I often found myself needing to use PBi dashboards to supplement the rather makeshift ones available here. Unfortunately, recent changes to the pricing structure have made us reconsider its value, and we will probably look for alternatives.
Built-In Automation and Attachments Make Work Effortless

the ability to have attachments built in and automate actions instead of relying on macro's in Excel which not everyone knows how to do

loading time takes a while since it's all webbased. be nicer with a desktop application

Tracking actions on a project for an entire team. Smart sheet provides better integration and updates for the team

Smartsheet has helped us move from scattered, manual project tracking to a centralized, automated system. It’s solved visibility and communication issues, made reporting much easier, and saved our team a significant amount of time by eliminating manual updates

What do you like best about the product?
This software is straightforward to use and simple to understand, making it accessible even for those who are new to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The website has a rather outdated design; it would be much better if it featured a more modern look.

I use it primarily for scheduling and posting on social media, as well as for translations. Another feature I appreciate is the well-maintained log, which provides a clear record of who accessed the sheet, when they did so, and how it was used.

The platform offers strong collaboration and reporting features. I appreciate the ability to create templates, which allows you to truly tailor the experience to your organization. Additionally, the customizable workspaces are a valuable aspect, enabling you to adapt the setup to fit your specific needs.

The export and filter features require quite a bit of filtering before you can get exactly what you need.

Everything is up to date, and the collaboration between workspaces is making tasks much easier. The ability to create templates also helps to standardize your work.

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it brings everything together in one place, making it easy to manage projects from start to finish without juggling multiple tools. Its real-time collaboration features let my team work together smoothly, no matter where we are. I also appreciate the flexibility to customize views and workflows to fit our specific needs. Lastly, the dashboards give me clear insights into project progress, helping me make quick, informed decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my experience, Smartsheet can be a bit challenging to learn because of its many advanced features. I also find the mobile app limiting since it doesn’t offer all the functions available on the desktop. The need to manually save and refresh sometimes interrupts my workflow, as changes aren’t updated instantly. Lastly, I feel the pricing is on the higher side for smaller teams, and the interface isn’t always the easiest to navigate.

This helps me save time by reducing back-and-forth emails and keeping everyone aligned with up-to-date information. It also streamlines workflow automation, which cuts down on repetitive manual work. Overall, it makes managing complex projects much easier and more efficient for me and my team.
