Automate Everything You Can
What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the automation possibilities with Smartsheets. My favorites being the workflows and the dashboards. The ability to quickly get a glimpse at data and understand what is going on is great. Yes; Excel can do a lot of these things, but the ability to tie certain milestones and deadlines to an email notification is what separates the two. That feature alone makes a big difference.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that the hardest thing is that Smartsheets is just enough different from Excel to be confusing. I had to take a course and get certified on features before I really felt like I had understanding to build some of the pieces that we use now for our projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing us to stay organized and on top of projects. Particularly our construction and real estate projects where the timelines are always changing because of variables that are out of our control.
Simple and effective tool to stay on top of your projects
What do you like best about the product?
The app is simple to use, powerful and tailorable to my needs. It allows me to keep track of my whole area, schedule activities, analyze data and spot critical tasks in a timely manner. All of this while constantly experimenting with new management tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is complex to keep users engaged on the app. They tend to drift away from the app and work off the grid, making the tool redundant. Few more aspects of gamification could help with this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps in:

Great for big projects
What do you like best about the product?
I find that the automation is very helpful to stay on task. The reminder emails help to save a lot of back and forth in other emails asking people for their part of the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features I do not feel are intuitive. I had to add an email to a task and I kept getting emails saying that not everyone was receiving the reminders. It took multiple steps and other super users to figure out how to add a simple email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple teams have one place to go for their project "to do" list. This helps us all stay on track and keeps missed steps from happening.

What do you like best about the product?
We really like using smartsheets because it emails all those who need notified when you make a change. We also can add notes and converse with one another.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was first intimidating to use for advanced settings, but after using it a while it is a breeze

We can work together in one sheet and it notifies who needs to do what next, and on down the line. It helps when dealing with multiple line items.
Very use full to track the activity in sequence with system compliance.
What do you like best about the product?
Tracking and backlogs with the baseline bring integrity. The way it shows interdependency between the jobs provides the controls on project movement. Also likes the way it is presented.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many inputs and need improvement according to job nature. For example, it can identify the next steps specifically for IT and Pharma. However, IT & Pharma experts can provide their input in this area. I'm ready to give any support to get the job nature-specific wise sheet that can identify the next and previous steps or prefilled format to enter the very few inputs to track the same.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to trigger workflow from logics of raw data. And every data entry point has cell history. They both are important to manage complex projects. I also like the flexibility in highlighting cells of new updates from any selected dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing basic pivot table functions from excel - distinct count, standard deviations, selective rows to show count/average.
If I need to do basic data analysis, I need to export excel but then the file doesn't link to the live data. I miss that data link function from SharePoint List.

It provides transparency of the project to everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet provides holistic viewing of data and information that is best especially for working groups of individuals. It is best for reporting, analyzing and planning a specific process or projects that needs to be fulfilled or monitored. It opens opportunities for better and faster collaborations in a group.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the downside of Smartsheet is the user's unfamiliarity with the tool's functions and data security. Also, the lack of technical support to train with the software.

Problems in collaboration and reviewing the status of the project. Smartsheet solves the real-time viewing and analyzing of data as a group. With this the tool helps the group to see the risk and opportunity real-time.

Some common things I dislikes or limitations about Smartsheet include its steep learning curve, limited formatting options, lack of advanced functions, basic database capabilities, higher pricing for larger teams, and occasional performance issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves problems related to organizational efficiency, collaboration, task tracking, visibility, process automation, and accessibility. It benefits users by improving efficiency, enhancing collaboration, promoting accountability, enabling data-driven decisions, saving time, and increasing mobility.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a software that helps you collaborate with your team,, assign tasks, manage other's jobs, manage your calendar, and share documents with other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things I don't like about Smrtsheet are there are no free versions. The project can be very complex because of too many features. too many features that sometimes you find not needed in the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it organizes schedules and collaborates with many fields, manages the budget at the same time you can use the software as spreadsheet templates, and also tracks calendar schedules.
Works good for our company!
What do you like best about the product?
Having all data available to shift into reports along with the historical data from the previous year. Easy to enter information and use the database. All staff can access the information in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our company, once it was setup, if we needed to make adjustments, it seemed to not carry forward for all sheets. Therefore takes time to go back and adjust all the monthly sheets we have set up for the year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is most directly helping with project timelines and construction timelines. We are also tracking construction costs each month so assure we are staying on track or notice if something is under spent or over spent.
