Perfect product to replace your Excel sheets
What do you like best about the product?
Upsides are definitely live data and being able to collaborate in real-time. No need to send updates or constantly exchanging files until you are unsure if the data is accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited tools for creating graphs or visuals from your data. It would also be better if connections weren't locked behind paid add-ons. Also the initial learning curve is high and it makes it hard to convince people to start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us keep track of a lot of data, keeping all relevant people informed and creating reports etc. makes it easy for the right people to see the infomation that is relevant for them. Also notifications, previously we would rely on Outlook for notifications that something is due, now it is completely automated.

Smartsheet solves several problems by providing a centralized project management and collaboration platform. It eliminates the need for scattered spreadsheets and disparate communication channels, streamlining workflows and improving team coordination. The platform's automation features, real-time updates, and task-tracking capabilities enhance efficiency, visibility, and accountability, improving productivity and smoother project execution.

What do you like best about the product?
I especially enjoy the convenience of using Smartsheet's dynamic sheet views and Gantt charts to track milestones, which is critical to keeping everyone focused on our goals. I also appreciate how quickly data can be shared, either through an automated report or a live collaboration session, ensuring that team members across departments have access when decisions need to be made efficiently. In addition, the platform's real-time communication capabilities allow us to stay up to date and collaborate effortlessly, regardless of geographic location.Smartsheet has really helped us streamline processes while improving project outcomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Smartsheet lacks a comprehensive guide to help with automation. Without the necessary knowledge, it is very difficult to effectively create automated processes. It would be beneficial if there were clear guidelines and step-by-step instructions for creating automations so that users don't have to manually link different documents together to run these processes efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet's help in organizing my tasks and keeping me up to date on each project is a huge time saver. By being able to see progress instantly, I'm better equipped to make informed decisions that streamline the completion of our work efficiently.

It allows me to manage, create and share the project monitoring/reports, task and process. It is like microsoft excel but with upgraded feature which allows me to handle my projects at works tinely and efficiently.it has automations, input from web forms, and dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes sheet or spreadsheet don't update in real time. We cannot filter the row and the cell linking is limited. As well as data input is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automation really helped our team especially when preparing cost estimates and punchlisting at site. Its is very convenient to use to a large company for survey poll which we can access online easily. It also helped us identify our project's delays and wht is super appreciated is the dashboard

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the ease of use that Smartsheet provides. It requires no special knowledge or training and has a great library of templates for managing projects, policy creation, priority setting, and overall business strategy. In addition, their customer service is excellent - if I ever have any questions or concerns, they're always available to help. This makes it an ideal tool for executives who need help with complex projects but are not tech-savvy enough to navigate complicated systems on their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Smartsheet lacks the ability to customize fonts, sizes, and alignment in forms and digital applications. Collaborating with colleagues who have limited access can also prove difficult at times. In addition, the frequent need to select "Save" after making changes is an annoyance that adds unnecessary redundancy to this software program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to stay organized and on track with my employee request management. By providing an easy-to-read dashboard of all tasks, I can quickly see which ones need attention, set deadlines for completion, or delegate as needed - ensuring that no requests slip through the cracks.

In Smartsheet, if a column is deleted, it becomes challenging to identify the responsible party or restore it to its original state.

Smartsheet assists my firm in consolidating and centralizing all furniture, materials, and finishes details in a single location. This comprehensive repository is accessible not only to my team but also to clients and vendors.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is its collaborative capability. It has helped me stay aligned with both my clients and my coworkers instantaneously. The build-in features for measuring duration, predecessors, and baselines are all very helpful for managing timelines as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet would be far more useful if it were better integrated with Resource Management. Our firm purchased Resource Management and have been working to integrate it with Smartsheet for more than two years. During this time, there seems to have been minimal effort to integrate the two platfroms. We are unable to integrate our HR data into Smartsheet due to this.

Smartsheet helps us when tracking projects, timelines, project metrics, resourcing, invoicing, and other functions that help us stay organized within our delivery organization.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to organize information. I only use it to track my tasks, but there seem to be other valuable functionalities. In terms of competitors, Smartsheet appears to be intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more Excel functions when it comes to sheets, I tried to create a filter in a column so that people can only enter a date after today, and there was no way to do that. Smartsheet understands TODAY() function, but I couldn't use it in a filter even then. I could find no workaround.

Keeping track of coworkers' projects for improved collaboration. I noticed it is easier for our managers to delegate work efficiently. My business performance has increased thanks to better organization.

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Smartsheet at my last two companies. It is a wonderful way to create and share dashboards, organize information and generate Gantt charts for project development and tracking. The interface is clean and fairly easy to understand, with multiple ways of visualizing input data. The sharing function works very well, allowing collaboration across teams separated by distance and time zone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two things emerged from my use over the past two years: conditional formatting and Gantt chart functionality. With respect to conditional formatting, extending a set of rules to multiple columns is impossible. You have to build the rules for each column independently, which takes time and raises the risk of errors. Drag and drop functionality within the Gantt view does not work well. If you attempt to modify the sequence through the use of drag and drop, task relationships are broken; they have to be rebuilt to see what might happen.
Additionally, in the Gannt view, there are times when predecessor/successor relationships are sometimes hard to suss out, with occasional untraceable errors requiring a delete and re-entry.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the moment, it is providing a tool to generate internal dashboards and timelines useful for understanding the projects at hand. I would say that the value proposition has been high - we've been able to use Smartsheet as a replacement for two expensive proprietary software packages.
Smartsheet Form has helped so much for user feedback!
What do you like best about the product?
Using the Smartsheet form to get user feedback has saved time gathering analytics. The automation for workflow notifications based and logic based on answers has helped during UAT testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more options in fields to help organize data and feedback within smartsheet, like similar excel functions/formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage requests for flex days. We also use for users feedback on UAT testing. We like the dashboards to monitor user engagement on our help site. We like the workflow automation and notification.
