Smartsheet makes it easy to manage projects with a dispersed team.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is intuitive and easy to use. We found the learning curve to be really quick, coming from MS Project. Smarsheet makes it easy to initiate projects, share deliverables, and manage project timelines with our dispersed team of engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we don't have much to complain about. Smarsheet has given us all the tools we need to effectively manage projects. However, we've struggled with generating PDFs or printouts of our project timelines. They seem to show the rows either fully collapsed or fully expanded, but nothing in between.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smarsheet is allowing us to stay on top of our multiple long-term projects, despite having geographically dispersed contributors. We all can efficiently track timelines, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, and budget impacts in realtime. This helps us mitigate any delays or budget creep.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create rows, sub rows, and format columns, and it has a lot of functions similar to Excel, like conditional formatting and some formulas. The ability to create forms that people can submit has been an enormous value to managing my worklist.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike exactly. Creating summaries for dashboards can be a multi-step process and is a bit clunky at times. Like all products, it has minor annoyances, but I can't think of them right now. It does quite a lot, and it does it well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped me to centralize work tasks and projects instead of having files everywhere on our server. My supervisor and I work from the same worklist; he always knows what I am working on at a glance and can contribute to the work as well. Other employees can fill out a request form, and the requests land in my worksheet as new rows. I've been able to consolidate a lot of complicated workflows and to-do lists, they are easy to find now, and conditional formatting combined with checkboxes has been very helpful. We are also using this to manage projects with many complicated parts and require many different people to be assigned to tasks. I have a worksheet that automatically alerts me to some employees with necessary subscriptions that must be renewed annually.
Great Project Management Software with Robust Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Its intuitive spreadsheet-like interface, teams can easily organize and track their projects, assign tasks, and collaborate in real-time. The ability to automate workflows and integrate with other tools further enhances productivity and streamlines project management processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet Dashboard view could be more robust than its current iteration. A lack of widescreen viewing experience options limits its ability to be used for display board purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allow total team collaboration and communication to give a seamless project management experience. The automation aspect of the software means my projects can stay up to date without active supervision.
Great tool for managing projects, bear in mind this is not a Portfolio tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in ensuring all key project control data is stored and updated in one tool and easily change views of the data. Can easily @people to get things done or updated, excellent view of historical changes and ability to bring progress to virtual meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to report progress against multiple projects that form a Programme or bring seperate programmes together in one dashboard is really tricky and actually not worth the effort of doing this in smartsheet. We at NHS Property Services have utilised a PowerBI developer to create Programme dahsboards that pull this data into a pack that works for senior stakeholders.

It is a very user-friendly project management tool that enables corporates to keep track of every project easily, helpful with preparing reports to use for business development

Although it is a user-friendly tool, there are many things that a user must know to get maximum efficiency.
Despite there being a Smartsheet university to learn about many things, it is expensive to get one-to-one help to create custom solutions

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The different project requires different project managers, but all the work are done by same workshops. It is really important to make a plan to decrease conflict in workshops to decrease the lost of time

What do you like best about the product?
It's convenient for record tracking, and cell size automatically adjusts to the inserted sentences, which saves the time of manually expanding the rows, it also logs out automatically to prevent files from being accidentally edited by others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered any problem using smart sheet so far, but there is a save button on smartsheet, and it seems that if you fail to save the file, there is a chance that there will be no backup file to the edited content, would be nice to have a backup faction per user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in record tracking; it shows the number of days used completing a task and shows the job is being processed; with data correctly listed down, I would always know how long I have been in one particular task.
Using Smartsheet for about six months now for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I used to work with Microsoft Project and switched to Smartsheet about six months ago. I find it very easy to use compared to MS Project. It is user-friendly. I haven't had any training, and I think it is a great and easy tool for tracking project progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any significant downsides, it provides me with all the tools I need to track progress across projects. It has only been six months, so maybe I will find issues later, but so far, so good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping me create project schedules. I can then assign resources to each project task and regularly review schedules to track project progression.

What I like best about Smartsheet is its reliable and error-free performance, allowing me to track projects and manage my staff across multiple users without any downtime.

There is a slight learning curve, especially with the more advanced features in Smartsheet. However, I have discovered that by dedicating some effort and using the available customer support and tutorials, I have been able to grasp and use these features, enhancing our project management abilities. The initial challenges were overcome with the help of the provided resources, making the experience rewarding.

What do you like best about the product?
All sheets are exportable to non smartsheet workspace. The automation function really help in reminding the team related to project target dates - due for the next 2 weeks.
All sheets and dashboards can easilly be shared to other non PMO teams for collaboration and review of project performance,

In our team, we have multiple trackers outside Smartsheet. When we imported to Smartsheet - we could easily consolidate and produce several levels of summary reports (depending on the requirement of management, senior management and executive.
In Smartsheet, we created the look and feel of the dashboard for all PMO project managers so they can easily use it for presentations during cadence meetings with clients.
