Great tool for Business, Data, & Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is that Smartsheet userfriendly data tool. Our business is big on tracking and planning using our data and scorecard. Smartsheet allows us to do that and house our information all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It Doesn't allow multiple tabs or sheets in the same project. It would be great if Smartsheet would have similar features like that of Excel or Google sheets where you can add a new tab or sheet in the same project. Without it, the functionality is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is tracking data, managing key project progress and indicators for reaching company goals/targets. It is also a helpful communication tool amoungst our leadership team.
Daily Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to view the project in different formats, ie. Gantt Chart, Calendar, or by sub-tasks. The update emails to the responsible parties and linkage to other projects or smartsheets is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the detailed progress is recorded in the "conversations," the inability to see all the updates from a particular row in one concise summary is missing. I also wished that the system would connect well with some of the various ticketing systems that we use such as JIRA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The project manager needs the ability to report to senior management on multiple complex projects as well as keep all the people responsible for smaller tasks up-to-date.
Great and Flexible Workflow Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of being able to structure your tables and dashboard to exactly what you need, as well as the automation creation which allows you to cover most criteria you would need out of the system.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does have a slightly steep learning curve if you are coming into the system brand new, as it is quite an indepth and flexible system it can feel overwhelming. A trailhead style training set up like Salesforce would be an easy way to overcome this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving us having a system where we can have all requests come into the team and be managed in a central place as well as prioritising what is completed when.
Smartsheet is the way!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet automates manual tasks and is an excellent tool for managing projects and rollouts. The part I have found most useful is that the dashboards can be linked to reports that are built off sheets. The ability to update data in a report or dashboard and have it update the source sheet is a real time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that when a workspace template is copied all of the items are not properly configured in the new copied workspace. For example, if you have a form link in a dashboard and you copy the workspace, then old form URL remains and the user, if they don't know better, will actually continue to update the original sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking project tasks, milestones, and scorecards to deliver world-class telecom solutions on time with visibility to all stakeholders. When a new customer sees how we use Smartsheet, I know that they are left thinking that they will be in great hands.
Collaboration tool in Global ERP system implementation
What do you like best about the product?
We use Smartsheet in a global ERP system implementation program. One of the main uses is to develop and execute cutover plans. It is a very good tool for collaboration when many people are involved. We never occur any access issues that you can see on other platforms and it is intitive to use for new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users has to create their own accounts. No single sign-on using company AD accounts. We also plan down to specific hours. The date field format cannot handle date and hour. That could be an improvement point.

Online collaboration and real time updates of status in during cutovers.
Project Updates and Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is that it helps us do our daily work more manageable, especially when it comes to monitoring and updating multiple projects simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of the Smartsheet right now, based on my experience, is the limitation on the file size that you can attach to the system and sometimes slow response and causes lag when multiple users are active.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my line of work, the Smartsheet solves our problem regarding monitoring our projects' actual updates/status. It benefits us in that, in a simple update, everyone can access and see the updates so they can use it in reports, etc., without relying on the information or updates of co-workers.
A Smarter, Happier Way to Manage Projects
What do you like best about the product?
As a tech-savvy individual, I find Smartsheet to be a highly user-friendly tool. What I particularly appreciate is the dashboard creation feature, which enables me to present data from my main tracker in a clear, concise, and visually engaging way
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find challenging about Smartsheet is the recent changes in permission access. Although I am one of the admins of our workspace and a designated 'Member', I encounter difficulties accessing certain folders where I lack editing permissions. Previously, as a licensed user, access was more flexible and not a concern. However, I recognize that these changes in permission settings are intended to enhance data security and accountability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet addresses our challenges and benefits both me and my team through its centralized tracker, which provides a secure and effective way to manage our work in one place.
Easy to use and extremely useful!
What do you like best about the product?
I regularly use Smartsheets to build project timelines. With the ability to add predecessors, creating tons of complex schedules is quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the only downsides is that it's not the best collaborative tool. Often, I have to refresh to see updates that a coworker has made on a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Smartsheet, I can have all project schedules live in one document that all my team members can access. Everyone can check the document at their leisure.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet as a project management tool has all the features you would require as well as the flexibility to adapt how it is employed to align with your methodology and processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that once we reached a certain size, we were no longer able to add new employees easily - it now requires that we reach out to our assigned account manager, sign a new DocuSign, and sometimes take days. This is frustrating when onboarding new employees.
Did not like "Dynamic Views" (an add-on and expensive capability) and was locked into it for a year while it did not do what we were sold. Experience with add-on products has been disappointing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to manage projects as well as managed services engagements with consistent processes and methodology for our staff and clients, but also allows us the flexibility to manage these two types of engagements in some different ways. We strive for uniformity across a large portfolio of clients and projects we manage, but also have flexibility to deviate as needed based on engagement type.
Swiss Army Knife of data wrangling
What do you like best about the product?
On the surface, SS is easily picked up as a spreadsheet analogue, so most new users will feel comfortable right away. The added communication extras like attachment storage, forms, threaded comments and email notifications all make it a strong tool for collecting and managing all kinds of data. Under the hood, the report and dashboard tools, data management, cell linking, automations and prefab templates make building custom sheets to meet almost any need make it a powerful platform, especially for distributed teams dedicated to working in a cloud environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
Over the years, the product platform and the avaialble suites / feature level packages have been a moving target, sometimes seeing the next needed functionality bundled with an enterprise upgrade package for a significant upsell, and sometimes later available on a la carte basis.
Support is genererally good. Implementation process can be time consuming, but still generally far more agile compaired to larger ERP system integrations.
Backup & recovery could be better. Automated backups are possible but only capture the data, not the formulas / links that go with it, and the backups have to be download via an email link that expires.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its been a great bridge / gap filler between excel based data and process management in a Small Co. environment not yet ready for a large ERP / PDM system. Our use has improved efficiency and reliability of key data stores.
