Easy to use yet powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I am a big fan of Smartsheet because of its incredible collaboration capabilities. Multiple users can update, sort and view data simultaneously without having to use complicated programs like Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint, and we can use powerful features like switching between grid, tile and calendar formats at the touch of a button. My team has had great success in creating stunning presentations that are easy to understand because of Smartsheet's intuitive interface, which has made other departments interested in using it - saving time and increasing overall efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the difficulty of using Smartsheet compared to Excel and the lack of user-friendly features, such as the inability to transfer multiple pages at once. This makes it inefficient and difficult for users to work with. To improve this platform, offering users the option to save partially constructed columns would go a long way towards making it more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I benefit from Smartsheet because I'm able to manage multiple teams and projects with ease, quickly provide up-to-date reports to senior management, and track key metrics in real time using executive dashboards.
Unlocking the Potential of Cross-Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to link sheets across projects and teams made for seamless data sharing. Additionally, setting up workspaces to control who can edit, view, and administer made adding and removing users a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
First, most users view it as a new version of Excel, so breaking the habit of stuffing cells with loads of information takes time and patience. Second, reportiong can be a bit clunky to get setup, once running though it is very easy to maintain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is serving as a standing for a more developed ERP software. As our company grows it is nice to have the flexibility to scale our data and control the process changes as the needs arise rather than utilizing an expensive software solution that would be a bit of overkill given our needs.
Enable the Team to monitor project development
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share with the Team, filters and file linking are very useful tools to always have a clear picture of how projects are going. There are several functions and possibilities to set up efficient dashboards which allow for a great potential in the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being more of an Excel user, working with a single tab per file requires some getting used to and different planning when structuring the work sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows Project Managers to follow the development in great detail, setting up tasks and reminders. At the same time, it enables management to get a high level picture of our pipeline and the different stages projects are in, including timelines and budgeting.
Smartsheet and my every day factory
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy the software is to use. I am over 50 years old, and quickly learning and using this software to its fullest potential allows me to be more efficient and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about this software. I would like to see some better graphing features in the future, but short of that, I am very impressed with the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product is helping with our workflows in the factory. Easy approvals with traceability. We also use it for our project tracking and email alerts when tasks are behind schedule.
Maximise your productivity with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Smartsheet provides great accessibility for all users, as well as incredible usability and functionality. The timeline view of the Gantt charts is an incredibly useful tool for monitoring projects and managing my own time more efficiently. With the ability to set deadlines, get reminders when work needs to be completed soon, or adjust column widths depending on how much detail I need - it just makes life so easy! This is why we think Smartsheet really stands out from other task management systems available today; its functionality is truly second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Smartsheet fails to connect to Salesforce Gainsight, forcing customers to manually double up on tracking their tasks. This inefficiency is particularly frustrating for Customer Success Managers (CSMs), who are forced to spend extra time juggling between two systems when they should be able to collaborate much more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet has dramatically improved my team's performance. It allows us to stay organised and connected by providing a single, cloud-based source for all our data. This makes communication easier and ensures that everyone is looking at the same information at all times.
Organise all your tasks with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Smartsheet is so highly customisable. It makes it easy to aggregate data from multiple sources, create tools for specific processes, and display results in different formats. The interface has also been thoughtfully designed; it's much more intuitive than other project management platforms, even after being configured by a Smartsheet expert! All in all, I believe that the judicious use of this powerful tool can make managing projects easier and significantly faster, while also providing real-time dashboard visualisation effects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that Smartsheet does not offer the same sophisticated features as Excel. For example, when I need to create a long-term weekly plan, it is inconvenient and time-consuming because I cannot rearrange columns or combine them into horizontal and vertical views with text formatting options like I can in Excel. This lack of flexibility significantly limits my productivity when working on such projects using Smartsheet.

Smartsheet helps me stay organised and on track with my projects. By delegating responsibility for each row, I can clearly see what tasks need to be completed, while also keeping track of who is working on what in real time.
Achieve more quickly and easily
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Smartsheet simplifies many of the tedious tasks associated with creating and managing documents. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to create well-structured documents while implementing advanced privacy protections for sensitive information. With its customisable templates, I'm able to quickly and easily tailor any project or task to specific needs - ultimately saving time and promoting effective team collaboration through secure access controls. Taken together, these features clearly add value to the platform and make it one of my favourite tools for fast, efficient planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found SmartSheet to be less intuitive than other spreadsheets and have often struggled to perform even the most basic calculations. The process of editing a column containing data is particularly tedious as it requires you to manually adjust each cell. I have listed some of my thoughts on how to improve the usability of Smartsheet for users around the world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I benefit from Smartsheet because it allows me to manage my projects more efficiently by overcoming certain challenges that weren't possible with older project management software.
Intuitive solution with good value.
What do you like best about the product?
Can be used widely within the organization without requiring all users to be licensed. Broadly applicable. Intuitive to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sheet capacity limits are burdensome. Work around requires creation and management of many sheets. Loading and saving can be sluggish at times for unknown reasons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A major use is scheduling and tracking production work through fabrication shop. Another is managing project data and collaborating on those projects as they are completed. Also use the tool in many instances for request submission and tracking.
Smartsheet is GREAT tool for organizing work outside the confines of inefficient company PM software
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Smartsheet is the availability of a free version to try. As a project management consultant, I do not always have access to my contracted company's full suite of software so Smartsheet was available when I didn't have a subscription. Now that I am full-time with a great company, I have a paid subscription with all the features and I use it DAILY!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like is the limited formatting of the sheets. I prefer Excel sometimes because I can "design" my sheets to be more presentable. As a side designer, when I have to share a smartsheet to others, I do not get to present it as I would have liked because the interface is not meant to be designed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem I was facing is the lack of space to document our team's interactions with customers. I basically needed a customer relationship manager, outside of Salesforce. My company uses Salesforce to capture the general relationship with customers and not on a granular level as individual products. I use Smartsheet daily as a collaborative, dynamic CRM tool to record all history with our specific product.
Excellent Program Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet forms are my favorite part of Smartsheet. The ability to collect information into a sheet is so helpful. Automations and Dashboards are my 2nd favorite tools within Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not yet dislike anything about Smartsheet. It is a bit overwhelming in the beginning learning about all of the features and how to best use them. That said there are videos, articles, and smartsheet reps available to help teach and troubleshoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow approvals and efficient project managment. Organization of programs, projects, and tasks for our office. Automated communication is a huge benefit of utilizing smartsheet.
