Smartsheet has been an inflexion point within our legal department.
What do you like best about the product?
It allows to monitor the pending activities for each person of the department, storage know-how, and create graphics and KPI's to be presented to Directors and Managers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is that if the algorithm created to monitor activities is too complex (initial date, final date, archive, etc.) then if some input is not introduced in the correct order, then the activity is not correctly stored.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting to general manager / directors: sometimes, directors and general managers need visual and simple information of the work performed. Smartsheet allows to create graphics and kpi's directly from the sheet.
Control of workloads: Smarthseet allows managers to control the workloads of each of the collaborators, pending tasks, ongoing important projects, etc.
Storage of know-how: Know-how is sometimes lost within organizations. Smartheet allows to storage response emails with legal advice, documents, etc.

I think it is an really good program for businesses
What do you like best about the product?
I like the updates the best. you can recieve updates about all the new things. You can easily chat with collegues about new things or when something is wrong or right.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont really have something bad to write about smartsheet. i think its an excellent program for businesses like us.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have some problems with our company sometime when a supplier did something wrong but with the help of smartsheet we can easily access the tab about our suppliers en figure out what went wrong.
Review of Smartsheet after one week
What do you like best about the product?
The main thing that I have noticed to be the most useful aspect so far, are the custom filters that can be used with multiple fields. The fact that they can also be available for sharing with other users is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found that on some occassions it has not been possible to zoom out of a smartsheet document to fit more on to the screen without affecting things like the scoll bar. I like to be able to have more information shown on the screen, and not necessarily zoomed in all the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the different users all being able to collaborate and use the smartsheet together, and then being able to get alerts and a solid audit of the smartsheet sent directly to my emails.
The Ultimate Tool for Collaborative Working
What do you like best about the product?
There's so many things, but as an analyst, I very much appreciate the language being the same nomenclature as Excel. It makes it particularly easy to start using, but it also gives you enhanced functionality over Excel in that there are more ways to break down and analyse your data - for example, being able to reference parent/child rows in your formulas has been fantastic for our organisation when building our intake sheet for our new Control Centre solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sharing permissions at times can be frustrating, but there is always a workaround. We currently use control centre as a means of setting up core project documentation in our organisation, and as we share these documents externally with customers, we're realising that there are some vulnerabilities with Smartsheet when it comes to sharing files with the customer. You either have the option to share an entire workspace, or a specific sheet. You don't have the option to restrict sharing specifically to a folder, and I also don't think it's particularly clear to the user exactly what documents you'll be sharing when doing so. The sharing pane just isn't very telling.
The search function can be tricky to navigate too. It's not bad, but the quick search feature maybe giving us the file locations as well would be nice.
Also. a limitation of 20000 rows per sheet very much limits what I can do in terms of dashboarding. We don't fundamentally use Smartsheet for dashboarding, we use Tableau, but having the option to dashboard some larger data sets in Smartsheet would be nice without having the data tables addon.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we conduct our portfolio reviews, one of the things that we do is go through open actions assigned to individuals within the team. One thing that we find particularly useful when doing this is the fact that we can have a central RAID log, where we can assign actual users with their e-mail addresses who can receive notifications to provide updates via a workflow that we've built within the sheet. This removes a lot of our PMO admin overhead by ensuring that action owners are being reminded to follow up and provide an update/commentary to our action log. In addition to this, because it's a central action log, we're able to build reports on this log, which filter the actions down to the relevant review, and ensures we're only looking at relevant RAIDs for that specific meeting.
We also use Smartsheet for it's control centre solution, which is now being used to replace all of our core project documentation, so this is revolutionary for our business.
Finally, we gain a lot of use from the DynamicView functionality. When we have meetings with external customers, we want to make sure that our internal communications are kept private, and by utilising DynamicView, we're able to do this when sharing information with our customers. It also ensures that they're able to see actions for them to complete without seeing everything we're doing for all of our other customers at the same time.
Regarding my below answers, 7 for ease of use as it's very easy to use.
6 for meets requirements as the only issue I have is sharing permissions - if this could be fixed, this would be a 7 also.
N/A for the last 2 as I'm not overly involved with pricing - I've only been given details of costs for external consultancy which seemed OK, but as far as the actual solution costs go it's nothing really to do with me. Similarly, I've never had to use Smartsheet support before, hence the first option being a 7.

Excelling project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly enter start dates and time per task, and Smartsheets automatically updating the subsequent dates is a real time-saver. I also find the dual view of the task list and Gantt chart really useful, and the connections between tasks to highlight dependencies is a useful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think some work could be done to improve the % completion functionality as at present you need to add in the percentages to tasks yourself, which isn't the easiest thing to estimate. Another idea could be to add in a pre-selected drop-down so you can choose 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
There is also an inconsistency with the auto save feature, sometimes my work gets saved automatically, whereas other times it doesn't and alerts are only shown when you hit 10 minutes without saving.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is enabling me to create project plans that clearly demonstrate responsibility for the team members certain tasks are assigned to, as well as effectively and accurately map out project time plans that help us to set expectations with our clients.
A great tool to manage global projects across our business line
What do you like best about the product?
The restricted access and dashboard aggregation features. It is great that I have have PMs across the business update their workstream, without seeing other workstreams, and have all the inputs aggregated into a master dashboard for executives to review
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been some issues in our busniess with accessing smartsheets. Even though I invite them to edit pages, I may need to resend this 2-3 times before they have editing access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is a great tool to hold people accountable. We do our annual planning at the beginning of a year, and track quarterly progress using smartsheets to hold teams accountable to deliver tasks each quarter.

What do you like best about the product?
Great for tracking taks within a project plan. I especially like the feature of tagging users on different line items. Adiitionally the gantt chart feature works very well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could potentially do with an uplift. At times it feels a little legacy in its look and feel. Perhaps some modern icons or softer edges would enhance it.

It allows me to have a centralised place for my team to access the latest project management plan as well as actions that they have been tagged in. We also provide real time updates for the team to see.
Smartsheet solutions are simple & effective
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet form capability is the best feature. We can easily create forms, and the link can be provided online. This is the best way to collect first-hand information. The automated workflows depending on your requirements to generate approvals and send status updates, are unique.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, Smartsheets don't have dynamic filters. Also when a form is generated for an update as part of the workflow, we cannot make the fields mandatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have implemented Smartsheet for Incident reportings, Pricing Approvals etc, across various regions. We can obtain first-hand information from the users through forms. Respective teams can be notified as per the requirements. Smartsheet can also integrate with our internal tools, eliminating the manual effort of transferring critical data. The comment feature is very powerful in understanding the history of each transaction. It has improved our efficiency by around 40%, with more than 98% data accuracy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Microsoft's SharePoint might be just as useful, and because it's more popular might be a drawback for most people to move over to smartsheets.

Sharing information on one single sheet is a major plus and added to this is the fact that you can track when someone made changes to the sheet and when. It helps when having to report what was done when.
