Increased work productivity and Accuracy with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many features that are unique to Smartsheet. This is best data source for my work. I can pull out the information easily using primary the column. I can pull out the information from multiple sheets to one sheet. AI generated formula helps to create formula quickly.
I use Smartsheet all the time because I deals with a lot of student data. It is easy to use, create new reports and sheets for different tasks. I like that how it can be used with other software. I use Google Docs to create automated documents in Smartsheet.
Smartsheet Data Shuttle feature is beneficial for transferring data from Excel to Smartsheet. It helps to integrate data from multiple Excel sheets into one Smartsheet

What do you dislike about the product?
I really do not dislike anything about Smartsheet but I would like to improve the Dynamic View. I think dynamic view user should be able to edit multiple at one time. For example if someone have to approve a large number of entries. The approver should have the ability to select multiple entries and approve all with one click instead of clicking each row and approve.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration between team members became easier. It increased productivity, accuracy. Updating data everyday became very easy.
Powerful project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Our team of instructional designers uses Smartsheet to manage communication about work assignments as we build courses. We create customizable automated notifications that are triggered when new tasks are assigned or updates are needed to existing tasks. We create reports that combine multiple sheets and organize the data in different ways so that each designer can see all tasks they are responsible for across multiple projects. We also create dashboards that help project managers track the progress of multiple projects as well as monitor the workload of each designer.
Another great feature that helps us catalogue our favorite work to adapt and reuse is automation rules that copy Smartsheet rows to other sheets.

What do you dislike about the product?
I miss being able to group multiple tabs into one workbook as you can do with Excel and Google Sheets. I also wish it was possible to paste in a column of URLs or other hyperlinks; we have to use workarounds with automation rules when we need to pull in a list of URLs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Smartsheet, we had to keep track of many disconnected Google Sheets, and it was impossible to see the big picture of our work assignments. We had to spend a lot of time sending emails or comments to notify people about assignments, but now it all happens automatically. We can balance our work better and work together more efficiently to meet tight deadlines.

The flexible project management features, collaboration, and real-time updates help streamline workflows, improve team communication, and enhance project visibility. This increases productivity, ensuring accountability and enabling effective decision-making based on accurate and up-to-date information.

Smartsheet is most helpful in providing various project planning templates and form generation tied to the sheet.

I desire more drag and drop features where a sheet can be built from a standard template and more easily tailored to the specific needs.

Smartsheet solves challenges related to cross-functional project management in a matrixed organization where many stakeholders are involved and responsible, accountable and informed people.
Project Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link tasks to other team members and set reminders for those team members to complete the job by a certain deadline. Also, it is helpful to access any smart sheet online compared to Microsoft Project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any downsides at this time, everything works great for my team and I, it is super helpful for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has let us ensure project deadlines are met and quickly communicate the project task, phases, and deadlines to each team member involved in the project. It has also helped keep track of each project we use it for.
A great resource for keeping track of projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet gives the option to have a base template you can build projects off of, and allows for easy tracking of project tasks and ideas. It makes staying on track and on task simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there are many things I dislike - I do feel like there are intricacies to using it that make it a little difficult to learn out the gate if you don't have lots of experience with excel.

Smartsheet helps solve the problem of tracking projects and making sure they are on track. It benefits our team and organization by making sure we are making timely progress on projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you come from MS Project as an user, you may find some areas that are not as straightforward or as intuitive as you'd expect.
I miss some of the pre-defined columns that you could easily introduce to your plan, and also some the more advanced form of Resource Management, but this does not detract that much from an otherwise great tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration is the main problem that Smartsheet helps to solve. Being able to easily share not only plans, but also dashboards and other forms of reports definitely provides an alternative to the many other sheets and presentations that are usually thrown around in organizations.

Collect and Store Data w/ Easy to Use Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Its very easy to create workflows based on the data you collect. It's also easy to create forms that allow others to enter data while maintaing data intergrity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say dislike, I would say that Smartsheet could make it easier to do cross-sheet formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task assignment and management for small and large cross-function projects. Survey data collection and reporting. Dashboard creation and distribution for showing the progress of global initiaitves.
Easy to use, great for collaboration, love the automation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the SmartSheet automation and being able to assign users to asks and it notifies them. I also find it beneficial to set up automations to remind people when tasks are due.past due. It takes the burden off the project manager to follow up and I've heard good feedback from project participants on this feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more Excel-like features, namely with keyboard shortcuts. For example, it would be great to be able to use CTRL + d to copy the data from the cell above.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SmartSheet makes project management easier. I manage non-technical projects and find that this is way more accessible than competitors like Microsoft Project and much easier to use.

What do you like best about the product?
1. Smartsheet is super intuitive. If you have used any other project management tool in the past, adopting Smartsheet will be like a piece of cake.
2. Smartsheet has tonnes of customisation capabilities. From auto notifications to conditional formating of cells for easy identification, from filtering to setting access control, from calendar view to gantt view, you get everything with Smartsheet.
3. There are tonnes of integrations also available which makes getting updates without having to follow-up super easy and productive

What do you dislike about the product?
While personally, I have not encountered anything I dislike, if I were to say for the sake of saying -
- Need to have more single-key shortcuts as against 2 keys. eg. Indent with a tab instead of "Ctrl+]"
- Pricing seems to be on the higher side. We have an open project and other tools that are available for free (community edition) or cheaper
- I would love to see OKR tracking capabilities built into smartsheet out of the box
