A lot of functionality in a small package
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Smartsheet is the shareability of the cloud platform and the interoperability of my datasets. My dashboards, charts, forms and general management sheets all share data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it's a cloud platform, I lose access when offline. Not that this is a problem in a general sense, but a few times, we have lost access to the data due to external network issues beyond our control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designing my workflows with logical notifications is a huge time saver. Time saved from directly managing the workflows is time better spent on the project instead of the administration.
Never used Excel again
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly! Easy to use. Much better than Excel. Love how I can start working on a document and share it with the team, and they can pick up right where I left off.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that it is a free application. Other than that I like everything about the application. I do wish more people knew about it so they can also download the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to be a better project manager. It is allowing me to collaborate better with my team. It allows for everyone on the team to have a voice and understand exactly where we are.

It is very powerful, and if you have the time you can make it do a lot of what you would like it to do. It is great to have many of the tools that you need for projects at your fingertips

It can be very confusing to work with at times. You need to dedicate a lot of time to use the higher functions. And sometimes it acts weird and makes views hard on reports
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
allows us to make big reports that can share out through the organization. We can make project trackers for individual projects and keep them up to date, and with dynamic view I can give the customer a view of the project status in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how it can do things for us automatically. It has tools that eliminate repetitive tasks, allowing us to be more productive. We can also design workflows to meet our specific requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does a good job with reporting, but it could have more ways to show data. Having different kinds of charts and ways to see data would make it even better.

Smartsheet has solved our project management challenges by providing a centralized platform for planning, tracking, and collaboration. It has eliminated the need for multiple spreadsheets and email threads, ensuring all team members have access to real-time project data.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes handling big projects a lot simpler. It has an easy-to-understand interface with strong tools for managing projects. These tools help us to follow and coordinate tasks easily. Our teams can work together better because of its collaboration features, leading to much higher productivity.

The way Smartsheet prices its product could be more adaptable. The software has lots of features, but the cost can be high for smaller companies or new businesses, which might stop them from using some of its useful tools.

Smartsheet is helping us deal with problems in our workflow. It gives us a single platform for managing tasks, enabling us to see our work, find issues, and improve processes. This has resulted in our operations being more efficient.
Efficient and easy way to manage projects and work product
What do you like best about the product?
The easy to use interface, integrations, sharing and collaboration features. Smartsheet makes managing work projects much easier for individual items to large group work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some missing features that work well in excel but are missing from Smartsheet, such as more complex formulas and data manipulation. Also would benefit from better integrated charts for dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps our organisation manage large scale projects. Projects which run on an annual basis, require input from various departments on a daily and weekly basis. The automation makes life much simpler and helps to keep to deadlines.
It served as an excellent timeline planner and Gantt chart overview for the project.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To help me in preparing a detail timeline and assign to the respective person to contribute their job task as well. It have took me 2 hour to plot out a timeline which have more than 100 task.

I spend significantly less time managing the system and more time focussing on the project.

Smartsheets do not support some complex scheduling, such as resource contouring.
Currently, no (known) ways exist to assign resource costs back to specific tasks; costs are consolidated at the project level.

The best way to automate processes and reduce errors
What do you like best about the product?
It is an efficient platform in everything it proposes: process automation with a bit of programming, dashboards that update in real-time, great sheet management, etc. This set of features makes Smartsheet an excellent program to work with others without worrying about collaboration systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet takes a lot of time ot set up at first. It is because there are a lot of steps to follow, apart from the fact that it needs a clear guide to follow. However, everything is simpler once the setup is complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best way to use this software is through its automation. It benefits us because we use it to automate much of the finances for various projects. It reduces the time I spend on these types of tasks. I also frequently generate reports to present to my superiors, who are the ones who approve new budget proposals.
Used for compliance management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows for document management and collaboration that are ideal for ISO compliance. The simple to use interface facilitates collaboration amongst team members, and the attachment functionality facilitates audits of documents, records, and artifacts within ISO management systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that backups are housed within Smartsheet. If Smartsheet is unavailable, the backups are unavailable. Additionally, backups are not in a fully restorable format. Restoring from backups still requires a large amount of rework as links, formulas, versions, and other associations are stripped.

Smartsheet offers an internal and external collaboration tool that allows for the quick sharing of information during audits. Facilitating both the audit and certification process.
