Workspaces and Access Permissions!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily create project workspaces with varying access permissions to folder structure, the ability to attach documentation to project plans and the workflow automation and ease of capturing status updates directly through an email interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen a few drawbacks compared to the more traditional tools, such as MS Project or Excel. One of the most significant drawbacks is the limitation of adding tabs to a workbook or sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to manage complex programs with multiple workstreams, organizations and stakeholders. Having the ability to create a workspace with varying access permissions is great. Smartsheet will enable me to manage workflow and project progression from a central location while providing access and visibility to the right audience. The automated workflows are also a great time saver, primarily since users can quickly provide updates directly through email.
Smartsheet is pretty nice for organizing!
What do you like best about the product?
I like to to organize daily tasks and todo lists. It is good for having projects and having multiple people able to report on their progress and to assign due dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is a little slow to load on older machine and it can be difficult to use on mobile, but i don't really use it on mobile very much so this is not a huge issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many people working on the same project who are not technical and we don't want them to have to use a project management tool and learn a bunch of new terminology.
Great Product, But Needs Some Updates
What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality of SmartSheet. The way it helps me keep track of project milestones and team collaboration is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot have the parent line in a task be included in the email update request which is frustrating and means you always have to go back to the sheet and line to see what the task is associated with. I and other users have reported this issue to SmartSheet, but they have over and over again declined to take on the work to make this possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving having to track dates in excel or Outlook
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me about using Smartsheet is the ability to share to email addresses of any domain and the ability to work simultaneously on the same sheet with colleagues without issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more cell fill colour options as we use this feature alot.
I would also like to have the ability to copy a selection of cells from Excel into Smartsheet without having to import the entire sheet.

Primarily our group uses Smartsheet to manage the incoming shipments of our two companies. This has led to greater efficiency and ability for collaboration in our organisation.

Good Software and User Friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a 50 ft view of all your projects without getting int the weed of the tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to assign tasks to personell individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps us be able to hit our target dates and see when there is availability to squeeze something into the shop.
A fantastic tool for collaborating and unifying data.
What do you like best about the product?
I find it really beneficial that you can link smartsheets so that a date updated in one location can be pulled through to another. I also make use of the reports function extensively, this enables me to cherry pick the data I need to see regularly in a format that makes sense for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the formatting within smartsheet a little clunky and I do find that if I need to export data from a table in Smartsheet it doesn't always come through as cleanly as I would hope. It would be great to be able to only expart parts of the sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
smartsheet facilitates sharing of schedules with live dates as well as providing a work tracking space/calendar to avoid over committing certain team members. Having the option to use forms to submit data helps to keep all the entries unified!
Best Project Management Tool EVER
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet has allowed me to bring an entire organization together. I am a project manager, and I track every project we work on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I do not get frequent tips and tricks from Smartsheet. I think it would be helpful to receive information on items specific to project management through target marketing from SS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business was truly not managing projects effectively before SMartsheet. We did not know who was working o what. Now, we have visibility and priority management.
Excellent Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to share sheets internally and externally without high license costs. I also enjoy the Data Shuttle functionality. Data Shuttle is still a little limited seeing that it is not a full API integration option but with a bit of work, I was able to automate the necessary data for our Sales Dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The row limitations per sheet make it difficult to fully automate a large amount of data throughout the year. Recovery options are also limited so if you accidentally mess up the sheet formatting, it can lead to a large amount of work to fix the sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and collaboration within our Corporation. At times we also utilize the sharing features with external vendors and customers during product development and order processing.
