Using Smartsheet for Project Coordination
What do you like best about the product?
At first, I thought it was a bit hard to learn smartsheet, coming from Excel.
After getting to know the tricks and formulas for Smartsheet ( and seeing how easy is to share the documents and files with others ) I couldn't get my hands off of it.

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the prices are a liitle to high for the Pro versions and above.
Another thing that I don't like is the fact that is freezes quite often.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All my organisational problems and also all my needs for sharing documents with others.
Awesome collaboration and project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is like Excel, but smarter. The integrated views (Gantt, Calendar, Card) that are driven by information in the Grid (sheet) view make using SmartSheet for a wide variety of tasks super easy. It is an incredible tool for collaboration, with the ability to integrate conversations on tasks and upload files natively within the application. The conditional formatting is simplified and you can easily create parent/child relationships, roll up task detail, and so much more. The dashboards and reports are sleek and you have a ton of flexibility with how you can customize them. Even with no programming experience you can build and create user-friendly, dynamic forms, as well as set up fairly complex workflows. It's an incredible tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price point is high especially for smaller organizations. Hard to get traction on feature requests unless you pay them over $25k a year. Also they limit the ability to create sheets to licensed users (read: additional fee on top of business fee) only, which seems like the most basic feature to make available to everyone. More advanced features have additional cost as well which can prevent smaller organizations from being able to take advantage of some of it's most useful features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with clients outside of our organization is simple. It helps us communicate project updates and work on plans together with ease. Additional characters.
Nothing beats Smartsheet when it comes to large scale project management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is really good because it can do so many things. It helps teams work together on projects and keep track of their work. It's easy to plan, track, and report with all the features it has.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Smartsheet can be overwhelming due to its wide array of features. The sheer amount of functionality can be complex to navigate for newcomers, leading to initial efficiency loss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great at showing updates and progress in real time. Seeing this helps us be responsible and makes sure we're on the right path to reach our goals.
Great for Project Management & Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet can gather information (in the way of a Smartsheet form) and then use this information in reporting, by creating a dashboard, which are very easy to share/present and automatically update.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently no option to create a form that auto calculates (like an order form, which would calculate the order total, or a quiz where it will autopopulate the result, or number of questions correct).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is creating a platform where all users from within the company can have tasks assigned to them, creating more accountability (can even use email reminders if needed).
Very good system - But I wouldn't purchase for my needs
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has always been a very easy to use and useful tool. I mainly used it on projects and systems I was involved in, this meant that someone else had set up the sheets and had paid for the subscription. And generally it was a very useful and adaptable tool, being easy to fill in from both your laptop and your phone and instantly saving and updating for all those using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wanted to use Smartsheet for our business to lay out project after seeing their Gantt Chart tool. The problem that I have had with smartsheet since signing up for a subscription myself is that it was £60 and then turned out that no one else could edit without paying for a better subscription or they all had their own paid version. This made the tool useless and it wasn't worth it for us to upgrade. Then it has been very hard to get hold of the team to request a cancellation of our subscription, and the only option I could find online was to upgrade it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet was allowing us to keep a central place that everyone could access, all information and documents could be uploaded with a massive variety in the set-up of the document to suit the particular requirements. Being able to create all sorts of charts and sheets and have everyone comment on sections or upload linking documents.
Intuitive, User-Friendly Software
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite parts of Smartsheet are the autmations, linking cells from different sheets, and the reporting. Smartsheet makes it easy to track our project timelines and keep other team's tasks in line with their reports and dashboards. We love having snapshots automatically sent out via email to leadership, and as we have convinced more of our organization to make the switch it has been really helpful to be able to link out from one source of truth to various other sheets so we know we've always got the most up-to-date data. In addition, their customer service is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some opportunities I see for Smartsheet are expansions not yet developed or rolled out - we'd love to be able to send automations to MS Teams chats instead of emails and to be able to manipulate the sheet data from the dashboard view. In addition, it would be great to have an all-in-one pricing structure for Smartsheet similar to Monday vs needing to purchase ala carte.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smarthsheet plays an integral part in our Product Development process. We use it to track tasks and milestones between 8 teams and 20+ people for each project.
User friendly and efficient!
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to store documents, link items, and house conversations within SS. I love being able to tailor reports to suit my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is the excel that never was! The system is easy to learn, no complaints. Excited to participate in Engage this year to learn even more.

Keeping me organized, on track, and connected to individuals I work with.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about smartsheet is the quality of the folders and the fact that i can organize my projects more easly and also keep track of the billing .

Sometimes i hate that it freezes and I have to wait a long time before it gets fixed .

Ability to share data seemlessly internal to my organization as well as external to others without compromising company data
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be steep. Setting a sheet up the wrong way to start can lead you to have major issues down the road in keeping things up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can keep track of multiple projects at once, Every project lead can see their specific project if I create a report for them. This makes it easier for them to drill down to just what they need.

Since I joined the company, I really liked using smartsheet.

I think the plans for smartsheet ar kind of expensive as you look forward to grow.
