The most efficient tools to use for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using smartsheet to track all my projects and also to give access to the sheets to my co-workers so we can manage the projects better.
It is easy to use, once you get used to the different formuls, it gets easier.

I tried to use the desktop app but it doesn't work as intended.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the problem that I've had was sharing documents with the customer.
Now with smartsheet, that problem was solved and everything is working perfectly.

Ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly. For someone that has no experience with it, it doesn't take a long time to get used to and become fluent with a lot of the functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it didn't ask me to log in every time I open the browser. I would also like an option where I could see it on my iPhone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a tool where the team can have access and see the projects scheduled and timelines associated with it. We also use it as an inventory tool; it has helped us a lot avoiding shortages of key items we have to have in stock at all times. It's capability of letting you know when you are low on inventory is great.
Great tool for managing requests and project management
What do you like best about the product?
Its ability to easily create a form and link it to a table. Also creating reports and linking table data is pretty easy to do. For complex implementation the fact that it has a well documented API is great, I managed to create an tool to link data from an internal server to a sheet without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting to a database is not as simple as in onther softwares. It required me developing a tool to do it, which the average user might not be able to do. Also logic on forms is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Created a sheet and form to easily receive and manage software improvement requests and implemented automation to update status and send email notifications to users.
Perfect for task management within a small team but with limited Gant capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The use of filters in order to limit the information presented to the each independant user of the smartsheet, allowing to have a single file for a whole team and not worry about over saturating the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every now and then formulas between cells of distant sheets break or change links, either being a simple formula or calling the value, it tends to have issues once you start repeating that formula by copy pasting it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The project managment tools for teams completing their objectives are more than useful and easily understandable when I want to create a report regarding our activities. With a click of a button i can change our spreadsheet into an easy to understand graphical view in order to explain to someone how the project is going and what activities are left, very useful in general for reports.
So easy to update
What do you like best about the product?
It's the easiest project planning software I've used for amending and updating when things change. It's quick and simple to drop back into.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very beautiful. Some colleagues claim they find it too difficult to read or use, and I wonder if this is due to the quite technical design.

Helping us to keep on track with resource, workloads and deadlines.
Automation for the Win
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the automation when you load the excel it just flows in!

I wish that when your link breaks in portals it would alert me.

Having all vendor data in one place makes it easy for billing and coordinating who sees the candidates scores

The project planning tools are very useful. I like that I can share a plan with someone who does not have an account.
I use Smartsheet for work because it's a secure way to share information/data within the company.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect is the ability to tailor the permissions and access for each person. I maintain a detailed database and I need to be sure people aren't messing with my things. But, I also need some people to update certain cells and other people to be able to view it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could just be using it wrong, but it bothers me that I can't add multiple rows at a time. I also haven't been able to find a copy format like Excel has. I also wish you could have multiple worksheets for each workbook like in Excel.

Having a shared space that everyone can come to and keep their documents ever-green. We can't use google sheets because it's not secure enough. It's also nice that you can set up auto emails to go out when things are changed.

1. Cost: Some users may find SmartSheet relatively expensive, especially when compared to free or lower-priced alternatives.

Good experience but the training can be more intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
It is similar to excelsheet and relatively intuitive to learn. The dashboard could be useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
the training video sometimes doesnt respond to the clicks and is slow to respond. No way to fast track the learning. The training is really long.
The license/user access part is a bit confusing to explain to stakeholders.
