Perfectly built to satisfy specific needs
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can automate standardized emails that get sent out at regular intervals. With some set up and just a little bit of data entry I can have hundreds of emails sent right when I need them to go out and right to the person I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is figuring out how to work within the restrictions/walls that Smartsheet has. Granted, I am usually trying to force a square into a circle here, but it can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing information, automating emails and reminders, hosting surveys, storing data and documents, and facilitating review and approval steps that are crucial to the process
Smartsheet is an excellent collaboration & visualization tool but has functionality limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Centralized platform with multiple capabilities (dashboard, surveys, data calculations; excellent visualization tool with ability to share with non licensed users; easy to use and understand with many help/learning tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has limited capabilities compared to other data analytic and visualization platforms; it is restricted by a maximum number of cells and references making its data capabilities less competitive. Dashboard visualizations also have limits (i.e. unable to edit certain aspects of widgets)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides a collaborative experience which allows my team to share data insights with a variety of users. It also helps to track task assignment and progress.

Built In Gantt chart functions w/ critical path. Easy sharing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's expensive.
I wish "% complete" would default to 0%, it makes subtasks act weird if you don't put in 0%.

What do you like best about the product?
I like a lot of the templates they have helped me to spend less time creating a spreadsheet layout. I like that I can upload files into the Smartsheet. I like that I can export data to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like when I create a Smartsheet I can't change the title in the first columnn. Smartsheet would benefit from a Power Query feature for heavy data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to communicate and share information with my colleagues and staff. I use Smartsheet based on what I am working on and what is more practical for what I am trying to accompish.
Works well for portfolio management
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting capabilities are very robust if you are able to create a comprehensive sheet with decent data. When you create dashboards and link the reports to the dashboard you're getting live feeds of your information. The learning curve is also fairly low, especially if you're familiar with Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are cell limits in the sheets which can be annoying if you're trying to keep a large data set in one file and report on that one file. I also wish there was a better accounting feature. If you want to manage an entire portfolio, including finances, there is definitely room for improvement here.

We are able to house all of our project information in one sheet that everyone has visibility to. We can also create individual workspaces for each of our projects which helps organize things

Smartsheet allows me to organize data in many different ways to project to other team members.

Smartsheet can be difficult to use in the beginning but with time and practice it will become a very useful tool

Smartsheet allows me to show all team members the movements of our products to customers. It allows a universale spot for all components to work together

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many ways to use Smartsheet and make it work for your needs. It is easy to change, update and create new tools that quickly become apart of a daily routine. On top of this, it is also easy to learn new tips and tricks with their learning center and further expand your knowledge of not only Smartsheet, but problem solving.
What do you dislike about the product?
When there are multiple users in a sheet, there are some connectivity issues when saving. It's not a true issue in my opinion, but you can't get too deep in your work without saving a few times throughout in order to not interfere and keep up with the other user(s) in your sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us communicate work progress within our organization autmatically. We use the automation features in multiple aspects of our business to request approvals and notify users along the way.
Good project management capability, low data analytics for big data.
What do you like best about the product?
Project management. The tool is used for this purpose in our organization and helps us to monitor and manage our project accordingly. Its ability to work with google workspace is also really good
What do you dislike about the product?
lacks some data analytics capability or is too clunky when creating reports. The visuals created in the report are also not as visually appealing and do not have a lot of creative freedom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage a lot of projects and the functions made available in Smartsheet make it easy for us to track and manage these projects well. Combined with the connections it has to the Google Workspace we use is a big plus as well.

Its easy to operate and very user freindly . You can track all your progress in single sheet like timeline, costing etc. It has all the features like gant chart.

Some users who do not have experience using spreadsheets and excel may find the interface complex and difficult to understand initially. However with use its very user freidly.

Its provides an intuitive and flexible project management environment, allowing Data Analysts to efficiently plan, track monitor and collaborate on complex projects

Its simplicity and easy to use feature. It connects each and every action very beautifully and makes tracking easy for the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
can be more improved by giving facilities like graphs etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making tracking easy for the project. User can just put a milestone and further actions required to achieve those milestones. Delays can be easily identified and communicated to the stakeholders.
