What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has come in handy over and over again from collecting data from a large group, to organizing to-do lists and creating surveys. The forms are easy to set up, edit and share.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smart she does try to set you up for success in terms of automation. They have a good amount of tutorials and help information, but I still find it a bit confusing, and I haven't put in enough time to really nail down the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before smart sheet, every person had to email me directly with the information requested. Now it's all stored in one place saving me all sorts of time and work.
Intro to SmartSheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been easy to pick up and for the most part very intuitive. I like that I can view cell history and it doesn't expire, this has been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
when formulas fail, causing "block" or "unparseable" to appear, it would be helpful to have the sheet highlight where the break is. On large sheets it is very hard to find the break sometimes. Also, it would be helpful if big sheets ran faster. Some of them are so slow it is almost impossible to make edits. Not being able to unhide a single column at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking work, collaborating, file control and forwarding.

A step up from similar software that I've used...
What do you like best about the product?
Our company is almost exclusively using the scheduling funtionality. In just a few months we have made all of our job schedules more and more robust and useful. We've figured out new features, and have been able to link schedules to one another, which is really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if the scheduling software could be 'interactive' in the sense that when mulitiple people are viewing or working on the same schedule that it updates in real time and you can see who is editing... similar to google sheets or docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our job schedules are complex and we run multiple jobs that relate to one another. This has been a great resource to view all of these schedules in one place.
Smartsheet is a fantastic tool for our small association.

What do you dislike about the product?
- i find ther are limited formatting options in smartsheet with certian projects
- when I upload excel files into smartsheet sometimes it does not format appropriatly
- i think that smartsheet univeristy is essential to take full advnatge of all the capabilities and it can be time consuming

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving so many timing issues we have when it comes to recieving work from employees in a tmely manner. Addiitonally, we have forgone a lot of online forms and switch for smartsheet forms when collecting info internally and externally from customers. It has made us much more efficient in our use of time.
Powefull tool
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can create forms that help you feed information on the spreadsheet is really helpful, makes user friendly a lot of the process that we have to work on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation sometimes is hard to undestand, nevertheless once you get it, is really cool all the things that you can trigger, and how you can combine a los of information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help track changes done, thru feeding information in forms created, triggering automations to get information to feed to other plataforms, short description...time saver.
Smartsheet has helped our organization become more strategic
What do you like best about the product?
The use of forms in Smartsheet has helped us to significantly reduce complexity when people interact with the tool, as well as the automation feature. I love that I can easily create an update request, which sends a clean, straightforward message for other users to provide input. Smartsheet seems to also be the only tool that allows several sheets to interact, making strategy and reporting much more efficient, effective, and cohesive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't prefer Smartsheet's filter button, I think it's overly complex when it doesn't have to be (I much prefer Excel's), and I wish they had something similar to tabs in a single sheet. I would also love an option to easily report data in a sheet that looks similar to requesting an update - something simple and straightforward that only captures specific cells (maybe this exists already).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cohesive reporting and tracking system across several strategies/teams in a global organization. It's allowing us to connect our work and us the overlap more clearly.
Smartsheet is the tool for small business to grow
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best tools that I like about smartsheet, is the report creator. It is an easy way of displaying resumed information linked to other sheets, without altering the original information.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using certain functions, you need an administrator account. I think certain changes could be made to allow more permits to user accounts. With this, it can support the grow of small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Small business have problems dealing with data when exponential grow kicks in. So, a planning app is needed to hold all that information. Smartsheet is solving all of this perfectly.
Asset Management with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable it is to any company, project or role. It provides our remote team with clear visibility across the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the % complete formula worked better, and the tech support was avaliable in real time.

Providing our remote team with visibility on all projects in all departments.
Well designed for it's purpose
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to edit and collaborate. You can make drop down options and have conditional formatting. The forms being used to populate a sheet is also nice. It's like excel, but more streamlined for it's purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've tried doing some automation in which I could add something or edit something in one sheet and have it update a linked sheet. Either it wasn't possible or I couldn't figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's letting us keep track of experiment status, consolidate data, and plan out our experiments. We use drop down menus with conditional formatting to quickly change/check the status of experiments.
Google Docs + Excel = Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the communication aspect. Each line has a note section where I can tag my team or collaborators of changes to easily see and keep everyone up to speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every program has it's ups and downs, but for me there aren't any strong dislikes that have pushed me away from the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving our communication and information barriers. We work with subject matter experts constantly through a project, and they have the freedom to update content and tag us in the exact line item. Our team works in several phases for the project development, and seeing the progression and detailed notes from the previous phase helps us all move forward.
