Smartsheet for Project Management and reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is fairly easy to use, especially if you are familiar with excel. The ability to add information and share out is great. I have worked with other systems like MavinLink and this works better for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations in Smartsheet, so be sure to consult with your rep on exactly what you need first, so that you are not surprised later. There are 3 packages you can purchase. Not everyone fits easily into those packages. Making the package fit the client might be an option to consider.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to track projects and share out the status with my company makes it easy to do in Smartsheet. Creating a dashboard with bullet-pointed tasks and issues keeps everyone from having to read thru several lines of updated infor.

What do you like best about the product?
It's an amazing product for running workflows, and it is easily customizable for each specific item we're producing. I'm also a huge fan of the reports and automations. I manage a lot of production schedules, and it makes it really easy for me to keep track of everything. Having 30+ production schedules running at once is no small task!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love how hard it is to add new sheets to reports. It always takes me a ton of time to go through and update every individual report. I wish there was a way to add a sheet to multiple reports at once. Cell linking between sheets also takes a ton of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reports save my life. I have a ton of SmartSheet schedules to monitor, and my overdue task report makes it easy to track down who needs to be reminded to finish their tasks.
Powerful, accessible tool with a wide range of applications
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of combining inheretly straightforward workflows with excel-style functions makes for a powerful combo to automate processes with easy ways to generate reports and dashboards from your source sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd appreciate removing terminal commands in workflows, so that I can generate a document and immediately have it move to the next step without putting an intermediary/helper column. I'd also like to see the ability to name ranges as dropdown data validation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're now having all consultants, vendors, and country partners submit their invoices through a Smarthsheet form with built in workflows indexing a reference table for approval chains. Other sheets use a form for country partners to apply for professional development funds which automatically sends a generated two-pager to the reviewers. We also use sheets for international partner meeting invitee/participant lists where we can easily generate Travel Expense Reimbursements and route for approval all the way through processing directly in the sheet.
Incredibly helpful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allows me to organize my work, share it with my teammates, and keep the information organized. I also like the feature where changes made can trigger an email to be sent out
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a little bit of a learning curve. For example, I thought that by putting teammates emails in one of the columns and assigning something to them that it would trigger an email automatically, but I forgot that I need to initiate that step first, so small things like that, that may not be obvious to a new user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team has to travel to various events. We need SS to keep track of event locations, dates, registration fees, materials that need to be ordered, then we need to keep track of travel budget, hotels booked, flights booked, etc. Then we need to keep track of who is going to which event. Finally, we can upload pictures/ important documents with the attach button for each row. SS keeps all of that information organized and accessible where it would have been chaotic otherwise

What do you like best about the product?
It is very flexible and can serve a variety of needs for our business. End users are finding creative ways to collect data and plug it in with various reporting tools such as PowerBI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting to external data sources and using that data within a sheet can be difficult. As a result we have end users creating 'applications' that duplicate some of the other systems that we use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of our construction projects are using smartsheets to build short term schedules. In addition we have some departments that are using this to collect key metrics.
Great tool for basic project management, workflows and multiple teams with active projects.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use, and has helpful tutorials as well as templates. It allows privacy on sheets with form submissions, sheet and cell linkage, and automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to have several tabs on a single sheet can sometimes be cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to track all tasks on a project, as well as their owners, start and end dates, contingencies or dependencies, and automate alerts to users that need to be notified of changes or due actions.

What do you like best about the product?
It is highly recommended for any size organization that can be tailored according to the needs. It helps me communicate and share data with my teams and track the assigned project progress with detailed insights. I like the ease of the approval process and reviewing the project with great action tools. Realtime action tracking and seamless communication help in improving efficiency in teamwork and enhance overall productivity
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it lags due to low internet connectivity but overall It performs fantastic. Smartsheet helps us a lot with internal and external project tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides great transparency while collaborating in real time and tracking multiple tasks on a single dashboard. The automation workflow keeps improving our team's performance and saves time on repetitive tasks.
You wouldn't imagine how much can you do
What do you like best about the product?
The features this tool offers are incredible, so far as I can tell, I have only seen the tip of the iceberg on what I have been able to create by myself, really impressed with it since I started using it a couple of years ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I dont have anything bad to say, I can only complain, I have not had the time to learn more about how to take more advantage of the tool and all the resources that offers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had to do cross check on many documents and now because of automation capabilities, the fact that allows to link multiple sheets, saves a bunch of time autofilling some documents for me, this is amazing!
Great activity tracker
What do you like best about the product?
Is great that you have a conversation tool embeded on the same row that you are working on, always easy to clarify any issue ore misunderstanding by another member of your team, without the need to rely in other ways of communication, everything on the same spot
What do you dislike about the product?
at this point I couldnt say there is someting to dislike about the tool, so far every encounter that I hav e had with it it has been usufull, there is always a new function to discover

Have everything on the same space, easy to track evidence, provide direction and send reminders to my team members when some action requieres atention with in the same row is awesome, love it
Well-suited tool for its intended purposes
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's user-friendly design and intuitive interface make it accessible to both beginners and experienced users. Navigating through the various features, creating sheets, and managing data is straightforward, which saves time and enhances productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its relativaly expensive for a small organisation. However, the possibility of having free users is a bonus.

Thanks to Smartsheet, I successfully established a Project Portfolio within our organization, developed an efficient task management system for multiple teams, and created a streamlined workflow to handle our contractors. Moreover, the platform enables me to set up insightful dashboards for our management team, providing a comprehensive overview of our projects and processes.
