Changing the game for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Along all my years working in the industry I had problems to help my team track our projects without the need of one person being in charge of all the records, the main feature that we use in smartsheet is to be able to work live with my coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you do a change in a cell and need the result you are not able to get it inmediatly before refreshing the page, which gets a little annoying since it feels like it could be donde instantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All my coworkers are able to edit their progress of their job by themselves, without the need of a person in charge to do so, this increased our perfomance because everyone is responsable for their own records.

The capacity to organice each one of our projects with deadlines , attachments next to it without having to do too many clicks and keeps record of numbers in the last

To me is a excel that has access to attachments, alerts and reminders all in one sheet

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's capabilities to organize data and information is superior due to the customization, visualization, and collaboration options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Smartsheet can be a bit difficult to learn (i.e shortcuts, formulas, etc.) at first. Once you get into regularly thought, it does get a bit easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped our team(s) across our business solve for the need for a uniform platform to hold and organize data such as calendars, workflows, projects, and more. This is especially beneficial because while the teams that currently utilize Smartsheet are all managing different projects and have different workflows, we are all able to share templates easily and leverage each other's Smartsheets as needed while modifying them to our unique needs.
Smartsheet is a powerful reporting tool!
What do you like best about the product?
A typical corporate job needs you to manipulate a lot of sheets and graphs, where you need to show a lot of information. Sometimes you need to make reports out of it, but it takes a lot of time. With smartsheet, you can do it quicker and with less effort!
What do you dislike about the product?
When you make very complex reports, you could get lost in all the formulas, because it has a very specific syntax. Also, when using the API, there is not a lot of content available related to first-use or courses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When you need to make KPI's or big data reports, smartsheet is helping me doing them on time, without affecting the main goals and deadlines. Simply an awesome platform!
Improve your team's collaboration with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to collaborate asynchronously with your team and show the latest and greatest on each project task with appropriate owners. It keeps us all very organized!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the formulas and automated workflows take some background knowledge to incorporate and the workflowsd can break easily with no known reason why, or at least to the average user you wouldn't know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to keep track of all the different workstreams that are coming together to a finalized project work product. Dashboards really help to summarize work for executive/C-suite level folks so that they can see where we are experiencing the greatest bottleneck.
Overall the experience is average. There is a need for creating a visual timeline

Most features are intuitive. I most frequently download / export data to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not great options for turning the data into something that is useful for the client, as a visual tool.

Live project tracking that requires multiple resource collaboration.
Great flexible project management tool for seasoned or new managers
What do you like best about the product?
The best qualities of Smartsheet are the flexibility and rapidness of build. It's basically an open platform, and you're not locked into a particular set of templates or particular methodology. That being said, you need to have a vision for how you want to use the tools, otherwise you can end up over-building. Smartsheet provides many templates that are useful- but for seasoned managers, it is simple enough to import templates you have already created/collected over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main weakness for my use cases in Smartsheet is the way that security is managed. In one word, security is very "simplistic." For many, this may be adequate- and for basic users, gets the job done and may even prevent basic security issues from happening. For advanced users- there's no field level security, or even folder level security. You either grant access by entire workspace, or by individual sheet, with no inbetween. You can do a little better using Smartsheet Apps- but it requires an additional layer of management/development to do it this way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm probably the biggest Smartsheet user in my department at BDO (management advisory consulting)... we have used Smartsheet at many clients for project management, project portfolio management, issue management workflows, testing management, and many other functions. We often go into clients that don't have well established or well running administrative organizations, such as PMOs, and therefore also don't have a standardized toolset to do many of these tasks. Smartsheet allows us to rapidly deploy interim or permanent solutions at clients. There are many client obstacles instantly overcome by the nature of Smartsheet licensing and ease of use. Since licensing is based on sheet owners, as we consult with clients to deploy functionality, we can build within our own Smartsheet space with no costs to clients or having to overcome any other administrative hurdles. Also since the "Excel type" interface of a basic sheet is familiar to most office workers, it is very easy to get users to adopt with minimal training.
New to SmartSheet: Allows for Easy Team Management
What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet consistently lets me create dashboards that allow me to manage all my projects and share them with coworkers without having to deal with excel files that can get outdated easily

Gaining access and having to enable access for certain users that you share the SmartSheet file with
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in a team of 20 people all coordinating to install new material handling equipment in a Distribution Center. Helps keep all the work documents organized and accountability for all team members
Smart Sheet really does help you stay ahead of the game......
What do you like best about the product?
It can be used to meet different needs. In one waterfall project we are using it as a standard Project Management Planning and Scheduling tool. In a different agile project we use it to ensure all tasks are completed in each sprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using it as a tracker where you add commment week after week in the same cell can be challenging. Also sometimes the intenting functionality can make deleting rows challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working with a partner 3rd party professional services provider on a complicated project. There are a lot of people involved that have to do their part in the proper order to be able to complete a sprint. We are all sharing the smart sheet and it is our one source of truth for this project. Everyone has created a report to see the prceeding task status so they know when to do their steps for each location. collaborating across companies like this has cut out almost 100 emails a day for this project. Plus all information is real time. This is great!

What do you like best about the product?
Smart sheets allows me to communicate important and essential information to my accosciates and coworkers in a smooth user firnedly interface, excel is trash compared to smartsheets!!!!

There is nothing that i dislike about smartsheets, they have everything completely nailed down to an exact sceience, i dont see anyway possible it can be better

Smartsheets helps me keep my projects in line and helps keep things organized in an extreamly great fashion, im more productive due to the user friendly interface that smartsheets offers
