Effective for Product Management/Operations
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a very effective and efficient way to organize and track tasks/items across multiple teams and multiple products/projects. It is a great project management and operational tool for our team to stay on top of everything we need to all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
When updating a large amount of items/tasks in a smartsheet for multiple users, it can generate a lot of notifications for the users. Finding a way to reduce notifications, or organize them in fewer emails would be ideal!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is providing an effective and efficient way for our team to organize operations, project management tasks, and workflows. When we are working with multiple teams and stakeholders, it is very helpful to have one place where everyone can stay up to date with our next steps, priorities, and operations.
Workflow automation made my repetitive tasks less boring.
What do you like best about the product?
What I find most helpful were flexible workflow automation, reminders and approval request features. The cell linking function has proved to be of great value, letting us consolidate datas from many sheets into a centralized dashboard. That is definitly a strong point for data managemet and accessibility. Also, the Gantt charts functionality has rendered substantial help in tracking our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet have been a tad less performant while dealing with big datasets. Also, they didn't provide any tutorials how to handle more complex macros or integrate third-party solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in tackling data management, task and project orchestration, providing a boost to our productivity. It's a boon to have datas all in one spot and the ability to picture it with lively charts and dashboards has enhanced our decision-making remarkably. Furthermore, it has helped save time and cut down inefficiencies by automating repetitive tasks.
With limited time, I've made it work well
What do you like best about the product?
I haven't found a ton of time to explore the many training resources and features of SmartSheets, but without much effort on my part, I've made it work quite well to use for basic project management with my small communications department. I use some conditional formatting that's helpful to quickly identify priority projects. I use some basic automations, which were super easy to implement, that notify members when they are assigned a project and when a deadline is approaching, and it works quite well for this.
There are MANY many training resources and I will one day spend a bunch of time with them. There are also a number of features that I don't yet make use of, and it seems like the platform is incredibly versatile and adaptable.

What do you dislike about the product?
I suspect most of my dislikes are related to my not having the time to dig into the many training resources, but here are my main points of frustration:
1. I wish there was an auto-sort feature. When I add a project or make changes to deadlines in my project management spreadsheet, I'd like to have it automatically rearrange itself rather than me having to turn off the filter (which I use to filter out completed or abandoned projects), then select the three sort criteria I use (deadline date, priority then type of deadline), then turn my filter back on - every single time. It feels like there must be an easier way to do it, but if there is, I haven't found it.
2. I'd like tasks within an overall project to work a little more intuitively. You can nest tasks within the overall project, but when you sort by due date, the sorting always takes the value of the overall project rather than the next upcoming date.
3. It sometimes takes a bit for the page to update when my colleague submits a file to me for review. I'll get the notifications then go to the page and have to refresh a few times before the update is visible.
4. I'd also love it if, when I get a notification, I click on that notification and it goes directly to the line the notification is about. It does give you the line number, which is helpful, but a click to get there feature would be really handy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a million projects I am juggling, including many that require collaboration with colleagues. SmartSheets gives me a helpful way to track all of these projects and collaborations.
Great tool that allows to replace MS Project
What do you like best about the product?
It offers the online access to the project planning tool, containing all functionalities, that are needed for efficient project planning. It is like a MS Project and much more. I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically it is hard to point out things I don;t like about the Smartsheet. Minor glitches related do scalling a Gantt chart maybe, but this is insignificant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows an efficint project planning, replacing exels. The chery on top of a cake is a possibility to share the plan with stakeholders who don't have a full licence to use the system.

Streamline Your Workflow with Smartsheet: A Comprehensive Review

I like the way everything is organized in Smartsheet, friendly interface, easy to share,
What do you dislike about the product?
easy to go through, but I remember the first time I see the interface I did not have the same feeling, I mean, it did not look so easy as it looks now.

time management, delivery stimation, organization and resource distribution.
Solid platform
What do you like best about the product?
I am using Smartsheet to gather Sales Pipeline data from the salespeople, so for me the most helpful part of Smartsheet is being able to get consistent set of data from different levels of people in our organization with very user friendly forms that are easy to create. Gives our organization a professional data driven attitude overall when communicating with sales reps on the field.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not user friendly to transform the collected data(for ex: pipeline data from the field) onto metrics sheet and into Dashboards. The fact that we have to create metric sheet to be able to get dashboards out of the data is tedious. Creating/updating tables using Excel like formulas (that are different from Excel) to populate dashboards is not fun. I would rather use PowerBI to get the data and ignore Smartsheets own dashboarding process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to get consistent set of data from the field(our third part sales reps) that helps us fill up our sales pipeline with live continous updates. Our business performance increased significantly since adapting to the forms that we use to collect the data because our conversations are being handled in a more input/data driven way.
Smartsheet enables...you!
What do you like best about the product?
It is a combination of excel and the desire to be an excel master for project management; much like JIRA, it is a tool that is very easy to just in and use if you have a general understanding of excel. The various prebuilt templates are quickly brought into a new project and allow a group to hit the ground on day one. The conditional formatting and
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that you cannot have additional sheets; maybe 'addendum' sheets but it is hard when you have a multi-faceted project; otherwise I have not found something I do not like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to track user requests and development enhancements as well as bug fixes for some projects; in other projects we are using it to literally manage the tasks or individual line items.
