Game changer in Project Management and Executive Level Communication
What do you like best about the product?
In my time working with Smartsheet, I feel like I have only scratched the surface, and it has already revolutionized our ways of work. I like to say that Smartsheet is Excel on steroids. With workflow management, communications, information presentation, and so much more, Smartsheet has upped our game! My companly likes to try out several platforms and Smartsheet has been the standout in terms of universal use. From finance, to investments, to legal, and more, this product is a winner!
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to identify a shortfall of Smartsheet, it would not be with the product, but with the resistance of my colleagues to learn something new. Luckily, Smartsheet has a "Motivator" program that allows power uses to have access to training tools and small incentives to bring people to the table to learn more about the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe that there are silos that exisist to some extent in every business. Smartsheet helps to foster collaborative planning and teamwork. I have seen progress in creating solid teams and having people come together to creat better systems and structures.
Review for Smartsheet for Consulting Firm utilization
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and organization. I like that it helps me with workflow and able to communicate with stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Help desk not getting too much one on one experience but rather getting directed to a community that doesn't respond that well to the specific use case.

Workflow and helpfulness with communication.
Applicant Tracking System
What do you like best about the product?
I hopped on the smartsheet wagon about a year and a half ago. At the time our team was not utilizing Smartsheet in a way that benefited the team. I was able to quickly learn Smartsheet as it is incredibly user friendly, and create an Applicant Tracking System for our company. Our vendors were able to submit their candidates through a portal I created via forms, and our managers were able to review them on the back end of the portal. We went from having hundreds of emails in our manager's inboxes, to having individualized reports set up weekly, shrinking the overall impact to their inbox down to 1 email a week. In the past year and a half, we received nearly 3000 candidate submissions and hired amazing team members in the process. I'm so grateful for Smartsheet and the user friendly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aside from a few glitches here and there with automation, I can't really think of much that was an issue while using smartsheet. Sometimes the automation emails lag but nothing more than 15-20 minutes usually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to smartsheet, we didn't have an applicant tracking system.This caused our vendors to completely bombard our hiring managers with emails daily with new and existing applicants. Now, we go into smartsheet and view the outcome(or the automation is emailed to us) and we are able to give the agency updates immediately after interviews. No more emailing 100 times, calling, and bothering the managers. This solved a huge problem that we had and allowed us to free up the managers to do more than just read emails!
Seems okay, but it has a steep learning curve to use beyond glorified spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
There seems to be many options to use it for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The steep learning curve to set up projects and processes. I wish there was a team landing page to make it easier to navigate and share documents (similar to Aitrable Workspaces)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brining collaborators together to understand project timelines and objectives (gantt charts and tables), track progress (tables) and sometimes collect requests from folks outside of the team (using forms), but save that collected data in shared place for the team to access later.

What do you like best about the product?
Access, shareability and workflow. I like the ability to assign tasks to others and get reminders when things are due. I also like the ability to nest items with topic headers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes ared to get access with our Okta login. Also wish you could use more excel functions and fomulas. Header row functionality is sometimes clunky. Better to have excel like functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an online sheet to colaborate with others and share project items and dashboards. It is also good for tracking client interactions and adding reminders to update taks.
A good project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is similar to Excel, which helps me. You can easily create Gant charts, and project management docs.
The pre-made templates do help you setup.

You have to press Save everytime you make a change. It doesn't auto sync.

Customizable Platform that Grows with You
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet can opitimize any business practice that I think of in some way. It truly is applicable to so many things and has so much flexibility to meet the needs, and preferences, of all the different stakeholders in my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't have recurring tasks (yet) and really wish the comments feature had an RTE to allow for more visually appealing commentary that is easier to read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has eliminated have an inbox full of stuff and losing things in said inbox. It also allows for a more transparent view to leadership and team members of what each member of my team is working on and where they are at.
A necessary for a business.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to share, explore and dive deep into options to make things accessible for a group or a business regarding spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions I wish were available were things like auto-save with some things. Also, the ability to make changes to the sheet with another active person without the page being a little offsite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HR and Financial are two areas where we have used this software to help us better navigate as a whole. It's still being worked on, but I think it's doing its best for now as a group.
Like Excel, but with great additional features
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to create forms, assign tasks and share documents seamlessly while also having all my usual Excel tricks at my disposal as well. It feels like the best of both worlds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tasks take a little longer than usual (e.g. creating new columns must be done manually, so I can't duplicate a series of columns and simply rename them) but it's usually not a big deal for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my team keep track of our tasks and their progress. We also use it to gather information from new volunteers, RSVPs for events, etc. in a format that ensures the data we gather is easy to use.
Great for tracking projects
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to collaborate with my team within Smartsheet, we can assign project tasks and move around tasks easily. Being able to expand and collapes sections is helpfull when working on sections of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has so many capabilities that it can be complicated, I wish I had more training on how to use the functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us document and track our projects and OKRs and allows us to be collaborative while doing it.
