Helpful tool for managing timing plans and data trackers
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using smartsheets for timings plans and data trackers and it's been very helpful in cataloguing and filtering data. Moreover, it's been handy with working out time plans - especially the "predecessors" function.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet could be improved with a more reliant auto-saving, to make sure all the progress have been saved. The current option has been tricky with the sheet edited by a few people at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is helping create reliable and flexible timings plans. It has a solid layout that's clear and comprehensive and easily editable when the necessity strucks.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy enought to maneuver especially with Excel Experience. More stable than Excel when trying to share to many users at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functions. Would like to see a litle more functionality similar to Excel. Such as tabs or multiple sheets available. More formulas available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessabily of information to our customers.
Expensive Tool for a Small Business
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a really good tool. Project Management being in my opinion it's most valuable function.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its price structure made it not reachable for a small company, especially when there are other cheaper products that for most small companies will do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't answer this question directly. But it allowed me to write Project Timelines and use that for collaborating between collegues and customers.
Smartsheet works well
What do you like best about the product?
It is a good combination of highly configurable and easy to use. I am able to create some semi complex formulas and metrics while the end users are able to see what they need to and update easily without having to be able to understand the programming side.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that I don't always have the power that I would like. There are some things that are not easy to do and some of the more complex things I would like to do are not yet implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet alows us to keep all aspects of running the business in a single spot. We are able to use it for all our data and documents along with giving our clients a dashboard so that they can see real time how a project is progressing.

What do you like best about the product?
Using forms, logic, and conditional formatting to automate my work has been incredibly helpful. Also, using workflow to automate communication has helped me to make sure that everyonen is on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that sometimes there is so much to learn it can be overwhelming. We have a team member who has been using it for 3 years, and what he knows how to do versus what I know how to do is sometimes daunting. Also, have forms that update current rows would be really helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending emails back and forth can be difficult to keep track off, and too often details are lost. I like that it can be our one "source of truth." I also am excited to see how our team is able to use it in client management. The creation of dashboards I think will be particuarllly helpufl.
Smartsheet - excellent!
What do you like best about the product?
We can design thie completely the way we need it for our business. The tools, linked sheets, forms, with a limited technical knowledge you can build an excellent system. We built a system that includes freight forwarding, trucking, invoicing, financial data. With the linked cells, and external input/ output via Zapier, it saves us a lot of time and money, and if customers require any agile solutions, it is easily to implements this.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing missing for us is a proper input data form. There are forms available for the sheets, but only with one column. We would rather see more colums on the forms, and a design the way we require it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can design forms and templates the way we want it, and we can share data with our customers by linking selected cells. We can tailor this to anyone's individual needs.
Very useful
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is great for interactive sharing of data between businesses. I am able to log on and see multiple spreadsheets that our motor trade dealers update, which saves me time having to call or email them for information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there's any downside to using smartsheet. It's very easy to use and loads instantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is a timesaving middleman, I can log on and see all the latest updates from our suppliers without having to chase for information. It saves everyone a significant amount of time which means I can focus on other tasks easier.
Using multiple Smartsheet Documents along my Organization
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, definitely and mostly of all. The way the functionalities are placed meets my requirements mostly. It's easy for me to find what I need to use at the momet. I do like pure and simple layout - in my opinion its helpful in process of exchanging information between various users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be realy nice for those functionalities to present additional content (like proofs) for be more visible that they are realy attached. As I get the feedback from my colegues the sometimes struggle to find'em.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clear, fast and simple track of information that can be used by all the users in simple way. Many users can have fast access to the same files and share those forward. This flow realy allows to get more problem solving attitide of all coworkers. You can also link to the exact row - as great as simple. Creating the Workspaces is a good solition to create groups involved for example in onc ongoing project. We also used SS and a Knowledge Base documents - works realy well in that role.
A useful alternative to standard sheets you'd find elsewhere!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the cross-team collaboration aspect of Smartsheet. Although this can also be done in other software applications, the one feature which separates it from its competitors is the use of automations - they're extremely easy understand and fully customisable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet's filtering functionality is not as great as we would have hoped. It is not easy to customise and be flexible (as it is with excel or google sheets, for example), and it would be easiest to not have to create a new filter every time I want to amend it slightly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automation of reminders across all of our different functions has helped to streamline and make our processes less manual. It has saved us a lot of time in the long run and has increased our productivity across our different teams.
Awesome Tool for Data Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Simple tool for collecting data from a broad audiance via webform without the need for user accounts, then the ability to collate aggregate data insights in visual format.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about smartsheet is the recent hassle I've had in sorting our account to recieve GBP invoices rather than USD.
I would like to see Smartsheet develope a couple of things:
1. VLOOKUP that doesn't depend on the look-up data being sorted alphabetically or chronologically.
2. VLOOKUP that can look-up from a Report, not just a Sheet (this would resolve point 1.).
3. A function in Dropdown that can source the dropdown options from a column within another Sheet OR Report with dependencies.
I would like to see Smartsheet develope a couple of things:

We are collecting data across the organisation in a simple way via webforms at key gateway points in our processes. This allows us to analyse aggregate data to track against lead indicator targets and monitor trends/variances.
