rewarding, easy, great community assistence
What do you like best about the product?
When I first started using it I was a beginner but it didn't take long for me to get the hang of it, soon after more ideas flowed and the impact has been incredible.
Automations, reminders and alerts are our key – taking care of the mundane we all forget. These not only helped us save a significant amount of money but also greatly reduced errors. In fact, some areas are now nearly error-free, which is remarkable.
It’s very user friendly with only basic MS Office like knowledge required, especially if wanting to use cross sheet formulas – these are amazing for reporting and data collection.
During Covid Smartsheet allowed us to operate business as usual with no loss of productivity, laptop or Mobile App access a breeze. Given that it’s all online too I’m flawed that it’s never once gone down! Amazing.
The Smartsheet community is amazing, their exceptional in support. Their responsiveness is fast with many offers to assist, and the solutions they provide are truly exceptional. The best part? It's all available for free! This level of support is nothing short of inspiring and adds even more value to an already outstanding platform. What do you dislike about the product?
Recent backend changes have introduced a new search feature to the 'Move to sheet' automation, requiring us to search for sheets individually instead of using the previous tree structure. This change seems a backwards move when managing a significant number of sheets (we have 73) Previous user-friendly method showed all sheets in a tree system and much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication across various business units and involving the right people at the right stages is a critical aspect. Smartsheet has played a pivotal role in streamlining this process. Sales to Design, getting all the right information is critical, Form access and mandatory fields mean we now get what we need.
Construction realm coordinate between members and dispatch is greatly enhanced. Automated "request update" actions ensure that not only are materials ordered well in advance but also that the orders are received at the warehouse! – something so simple as a remote print is now confirmed as received, brilliant.. External Contractors can see what we have them booked on, dates, times, duration by referring to their dashboards, contributing to a smoother workflow.
With new sale activations from reps fed through a form has led to improved contract payment terms accuracy upon activation. In cases where this step is overlooked, the "update request" automation prompts sales to correct. This simple gathering of right data has significantly increased our deposit cash intake from 20% to an impressive 46.5%, much to the delight of our finance team.

A Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all the projects are easy to find, timelines are easy to build, and different projects can have sub groups within them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could view it in a calendar format sometimes to help my visualze vs. a list of dates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps my time keep track of timelines, projects, status documents etc. It is a great tool that we can all collaborate on.
Organized, efficient solution for businesses of all sizes
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the functionality of Smartsheet. Not only can you create personalized sheets, but you can link them, add formulas, create word documents and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take some time to learn and become familiar with Smartsheet. Smartsheet truely is smart, but it requires a certain level of knowledge by the user in order to use it to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us verify monthly payment calculations, helps us keep up to date information from our clients, and it helps us organize task lists so that nothing gets forgotten about.
Came because of work, staying because of the joy
What do you like best about the product?
I love the options Smartsheet provides - whether you need to create a sheet for quick data collection or build a complex dashboard, you will find all the resources you need in one place. I love how comprehensive and easy to use the entire platform is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Smartsheet is the lack of movability of sheets into workspaces and vice versa. Otherwise, no complaints from me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows my team to collaborate on sheets in real time, no matter where we are working. Having up-to-date access to changes makes our team's work extremely successful.
Great tool with a myriad of capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
It is very intuitive to use. Our company mainly uses for project management and budgeting, but there are so many other capabilities. If you know how to use Excel and Google Sheets, Smartsheet is very easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more templates available that I could customize for my needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Live tracking of data. Ability to message, highlight, call out other contributors within the sheet. Ability to create forms that populate data into the sheet. Ability to include reference documents with each line item.
Is very useful for make simple automation process
What do you like best about the product?
The best of smartsheet is the automation process that we can make for a company, because is simple to use for the users, is easy to configurate, is visually aceptable. I like best of smartsheet that usually they are trying to incorporate new features for improve the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, the visualization part of smartsheet, for me is not easy to make a visualization as is easy in Power BI or Tableau. I think taht it could be a point to improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automation of workflows, we was trying to solve the problem of not getting some approvals by mail all the time and to have the control on how many request we have to manage per week, per month, etc.
Best Platform for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps my team stay on track with all of our client's needs. My team is separated geographically and we are continually using Smartsheet to track our progress and even communicate through the platform internally. I will always advocate for using Smartsheet for any sort of project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you use a Form to collect data, I wish there was a better way to read that information rather than having each field be a column in a sheet. If it could collect the information and display it as if it were a questionairre, that would be so much easier to read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all the moving parts of several client implementations at once, across the country. Using Smartsheet, it's nearly impossible to let something slip through the cracks.
Good tool for charts and tracking projects
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked the Jira to smartsheet connector. I used this for my team to track trends for an enternal IT Service desk. I was able to pull in Jira ticket data based on topics, totals, status, etc. I used this data to create easy to understand charts which made it easier for our business teams to understand what types of issues we are seeing the most. This helped us then figure out where process/feature improvements should be developed. We also used smartsheets to track progress for different in flight projects and assign reminders on what is needed next and who to follow up with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for manipulating data in order for the chart to actually read it can be clunky. It is also not always very clear what is needed to be updated in order to have the chart read the data correctly. If a function does not work, sometimes it is not clear what needs to be updated or where the logic breaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Smarthseet solves for us is the ability to display Jira data in a readable and digestable way. The widgets that come with Jira are not very user friendly and very limited in their ability to provide usable information at a high level.

Smartsheet has allowed for streamlining processes, easier reporting and data analysis, and made our team more efficient.

I can't think of anything that I disklike about Smartsheet.

Easy to learn, so adoption is painless. Automation significantly decrease administrative workload / burden & creates a central point of truth

The desktop app can get a little wonky (bottom scroll bar disappears)

Our private equity investments live in smartsheet from day 1 to contract expiration. Hierarchical controls allow specific users to have customized visibility.
