It is hands down the best software for timeline management.
What do you like best about the product?
I love creating timelines and the auto changing dates when one date changes. Makes updated a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to get my creative and account teams to look at and use smartsheets. It isn't very user friendly if you haven't been trained on the platform. I end up having to copy and paste all my smartsheets into a google sheet when I share with account teams and clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving the ever annoying timeline management process for project managers. Not having to update an entire timeline and instead just changing one date and the other dates follow, is truly such a time saver for me and fellow project managers.
An amazing platform to have a shared workbook
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy smartsheet is to use and how many step-by-step tutorials are available as well. Smartsheet has many customization features to make large documents easier to read. Being able to connect different smartsheets together has been a game changer to automate information for all areas in the company. Being able to save different filtering options has been very helpful, one thing I wish excel had. The automations have also been very helpful and take the human error out of a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet only allows 500 lines to be copied at one time. This has been frustrating and time consuming with some projects from moving it from excel to smartsheet. I think smartsheet could benefit from having cell color filters like excel does, so people can visually filter information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving collabortive project management. The cell history during projects has been very helpful to be able to backtrack when solving problems that occur.
Collaborative Space Unlike Any Other on the Market
What do you like best about the product?
To be honest I was apprehensive at first of this application. However, the ease to connect other sheets and allow peers to use it as frequently I do, makes for the ultimate tool
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about smartsheet is the difficulty of connecting other sheets. I think I'm so used to Excel, that this has been a learning curve. But after getting the hang of it, its great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing me to connect internally and externally with my team and vendors. No other application allows for such ease of document sharing and collaboration.
Great Tool for all Project Managers!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is such an excellant tool for seeing timelines and big pictures projcets. The customzation per project is critical when you need variances accross the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is a bit of a technical glitch. When you select a date it defaults to the day before instead. I do with you could see a view that shows a calendar of multiple sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able for team members to see what is due each and every day and view timelines across a large portfolio throughout the year. Anyone can log in and see what is on their plate.
If you're a Project Manager, Smartsheet is your greatest asset
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to make detailed, adjustable project plans that are easy on the eyes and more importantly simple for customers to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be duplicative work if Smartsheet doesn't integrate with company mandated PSA tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to show critical dates to customers and the impact of delays or complications in the process. Using predecessors, I'm easily able to toggle between different dates to show how timelines may shift based on different factors.
Helpful Data Capture Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using smartsheet for caputring data. This where it sets itself apart from other workbook/spreadsheet tools. I'm a fan of the ability to create forms as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often would like to create sheets or tabs within a workbook more similar to excel. Spreading like data across different files within a folder feels clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like it as a place that has project and excel like functionalty in one place where the two can speak to each other. It bridges the gap between those two softwares in a way that it much smoother than the alternative.
Smartsheet is the better MS Project
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is really user-friendly and can be adopted quickly for new users. I especially like that it is easy to generate email alerts and automated workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I generally really like the product. It would be really great if it would be easier to add formulas for performing certain analyis on the data within the sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us to integrate the team, quickly share updates and project progress and to send reminders if certain tasks are due or falling behind the timeline.
User Friendly & Great Customer Help
What do you like best about the product?
It's very user friendly and intuitive. I was a new employee who's first task was to build a registration that had several different logic paths. I had never done something like this before but because smartsheet is so user friendly, I was able to build it out through trial and error quickly. Through the process I was able to learn a lot about using forms within sheets and now my team members come to me when they have questions! Also, if you have questions about smartsheets' capabilities, the customer team is very responsive and hugely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not so much a dislike but, there is a lot of potential still for smatsheet to grow its capabilities so I look forward to seeing how they do so and if they use the input given from customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it possible to create forms and manage event registraitons through some automation which is extremely helpful because, if you set things up correctly, it makes it possible for you to work smarter, not harder.
Smartsheet Review
What do you like best about the product?
Using Smartsheet's is easy and they provide training video's and templates that are easy to follow and make work efficient and save time. Love the dashboard templates!
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see some templates for RACI's or Lessons Learned. Lack of tab functions and not be able to load large files without using DS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Tracking and keeping my team on track

Gannt Charts and the ability to create multi-process flows
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty in collaborating with clients is explaining and using. Rigid and hard to create quick collaborative processes. Printing reports is VERY difficult and not presentation quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are creating processes and using Gantt charts to define timelines.
