Best organization tool for a business
What do you like best about the product?
I love how we are able to customize it to what we need. We currently use it for upcoming surgeries and it ensures patients have everything they need including blood work, insurance authorization, as well as clearances to be able to safely operate. Love the option to set alarms to email yourself of a reminder too!
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't stay on top of the sheet you make it can kind of get away from you and just be a bunch of information on an Excel sheet. You have to stay on top of the information coming in. Not really a downside to smartsheet, more of a suggestion for the person working SS to stay on top of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great in helping to make surgeries happen by allowing us to see which patients still needs things prior to surgery. It benefits our team in ensuring people are safely getting their surgeries completed.
Works great for what we need
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is easy to use and quick to learn. The ability to attach files and comment on a cell is very helpful for reviewing data etc. Using a basic spreadsheet isn't as easy to utilize. Web based program makes synchronous editing much easier also.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you don't apply it to the correct problem it can be a challenge. It has limited Project Management capabilities in how we use it. At times, it can be difficult to work with when setting up forms etc. Data restriction can be a challenge at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project schedules
We use it for creating requests through forms and tracking work on these tickets. It works quite well for this purpose.

Fast prototyping and good built in functions
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create a sharable project with different user rights where different players can add their input. Easy to create calendar views from grid inputs. I really like the customizable email notifications when conditions are met
What do you dislike about the product?
the syntax of the functions are not straightforward, especially if you are used to work with Excel and the debugging can be tricky sometimes. With Visual Basic you have more freedom but you need more time to learn it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a way to book the slots for different collaborators where everyone could see the free slots of the others and to note comments if they were not available. A grid view for the input that easily shifted in the Calendar view with different colors according to the conditional formatting set

What do you like best about the product?
The form-sheet linking is great. Really helps in ensuring data quality and control in information gathering. The views are a great addition to do multiple activities using the same data as the source/base.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboarding could use more features and flexiblity. Smartsheet does 90% of things really well but if it can resolve the remaining 10%, this will really be the tool for all program/project management activities.

Smartsheet is helping us link different teams across the organization. We realized that there is a lot of duplication of information/effort and using smartsheet has helped us create one source of truth across different projects.
Powerful platform to facilitate collaboration and organization
What do you like best about the product?
The scalability of smarthsheet is it's best feature. You can start with an single element like a grid or project plan and develop into a holistic program management tool with reporting and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some learning curves and the platform does have it's limitations. Most of these limitations can be overcome through rethinking how a solution is setup - though a lot of thought has to go into working around these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet drives everyone to a central "source of truth". Everyone can be on the same page driving decisions off the same information. Additionally - automated workflows has taken a lot of the thinking out of keeping information up to date.

Colaborating is very easy and collecting information from forms for multiple people to use is very helpful

When a team member or company I am working with does not have it.

It is keeping everyoneon the same page when collecting or reviewing data together
Disappointing
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets has a very user-friendly UI. It is easy for people who are not particularly tech-savvy to access and use the basic functionality. So if you have people that struggle with spreadsheets SmartSheets is a good product.
What do you dislike about the product?
SmartSheets is not nearly as robust as other services that cost significantly less. There are fee alternatives to SmartSheets that can do more and you never have to pay for additional functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In all honesty, when we transitioned to SmartSheets we were told that it would do everything that our previous product could do and more. It only took a few days to see that that was not true. We had to totally redesign our procedures and even scrap a few services that we had been providing to accommodate the limitations of SmartSheets. Rather that solve problems for us, it created new ones.
Smartsheet is very usefull tool for the fields of project managemet.

I like this type list of activities with most usefull option of indent and you can organize your activities on the easy way.
I think is very useful to share some information with other members who can not have a licence - cost.

Most Intuitive Gantt View Yet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helped me to be able to connect and stage various aspects of my projects, and the easy to use Gantt view helped me to be able to track this throughout the project. I have not found another Gantt view as simple or intuitive yet!
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality for stage completion is not as intuitive as linking various stages. Percentage complete seems bound to certain lines within a subtask, yet these aren't readily alterable or available. Just made it difficult to see exactly where each stage and substage was up to in terms of completion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had been searching for a Gantt view which was intuitive and easy to use. Not only was Smartsheet similar to the Excel formatting that I am used to (and appreciate), but it allowed me to then convert the view to a Gantt with the click of a button.
Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, really good user interface, helpful additional add-ins.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Dashboard save as is not available and prints has to be used for saving pdf.

By using smartsheet I do not need to use a second project management platform like Microsoft e.t.c and solve the storage problem, keeping all the files in smart sheet and easy access
