Smartsheet is an efficient, simple, and effective way to collaborate and keep track of projects.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way you are able to build in steps to move a project along in a process. I also love the ability to switch views and use things like the calendar feature or tagging contibutors.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that sometimes I wish there was an easier way to track data or see stats on how projects are doing or how they are progressing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of colloborating on content calendars and planning ahead for all types of marketing communicaton. It is beneficial becasue it allows us to stay organized while also providing everyone necessary a full picture view of our communication plans to clients.
Great Project Management Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great tool to track projects that take place in our organization. Our organization has created many internal sheets to track different projects in different areas such as design and development. It's really easy to create a new sheet and set up the sheet fields in the order you'd like. Throughout our time using Smartsheet, we've found many other ways we can utilize the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I don't like about Smartsheet. I initially had the free plan and it wouldn't allow you to open the sheet to today's date, which required a lot of scrolling. However, once my account was updated to a licensed account, I could use this setting. I'd say one recommendation is to have this available for the free plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing our team to track our client projects so we know where and when we'll have resources available. We use the gantt piece to easily color coordinate the tasks so it's easy to view what teams are working on what each week. We also use Smartsheet to track confirmed, tentative, and rejected projects in a list view so that our finance team can easily review what is coming down the pipeline in terms of revenue for projects. Smartsheet is solving a convenient and easy way to track the upcoming projects our team is working on.
Smartsheet provides a great organization and view for your projects
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the general view of a project in smartsheets. I like that you can customize the fields that you want to use and show. It is a great tool if you have multiple teams working towards the same project goal and if there are dependencies you can easily track them here.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use JIRA at our company to track tasks for a project and although I can put the JIRA links into smartsheet for reference and tracking, with out a JIRA integration keeping the status field updated is a very manual taks. I have to click on the JIRA link, see the status and manually update the staus field, which if you have a very large project, it is time consuming. If Smartsheets had a JIRA integration i think this would be a perfect tool for what we use it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a holistic view of a project and all of the tasks required to complete it. If our engineers do thri job of estimating their tasks, it allows us to see an espected completion date.
All-in-one tool for capturing feedback of all kinds
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to build surveys/forms for all types of projects. The forms function allows multiple different iterations/phases of a project to be captured in one place. Logic functions and question types include everything you could want to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest downside is there are so many functions of Smartsheet that at times it is a bit overwhelming trying to find what would work best for you, but there are plenty of resources and tutorials available online that you are always able to find a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest use case for my team is hearing from different teams, whether within our support center, or employees in the field. We leverage Smartsheet to capture feedback from all different groups and can track changes over time, which helps us show improvement and/or areas of focus
Very valuable and friendly tool
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to create sheets and automate them is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
To share a file the user must be in the same company domain depending on the administrator rules.
Difficult to limit the user view mode according to some filter, should have a filter mode view instead to create a dashboard.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to have kanban system in a white board to manage the repair flow in the area, with Smartsheet I could replace the white board and many benefits were come like: paper less, process visualization from anywhere, better information management, easy to create dashboards and reports.
Smartsheet - Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility it has in establishing a dashboard. The widgets are easy to use, and Data Shuttle allows me to ingest Excel reports and displays graphically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the ability to sort or search for items in my reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to report at a portfolio level, as well as at the business unit level. Yes, we are more productive because we're able to see a lot of information in one place to be able to make smart decisions.
Smartsheet Track and Update Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Our business uses Smartsheet throughout many departments. We are able to keep updates on our clients and customers using smartsheet. Smartsheet is like using a csv file and Word product at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not change anything about the functionality of Smartsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we have rotating clients, Smartsheet gives us the ability to track whether clients are active or inactive with our company.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet connects projects with timelines, budgets, other documents. It streamlines event management with timelines and marketing like no other interface I've experienced!
What do you dislike about the product?
Data entry in smartsheet can be very similar to other excel-like foms from teh back end. Perhaps there are other ways that data entry to differ from the standard of years past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet benefits the team because we are able to work with each other and collaborate more now that we are all working within smartsheet. The vast array of options for creating data columns allows for us to track a variety of different aspects of our many events all at once, which brings the group together.
Simple tracking and project management solution
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet continues to improve the usability of its solution by adding functions and features being requested by users. The tool is simple enough that onboarding new users or customers is not time-consuming. The ability to create web forms quickly makes the tool great when working on wireframe workflows. Overall, I've been very happy with the tool for the last several years of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of its user interface, it's not easy to combine information from multiple sheets together. There are a lot of enterprise features to help with version control, but those are not included in the base price of the solution. There have been plenty of times when I started a new Smartsheet and realized that a spreadsheet was probably a better solution after things started to get complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily leverage Smartsheet for Project Management with our customers. It allows us to create simple Project Plans that can be shared and collaborated with customers.
Good but not yet enough
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy is to track projects and some very useful templates with high level dasboards that can help to show it to executive. For an expert on smartsheets, I think it is really cool we can customize formulas to add conditionals
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used other tools and I think sometimes smartsheets can be replaced by Excel if we want to go free. I don't like that a beginner will have a bit of hard time if they use a template with formulas while other applications are not "sheets" with formulas, but they have features you can add the way you want
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fast way to create a project with timelines, assignees and other features that we use to track completion. The "quick" solution to use a template has helped me several times
