Has been extremely helpful for project management
What do you like best about the product?
User interface is very intuitive, similar to other programs (like Excel) and also customizable (different views, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not save automatically, and needing to pay for each person to "edit".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone has access to the same sheet(s) in a virutal setting, it can be edited anywhere for teams that are remote. It is keeping project teams organized where there wasn't structure before.
The ease and functionality of Smart sheet
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about smartsheet, for me, has been keeping a live sheet I am able to share with others within the company. Smartsheet has been able to help keep track of what step our form is at currently. When a form is submitted alerts are sent out to the person entering and they will continue getting notifications every step of the way. This alleviates us from having to go back and send out follow up messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit of a challenge to find a source to explain how to get started. I wish there were more documentation vs live training. I would also like some kind of on one training, or assistance while creating new documents. I also find the archiving, folder system a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made it incredibly easy to track the progress of certain forms, when before many items would be missed because we wouldn't have a concrete way of tracking them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resource management - working with several different teams with different proceses. I also use Smartsheet as a POR for my internal team. Helps me prioritize work and provide executive updates to key stakeholders.
Smartsheet is a great tool for keeping my projects organized and collaborating with team members!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the option to lock certain cells based on access permissions, the workspaces tool, as well as the functionality of the forms. Lastly, the workflows allows our team to work with extra efficiency, and prevent things from falling through the cracks. The option to customize the column types and add descriptions makes it possible to create a sheet perfect for any project.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you are unable to hyperlink specific text, only an entire cell. I wish Smartsheet allowed for multiple tabs within one sheet. These are the two largest issues I have with using Smartsheet, that I wish could be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps to solve issues with project management and collaboration with its workflow and automation tools. It keeps projects on track by emailing the necessary parties when it is their turn to complete a task or move forward with next steps.
Fantastic tool for Planning / Tracking / Communication
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of visibility for clients and therefore makes my production substantially more efficient (far less emails on statuses, project progress, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as the versitily is one of the best features...it also requires much more training time on the tool in order to get most out of it. Also, i think another access level between "owner" and "editor" because sometimes I dont want my other consultants to have freedom to edit column headers and such but would NOT want them to move/delete sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the best is communication between all parties (usually several different organizations) on issues, open items, who is reponsible for each. The best tool to prevent items falling through the cracks.
Great product overall
What do you like best about the product?
I like SmartSheet's wide range of usability. From forms, to grid, to card views, there is a wide range of potential uses. I have found it particularly handy in capturing required information.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downfall is that it is not similar to Google Sheets in that live updating is visible and no need to refresh to see changes made by other users. Not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to assign accountability actions on milestones and record responses. This is helpful in auditing who has and has not approved project related changes.
Smartsheet is an Overall Great Organization tool for Large Data Sets
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has a user friendly interface. It can be designed and customized for any task that you have in mind. My organization uses it for both internal and external projects that requires quite a lot of information. I enjoy using the filter functions in this app as it allows me to break down the information faster than in similar competing apps. Overall its a great product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike how sometimes if there are multiple users on the same smartsheet it will update changes very slowly. For example if there are only 1 or 2 users the App will update fast. But if there's four or more people on the Smartsheet at same time the updating can be very slow which is frustrating when you have a deadline to meet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped me organize my data for multiple reports which has helped me complete those reports timely and efficiently. I'd like to think that it has helped me to increase my performance and to process/compile/document/ and/or calculate/add information faster.
Powerful, expansive tool with many applications.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows you to capture and analyze data, in spreadsheet format, while also enabling you to automate workflows for input, notifications etc. I use Smartsheet in a variety of ways every day and it has become my go to program for many fucntions.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have found Smartsheet to have some limits with the amount of data it can capture. It still meets our needs but we have had to determine ways to work around those limitations. In spite of that, we still continue to use it because of it's versatile functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for cross-facility and cross-departmental collaboration to streamline and automate processes that used to require painstaking manual intervention.
Smart Sheet - Excellent for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to assign action items to users and view their progress. Most beneficial is that mulitple users can access the sheet and updat their actiosn or those of other team members with ease. The visuals are an excellent way to determine aged or outstanding items and quickly request follow-up. I also like the ability tocommunicate directly from the document regarding specific items and not having to search the entire sheet if there are questions or actions required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside forme is not knowing if team member has read a message unless they respond. There are no read receipts. Also, keyboard rather than mouse commands are needed when pating tot he sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has made communication much easier, clearer and more concise. It is a one stop shop for all team members regarding their specific tasks and those of the team. One can see where and how their actiosn will affect others and the team/project as a whole.
Be Smart By Using Smartsheets
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, Easy to collaborate, Easy to share. We love Smartsheets! It's intuitive and effective for tracking projects and making forms. We never worry about losing work, and we appreciate that it tracks the activities made by all collaborators.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a power user, and I'm sure there's a lot I can learn. That said, I wish I could use the Excell shortcuts I know so well. I also think it's very busy with all of the buttons displayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's much easier to share and control access than typical workbooks. Because it's so intuitive, it's not a problem for someone who has never used it to be an effective collaborator.
