Bridging Spreadsheet Familiarity with Advanced Project Management Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet for most of the Global projects we create.
The best parts in my eyes are the WorkApps that are saving giving permission to every item separately and are allowing me to share many items (Dashboards, Dynamic Views etc) with 1 link.
Another feature I love is the Dynamic View that again because we work with Many franchises we need to allow them to only see their own projects/lines and it does it beautifully.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue is on the reporting side.
The dashboards are great for small amounts of data or if you dont need to refine and slice the data.
When reaching larger amounts or the need to slice and filter thats where Smartsheet is lacking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue Smartsheet helps with is the different sharing and permission levels available so I can have 1 sheet but share it with filters or through Dynamic view.
Another great feature is the form, it's not perfect but allows for versatility and it's user friendly.
The Automations of course that are saving lots and lots of manual emails to a point where it won't be possible without it.

A great cross-org unification tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like Smartsheet because it is like an upleveled google sheet. It is so helpful in creating a centralized location for all data about project information, calendaring, and task assignment. I also like that you have the ability to analyze the data and see it in graph form via a dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislkie about smartsheet is the time it takes to learn all of the capabilities that it has,. This is mostly because it has so many different functions, it takes a while to learn how to use it most effectively. I also dislike that it doesn't have an auto save feature, similar to that of google sheets/docs. If you forget to save after enter your data, tough luck.

For my organization, we leverage Smartsheet as a centralized location for all data about project information, calendaring, and task assignment, as well as content collection.

Smartsheet provides quick and easy access to our team, and allows us to use logic to connect and provide the most up to date notes to our business owners

Sometimes it does crash and doesn't auto-save my notes. I often hit save, and go back to make sure my notes applied

Samrtsheet has a unique feature of integration with other apps. In addition to this, a very user-friendly app

The limitation of cells and rows is the only thing that I dislike in Smartsheet.

By creating a Smartsheet Dashboard, we are able to collect Data from the company's platform in one place.

What I like most about Smartsheet is that every one in our organizaton is able to see and share all information they need in real time across one platform.

What I've found to be the least helpful is getting answers from a real person. There are a lot of classes it seems like, but no one to go to with questions.

Everyon in our organaztion is able to collect and share info in one place.
Excellent Product for Large Companies, Not designed for small usage scenarios
What do you like best about the product?
It has wonderful automation and information management capabilities. It takes your information and organizes and presents it in very usable formats with wonderful reporting capabilities. It streamlines information flow with the form creation and sharing / collaboration features. We love that it integrates with Microsoft 360 to give a more powerful solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure is not designed for small use cases. It is very expensive to use on a smaller scale, it is designed to be purchased as a whole company/process solution with all the modules/options purchased. When you only purchase basic usage or a few add on modules, you lose a great deal of functionality. We felt like we were constantly being "upsold" in order to achieve the solution we required. We also are discouraged about the lack of integration with other data sources so it requires a lot of data entry to populate information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to track software licensing purchases and renewal dates. Smartsheet tracks this information and notifies us of upcoming expirations.
We need to collaborate on on-going project status with internal and external teams, including the customer. By utilizing SmartSheets and sharing the information on a Microsoft SharePoint site we are able to do so.
We need to receive service requests from internal and external sources. We use the SmartSheet form to collect the request and required information to then populate a tracker sheet to fullfill the requests.
We use SmartSheet to schedule and track Project tasks during the installation process.

I appreciate the versatility of Smartsheet when it comes to various projects. Its extensive collection of pre-designed templates makes task setup incredibly smooth. Moreover, its seamless integration with other applications greatly facilitates the sharing of information.

While Smartsheet is an efficient tool for small to medium sized projects, handling large datasets in the software can be quite slow. The extensive data that needs to be processed sometimes poses challenges and causes delays. Moreover, the wide array of customization options available in Smartsheet can feel overwhelming, especially for users who are new to the platform.

Using Smartsheet makes it easy for us to track and adjust our company project timelines. The dynamic scheduling tools offered by Smartsheet provide flexibility when unexpected changes occur, eliminating the need for manual tracking methods and significantly reducing the chance of errors on our part.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the versatility of Smartsheet, as it can function as both a spreadsheet and a project management tool. The grid feature enables easy sorting and organization of data, while the chart feature visually displays our project's progress. This platform has greatly improved our organizational processes.

There are some limitations to customizing the appearance of Smartsheet to align with our brand's style. Having a broader range of visual customization options would be more advantageous.

Juggling multiple stakeholders and ensuring timely project completion was a complex task. However, by utilizing Smartsheet's Gantt chart feature, we were able to improve the visualization of project timelines. This led to a significant reduction in project delays and greatly enhanced communication with stakeholders.

Various promising features integrated in the software helping to ease the data centralisation and management process, free from manual tasks and boost efficiency.

Often experience minor bugs that disrupt the process which could not clearly identify cause and solutions enven if support is contacted.

What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of any many downsides. When working with figures the formulas aren't the most user friendly I would have preferred if it worked exactly like excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is giving us a central platform where information and data can be shared securely, as well as various other tasks and automations that we do on the platform. There is hardly anything you can't do on Smartsheet.
