Excellent Productivity and Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
When you think about Smartsheet being a database to store information, you gan get it to do almost anything you want it to do from capturing end user survey responses through forms, managing business processes such as onboarding and events. Smartsheet's automations are a lifesaver. I can set it and forget it and I can't begin to tell you how many hours the autmoations have saved me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Smartsheet has made many improvements since I started using it in 2017, I'd say one of the bigger downsides is the expense and the pricing structure. You don't have access to all modules unless you pay for them. While I understand that completely, it's also a bummer. I would also like to see the ability to format emails within the automations. The other biggie is you can't share at the folder level. It would be a game changer for me to be able to have a folder with a group of sheets (or reports, dashboard, etc) in it and be able to share that entire folder. That actually has to be the biggest downside of Smartsheet I can think of. It's actually preventing me from using it for one of my big projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through the utilization of Smartsheet as a tool, we were able to streamline our onboarding process eliminating communication issues and backlogs in the process. This saves everyone time, stress and ulitimately the company money.
Smartsheet - Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has improved our Projet Management processes and heled to reduce the time that we spend managing projects for many of our global customers. One of the key advantages is the ability to publish sheets and information for our customers without requiring them to create an account or log into another software. We have also started using Smartsheet to share files between our internal team, customers, and field install agents. This has reduced the need for our team to travel to many sites where we had to travel in the past.
Another key factor that has increased our reliance on Smartsheet is the use of Control Center to help bring a form of continuity to our projects. By using the Control Center product, we have been able to unify projects across multiple portfolios and roll up reporting for our Sr. Management team. Today our management team has visibility into our financials and risk items in a way that they did not in the past. This provides real time access to data so that action can be taken sooner to help reduce loss or issues for the customers.
Our team also uses Smartsheet Resource Management. We moved away from another platform and this has been a win for our project management team. Today our Project Managers have real time access into the hours being spent by the team to deliver a product. The Project Managwer can determine if too much time is being spent in one area or provide feedback to our sales team about future increases in time that is needed based on true historical evidence.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the largest downsides that our team is experiencing with Smartsheets is the lack of reporting and interaction between Resource Management and Smartsheets. Currently Resource Management does a very good job of pulling in information from the Project Schedule and build a resource forecast. This has helped us plan for the future. What the system lacks is the ability to bring the actuals back into Smartsheet for analysis. We primarly use Resource Management as our people cost actuals on a project. To bring that information back into Smartsheets where we can track it is a manual process. We have brought some information over as reports in Resource Management, but this requires a license to review. This has caused issues as none of our customers and only a small subset of our managemnet team has a license to Resource Management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the largest issue that this has solved is the ability for our team to share information. This includes being able to develop dashboards and reports for our management team. We have been able to build out several dashboards so that they can view information at both the Macro and Micro level.
Best Spreadsheet Program
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Smartsheet about a year ago and I've loved it ever since. I personally like it more than Excel because the layout is easier to to read and it's simple to adjust the filters, groups, etc. We utalize Smartsheet at my company in so many ways. Overall, it saves me time and allows others to add information to the sheets simultaneously while working on them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints about Smartsheets, the system works great for my current field of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps with my efficiency at my job. The sheets are always quick to load and I can keep the webpages open all day without having to refresh or worry if something hasn't been saved properly.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of it. Especially because I feel like version control errors do not occur in smart sheet

Not a lot of intuitive functionality for formatting/formula changes. Used to excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage all of our KRs on smartsheets. With 100s of employees - it makes it easier for many employees to work on the same sheet at he same time.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can create table and they all working together and I dont have to create any rules or code to make them work together.

I haven't used this program too long to not like something. Everytime I learn something it make even more easier for me to work with this program.

Useful Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
The automations inside smartsheets are useful for staying on top of adminstrative reqiurements of projet management work. The software is easy to understand and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of cross tagging for cross reporting makes have many sheets for many projects confusing. I work over 26 projects and linking the software sheets is not simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us track project work and stay on top of project deliverables that drive revenue. It does enable us to be organised but some functionality means it takes a long time to use to its full potential.

Excellent software for managing projects, more robust and versatile than Excel.
What do you like best about the product?
The spreadsheets and forms that Smartsheet can make are great, and it has many current technologies that may open up many job possibilities; rapid collaboration is another tool that I routinely utilize. The benefits are undeniably the live data and the ability to communicate in real time; there is no need to continually transmit updates or exchange files until you are confident that the data is correct. Making our orders and job requests more comfortable and accessible to other employees may also aid in the organization of data and attachments, as well as the simplification of interactions.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have few capabilities for creating charts or graphics from your data, and it would be preferable if the connections were not locked behind pricey plugins. Furthermore, the first learning curve is steep, making it difficult to persuade individuals to begin using it. While Smartsheet has a mobile app, the experience and capabilities on mobile devices may be reduced in comparison to the desktop version. On mobile devices, some sophisticated capabilities may be unavailable or have a decreased usefulness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has assisted us in managing, tracking, and notifying everything related to the project we are presently working on; we can keep track of a large quantity of data, keep all relevant personnel informed, and make reports, among other things. Smartsheet makes it easier to search for documents and download attachments, and it also allows you to simply search for what you're looking for in a given report. Smartsheet increases productivity, cooperation, efficiency, better and quicker decision making, and overall project success by tackling these frequent issues. Smartsheet helps teams to operate more effectively and efficiently by solving these common issues.
