What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and very intuitive, especially for teams familiar with spreadsheets. It makes it simple to organize tasks, track progress, and collaborate in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet becomes limited for complex workflows, especially when teams need deeper automation or structured task tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps centralize information and keeps all tasks organized in one place, which improves team coordination.
Great for Project Data Storage, But Ticket Management Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The feature I like the most is that we're able to create development sheets that allows us to store and access to projects information in one space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Based on my experience, it's best for storing project data rather than manage it. Creating and assigning tickets it's a manual process that can easily lead to errors and consumes valuable resources that could be directed towards the project development instead of the initial stage. It's also not very integrated with other systems or tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Actually it has been phased because of the lack of automation it can offer when compared with other business management tools. But, in the time it was used, it allowed to manually create and assign tickets of a project, and also creating a detailed per stage calendar for the developments.

The initial setup was easy, which further enhances its usability and efficiency.

I dislike that when moving rows over to other sheets in Smartsheet, it includes unnecessary columns that are not needed on the other sheet.

I use Smartsheet for automating processes, enabling seamless team communication without manual effort and aiding remote work with its cloud-based setup.

Smartsheet offers more advanced features such as filters, formulas, and the ability to edit various input fields from any device, including tablets like the iPad. This makes my workflow seamless and efficient. Additionally, I find the setup process for Smartsheet to be super easy, which made the transition from Google Sheets smooth for my team. Overall, Smartsheet provides visibility for all team members, especially regarding assignments and ownership of specific shipments, which is extremely valuable. Its ability to integrate with other tools such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive further enhances our operational efficiency.

Somethimes it get messy when more that one person is editting or "hover" a field

It's simply the best system ever in my experience, with the ability to set up quickly with just a few basic steps. Smartsheet stands out so much that I would rate it higher than a 10 when recommending it to a friend or colleague.

This feature is particularly beneficial in my lean setup, as it pings the right stakeholders when certain conditions are met, ensuring smooth operations without an ornate software stack. The ability to track overall activity on a sheet, as well as activities per cell, is extremely valuable for maintaining oversight. Additionally, I really appreciate the ease with which I can prepare Gantt charts for waterfall project schedules. This functionality makes controlling dependencies much more straightforward, especially when compared to alternatives like Microsoft Project or Primavera. Smartsheet integrates seamlessly with tools such as Outlook, Windows, Bluebeam PDF, and Excel, which enhances its utility in my project management tasks. Finally, the availability of templates makes the initial setup moderately easy, allowing for a quick and convenient start.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the recent modernization of the Smartsheet UX. It feels like it's lost functionality, and having to relearn where everything is has been a disturbance. Although the previous interface was dated, I had become comfortable with it over time.

To fully take advantage of Smartsheet's features, users currently need to go through some complex steps. I believe the experience would be much better if Smartsheet could simplify the process, making it easier for users to make modifications.

One of the challenges Smartsheet addresses for me is the repeated task of generating progress reports for my team about my projects. With Smartsheet, I can set up live dashboards that deliver real-time updates, allowing my team to access reports whenever they need. I appreciate that when I change the date for one item, it automatically adjusts the timeline for the whole project, saving me a considerable amount of time and ensuring accuracy across projects. The overall setup of Smartsheet was fairly easy, which minimizes the initial hurdles of getting started. I find these features significantly enhance productivity and facilitate efficient project management, which is why I'd highly recommend this tool to others, evidenced by my perfect recommendation score of 10.

I find the login process could be improved. It keeps asking me to use my old email.
