Simplify work sharing and collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy working with Smartsheet because it helps me stay organized and efficient. I use it to manage a variety of tasks, including auditing and creating schedules. Its customizable structure makes it easy to track multiple items at once, share updates with others, and ensure everything stays on schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside I've experienced with Smartsheet is that while it's great for organizing and managing tasks like auditing and scheduling, it can become overwhelming when working with large or complex sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a centralized platform where my team can organize, view, and track tasks in one place, reducing the risk of missing deadlines or losing information.
All-in-one project management system
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been my go-to program for all things project management. Whether it be organizing lead time, or incoming material - it computes it all with ease. The ability to export into multiple different programs is key to satisfy requirements to send to customers. The customer support is fantastic and easy to get a hold of someone. The program is easy to use and versatile. No training required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The linking between pages takes several refreshes to sync. For project management with lead times, the lead times will not refresh unless the sheet with the data it is importing from, is also refreshed. This can lead to confusion and misinformation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizes projects in a time line like manner (gannt) to organize our work force and how much time will be sent on site specific jobs.
Great for tracking progress.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps track progress for different programs, and I like the graphs. The Dashboards help integrate everything and simplify the process for larger groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited features and difficulty in creating some tracking sheets and automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us have all of our work in one space. We are benefiting from this because it is easier to locate documents and information in case of employee turnover.
Smartsheet is a great tool but takes time to learn.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet is a live document. I like that it allows multiple users to update and comment back and forth to each other.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that if you do not save, you might lose your updates. Someone else could save over your updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows our groups to share a live document and add updates as needed. We use smartsheets for billing, tracking, and setup documents.
Powerful project management tool with some limitations
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage of Smartsheet, when sheets are properly structured, is its intuitiveness and ease of use for less tech-savvy employees. Reports work brilliantly – it’s just a pity that users need access to the source sheet in order to view or edit data within a report. The ability to build complex sheets with formulas, checkboxes, dropdowns, and cross-sheet references proves extremely effective for project and financial management. Automation features, along with reminders and alerts, are also very useful. I also appreciate the integration with Power Automate, which enables the creation of advanced workflows. Additionally, the option to create dynamic dashboards greatly simplifies information management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback is that many advanced features – such as Dynamic View or WorkApps – require additional licensing, which can be a barrier for smaller teams like us. It’s frustrating that there are no intuitive solutions for certain actions, such as “copy row” or “move row” functionality for specific columns instead of the entire sheet. There’s also a lack of more granular access/editing/visibility control levels for individual users (partially addressed by Dynamic Views). With larger sheets, performance issues become significant. On a smaller note – the limited 40-color palette is quite annoying, especially the lack of RGB-based custom color selection 😉
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us centralize and structure project data in a way that’s clear and accessible for both technical and non-technical team members. By using formulas, cross-sheet references, checkboxes, dropdowns, and automations, we’ve replaced dozens of manual spreadsheets, email threads, and scattered tools with a single, scalable workspace. The ability to automate notifications and status updates reduces human error and saves a great deal of time. Even less tech-savvy employees can quickly adapt to the system, which improves overall collaboration and data consistency across departments.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pull all tasks and aggregate them all upto a single project line to feed into a higher level report

Having to pay extra for resource management which is out the box for MS Project

The ability to ensure we have clear visibility and sharing of our project across our busines
Smartsheet Flexible, Easy, Recognizable
What do you like best about the product?
SS looks like Excel but acts like your own customizable software. You can build logic, attach documents, set alerts, create reports, dashboard with ease. In my past job I had to engage our IT team to build out logic and wait for weeks / months for tools I can build in smartsheet in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to build templates that auto update as they are improved across existing sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one spot to management everything from. Your files are attached to your schedule, to their tasks, to the people responsible for the tasks. Alerts are right there. No hunting for items in 10 spots.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that changes can be seen by all parties and it tells you where each campaign is at every step of the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that I cannot zoom out. It's a bit difficult to navigate at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not sure.
Smartsheet provides a seamless multi-use experience for work related items!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use that Smartsheet provides. I personally use it for tracking time and projects that myself and my team are working on. Allowing for more communication and organization amongst our team as a whole.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find anything I dislike about Smartsheet. Not sure if this is an option, but would love to be able to link Smartsheet to other applications like Teams or Jira. Otherwise, love this tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves organizational and communication issues by having everything in what I like to call a "One stop shop". Great tool to use amongst your teams in the workplace.
User friendly project management software
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is easy to use for project managers at all levels of experience. I have been able to do trainings of fellow colleagues who have no project management background with no major issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to configure Smartsheet cells to show visually, automatically when activities are running late. It would also be great if there were AI generated dashboards of the smartsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use smartsheet to manage an entire program.
