Bumpy at first but getting better
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has so many amazing features. It can do almost anything you want it to do. Workflows, approvals, automation, tracking, formatting, project management, document management, resource management, syncing with other applications like sharepoint and salesforce. Smartsheet can do it all! There are tons of out of the box templates that make it easy to use. And customer support has been responsive to feedback. The previous licensing structure was a nightmare but smartsheet took that feedback and made some amazing improvements. They paused billing on the licensing to fix customer grievances and came up with a much better solution. The smartsheet knowledge base is also an incredible resource for training and implementation. I use it every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that because it is so customizable, you really need to have a smartsheet technical guru on staff. And if you want something different than the out of the box templates, you need to hire a 3rd party partner to configure it for you. Our initial onboarding period was pretty bumpy but we've since gotten a new account manager who is awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had too many separate applications and people were spreading themselves thin jumping back and forth into systems that didn't talk to eachother. We had no visibility into tasks or project timelines and could not effectively manage our projects and deadlines. We needed metrics and dashboards for projects and portfolios and smartsheet can provide all that and more.
Decent but not comprehensive
What do you like best about the product?
I use smartsheet mainly for 2 things - create & miantain forms, request queue management.
>> Creating forms is easy and looks way better than google forms. Helps to track & delegate requests in a simplified manner.
>> Workflows are pretty handy in triggering email notifications for things like weekly reports, request updates etc.
>> Formatting options are good in sheets. Filters can be shared, excellent feature

What do you dislike about the product?
There are many limitations and would be great if product is evolved.
>> Validations are missing in forms like I don't want user to select a date in past
>> There is no option to hide details in form so that same form link can be maintained and information can be exposed based on situation and scenario.
>> Forms can be more advanced like field can fetch values from excel loaded into smart sheet etc. right now it is all static info

Helpful tool to organize and manage different projects efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
The Gantt charts in Smartsheet are super helpful for keeping track of different timelines and dependencies. One of the biggest upsides of using Smartsheet is that the entire team can access and update the same information in real time, so there’s no need to go back and forth with questions—everything stays organized and up to date in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful part about Smartsheet is that it can take a while to set up initially, especially when building out dashboards or more complex sheets. A downside is that some of the tools and features aren’t very intuitive or easy to find, and I wish there were better automation options for dashboards to save time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping solve several business problems, like keeping project timelines organized, improving team collaboration, and ensuring accountability across tasks. It helps track progress in real time, reduces the need for constant status update meetings, and keeps all project-related information centralized and accessible.
Powerhouse Speadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
It really makes a difference in versatility and customizability, making it an incredibly powerful tool for project management and work collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes comes with a steep learning curve but that's just a matter of time to get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall Project overview with all its subtasks, dependencies that are related, including the KPIs we want to track.
So far everything goes smoothly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the spreadsheet type of organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like the Mac OS app. I would like to use a native app on my laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like assigning tasks and overviewing progress based on deadlines and comments/feedback from other users. Helps to keep everything nicely organised and on track.
Smartsheet application review
What do you like best about the product?
That the are multiple way to display information and ways to draw data from multiple sheets into one area. It's easy to provide people with access to areas I want them to have access and yet restrict what they can change and where.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas can be difficult to set up, definitely not as easy as with Excel. I also with I could change the colours inside the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to connect people in one area in a living document - rather then sending documents across to each other via email. People can add and edit at their own time on tasks and it's visible to everyone to see the progress.
Easy to use but sometimes a bit clunky
What do you like best about the product?
I've found Smartsheet to be a very user-friendly platform that's great for managing projects and workflows. One of the features I appreciate most is how easy it is to get started—even without a technical background. The interface is intuitive and feels familiar, especially if you're used to spreadsheets.
What really stands out for me is the ability to create forms. They're simple to set up and make it easy to collect information from team members or external users. The responses feed directly into your sheets, which helps streamline processes and keeps everything organized in one place. Overall, Smartsheet has been a great tool for increasing efficiency and collaboration.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate how easy Smartsheet is to use and the helpful form feature, there are a few areas that could be improved. One issue I’ve noticed is that creating connections between sheets can sometimes be slow or a bit clunky. It also takes a little while for data to update across linked sheets, which can be frustrating when working in real time.
Another drawback is that some files or sheets can take a while to load, especially when they contain a lot of data or attachments. It’s not a constant issue, but the occasional lag does interrupt the workflow.

Flexible and powerful tool for project tracking and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet provides great flexibility for managing projects and tasks. I particularly value the ability to indent rows to create a clear hierarchy, and the option to add comments, attachments, and tag team members directly within rows. These features make it easy to build complex tracking matrices in a familiar spreadsheet-like format, while enabling effective collaboration across teams. I also use the proofing tool regularly and appreciate the ability to integrate forms for additional data collection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are not very intuitive and require a significant time investment to understand or implement effectively. As a result, they often get deprioritized unless they are absolutely necessary for the project. I also think the platform would benefit from an auto-save function, which would make the experience more streamlined and align better with expectations set by tools like Google Docs and Microsoft Office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps centralize project and task tracking in one collaborative platform, reducing the need for scattered spreadsheets and disconnected communication. By linking information across teams and departments, it improves visibility and alignment. The ability to tag people, attach files, comment, and use forms means we can manage workflows more efficiently and keep all project-related information in one place. This has streamlined our processes and improved accountability and productivity across projects.
Smartsheet Review – 4 Years of Seamless Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Having used Smartsheet consistently for the past four years, I can confidently say it has become an indispensable part of our team’s workflow. As a Brand Coordinator, managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration is critical—and Smartsheet has delivered on all fronts.
What truly sets it apart is how seamlessly it supports our crucial meetings. Our entire team relies on it to track progress, assign responsibilities, and ensure alignment before, during, and after every key discussion. The ability to centralize updates, automate reminders, and visualize project status in real time has significantly improved our efficiency and accountability.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet has been a reliable tool for managing our team’s crucial meetings and workflows over the past four years, there are a few areas where it could improve:
Limited Real-Time Collaboration Features
Unlike some other platforms, Smartsheet’s real-time collaboration can feel a bit clunky. Simultaneous editing sometimes leads to version conflicts or delays in updates appearing for all users.
Complex Automation Setup
The automation rules are powerful, but setting them up can be unintuitive. It often requires trial and error, especially for more advanced workflows.
Performance with Large Sheets
As our projects grow, some sheets become quite large, and performance noticeably slows down. Loading times and responsiveness can be frustrating during meetings.
Mobile App Limitations
The mobile experience doesn’t always match the desktop version in terms of functionality, which can be a drawback for team members on the go.
Pricing Structure
For teams that scale, the cost can add up quickly. Some features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which may not be feasible for all users.
