Easy Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet it easy to share and create basic spreadsheets to track project information
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was OOTB funcationality to connect MS Outlook to Smartsheet. Ideally send a reoccuring calendar meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SHareable links help us communicate with users outside of my organziation. We lock down sharepoint to internal users only, so it's great to be able to colaborate with users outside of my organization
Easy to use and versatile platform
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is incredibly straightforward and intuitive, making it easy to learn and use. So far, we've always been able to accomplish whatever we've needed with the platform. Whether it's conducting employee surveys or creating detailed dashboards, we rely on Smartsheet for a wide range of tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to keep track of all the sheets inside a company. There is no company reference page to visit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create dashboards that streamline workflow management within our department, ensuring that every user enjoys a consistent experience.
Powerful once you climb the learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you the flexibility of a spreadsheet with the structure of a light project-management tool. Templates and forms made it easy to standardize how we collect info, and automations (alerts, update requests, reminders) save me a lot of follow-up time. Dashboards are handy for quick status views, and permissions let me share a sheet with different levels of access without making a mess. I use it once a week to track tasks and small projects, and once things are set up, it keeps everyone aligned.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s definitely a steep learning curve. The formula syntax and cross-sheet references feel a bit different from Excel/Google Sheets, so it took me a while to get comfortable. Permissions can be fiddly (especially when multiple people are editing), and large sheets slow down more than I’d like. Some reporting and Gantt print options are limited, and the mobile app is fine for checking status but not great for building anything. Integrations beyond the basics (e.g., premium connectors) may require higher tiers or admin setup, which adds friction during implementation. Overall, it’s powerful—but expect to invest time up front to get real value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s helping me keep projects organized in one place instead of juggling between spreadsheets, emails, and task lists. Having tasks, due dates, and files tied together makes it easier for the team to stay on the same page. The automatic reminders and update requests reduce the amount of chasing I’d normally have to do, which saves time and keeps things moving. For me, the main benefit is transparency, everyone can see progress and responsibilities without needing a separate status meeting.

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely Easy to use. Completely streamlines communications in our workflow process.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to name something, it can be a bit glitchy time to time, but even that is rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a PM, Smartsheet helps me document, create a schedule, and notify the shop of deliveries, fabrication requests, and delivery requests. All aspects of my job are streamlined in one place.
Smartsheet is my favorite daily tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that smartsheet has an audit trail, email notifications, and attachment sorting / upversioning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could font/highlight specific words in a cell instead of the entire cell. I would like better filter capabilities

It's allowing communication with clients on a wide range of information. It's allowing us to track chages/updates. It allows project management and timeline tracking.

convenient, web base, tons of application

it does take time to learn because it is a different system from microsoft but that is normal

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is very collaborative and that it is great for publishing pages to the public that have a behind the scenes side for our employees to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that basically everything has to be public and it isn't good for very large spreadsheets. And it needs a lot more fun aspects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of being able to gather information from a large amount of people and share it with a large amount of people.

What do you like best about the product?
Wide range of functions. Intuitive to use. The team has been able to adopt the software quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding sheet listings using the search facility takes a while. Maybe I need to find out more about refining my search terms.

We use Smartsheet for colleagues to request work from our Department. I use Smartsheet to allocate work to different members of our Department. We also use Smartsheet to circulate artwork for approval.
Smartsheet is great! the constant license changes are very annoying
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to work on an online spreadsheet, the resourcing function and the dashboards

The license changes are a bit much, other than that it works perfectly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use smartsheet for resourcing and it is really great! we also use smartsheet for our implementation projects and cross collaboration with firms during the implementation projects which really works well.

spreadsheets that can be shared with the team, updated by any member on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this stage, it's really a matter of getting accustomed to it, as we are rolling it out across the entire company.
