What do you like best about the product?
The streamlined & easy to access work flow - information can be stored & linked quickly to build efficent workflow skeletons
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the formulas/sheet functions/automations are not as intuitive as I expected them to be & there are actually quite a lot of limitations on how to link & share things between sheets

It has allowed information & material holdings to be updated live & shared

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is clearly designed with quality as a priority. Its user-friendly interface and strong audit capabilities make it especially valuable for those working in regulated industries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface may not be the most intuitive or up-to-date, but it is still navigable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is excellent for managing documents in accordance with regulations. Additionally, its management of change module makes it easier to control changes and provides a space for all relevant stakeholders to contribute their input.

I love that fact that other users are able to create sheets and it is easy access.

Smartsheet user interface is intuitive and easy to use. The charts and reports functionality along with workflows make the system powerful for complex project management.

Smartsheet requires licenses for advanced functionality. The base licenses support basic project management without the ability to perform portfolio management.

Managing a large pool of shared resources across hundreds of concurrent active projects.
Effortless Collaboration and Visibility with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet's live document feature, which provides full visibility and enables real-time collaboration with both internal teams and customers. The ability to build dashboards is fantastic, and the flexible access rights are a significant advantage over binary systems like Excel. Grouping tasks under parent tasks and the simplicity of using filters enhance usability. It's user-friendly enough for non-developers to create pages easily, making it accessible for interns to contribute effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be beneficial to have more in-person sessions and meetings. In the past, there were numerous sessions in London where we could meet, present case studies, and learn from peers. While I understand much is done remotely now, having more face-to-face interactions would be great for sharing how we use Smartsheet and learning from others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Smartsheet solves visibility issues with live document sharing and offers flexible access rights, enhancing internal and customer collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive experience for users in tracking project timelines and deliveries.

The UI should be improved for proper segmentation of projects.

As a Software Test Analyst, I am able to track tasks assigned to me by the project management team.
Smartsheets has been great although sometimes limiting

Designing dashboards is very flexible and able to create the exact layout I want.
The formula language is very well documented, easy to read and understand. The documentation is also integrated directly within your sheets, making it easier and faster to write formulas.
Smartsheets also has an active and supportive community, with members eager to help you find solutions for your projects. If a feature doesn't exist, there is usually a work-around for just about anything you'd like to do.

What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the biggest issue with the formulas is VLOOKUP does not allow you to vlookup from the bottom up. This requires you to use clunky workarounds and extra formulas that slow Smartsheets down.
I would like to be able to update sheets every 1 minute, using the automation tools, but the fastest we can do is 1 hour, without using the API and hosting code on a server. Faster updates would allow us to track time sensitive tasks and alert operators immediately.
When working directly within sheets that have thousands of rows with formulas, it can cause the browser tab to freeze or longer save times.
Overall Smartsheets has been a pleasure to work with and only have a few small gripes.

This tool allows us to monitor KPIs and PIs across different departments, making it easier to visualize and interpret months of data. It helps us gain a clearer understanding of how our business is performing.
