Versatile with Room for Improved Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet's capability to handle multiple work streams and its ability to be shared easily across teams that are not all part of the same organization. I also find the consulting hours included in the package incredibly beneficial, as they helped streamline our dashboard and optimize how we set up the roll-up of information. Moreover, I value the feature that allows building out dependencies within the worksheet, enabling us to see the ripple effect when things are pushed back. Additionally, the ability to tag milestones and risks and have them roll up clearly into a dashboard is particularly useful. Overall, Smartsheet provides an essential overview for the work we do, which I find very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the integration between Smartsheet and Google Suite is not smooth, making Smartsheet feel like a standalone tool for our projects, rather than being incorporated into our everyday tools. This lack of integration means it's not consistently used for all tasks by everyone involved. Additionally, there is a notable upfront time investment required, which can be a hurdle initially. Another aspect I wish were different is the absence of voice features that could facilitate task management on the go, turning voice inputs into task lists.

Effortless Project Management with User-Friendly Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet to be incredibly user-friendly, making project management straightforward and efficient. I appreciate the variety of view options like the timeline and Gantt, timeline views, which enhance my project overviews and visuals. The ability to create filters with milestones and key dates is particularly useful for organizing information. I also love the built-in templates and dashboards, as they make managing projects easier and more visually appealing. The dynamic view options, including grid view, timeline, and Gantt chart, provide great flexibility in managing tasks. Lastly, I consider Smartsheet to perform very well for IT project managers, making it a reliable tool for my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything I dont like. I'm not sure if this is in place already, but it would be helpful for Smartsheet to have a 'get started' pop-up window for beginners. This would ensure new users know exactly where to start utilizing the platform effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for its user-friendly interface, templates, and dashboards, which simplify project management and visualization. It helps manage projects easily and make visual tables with filters and milestones, enhancing efficiency.
Easy to Use for Managing IDs and Documents, but Sometimes Slow
What do you like best about the product?
I like how we are able to create ID numbers for associates in our company and as well as attach documentation. It is easy to use and we have multiple users it. Implementation did not take long and was super easy as it is used on a daily basis
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, smart sheet does freeze or slow down and doesn't save sometimes until we click save which then overides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to create id numbers in an excel, smart sheet creates it for us.
Great for Real-Time Team Tracking, Android app is lacking
What do you like best about the product?
It assists me in tracking everything my team is doing on projects in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Android app is not as user friendly as it is to use on a browser, especially on a small cellphone screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking tasks on a single line with all the information for that task, instead of having to track multiple emails for a task.

It can be a bit difficult to learn at first.

Great Field Sharing, But Lacks True Relational Database Features

Ability to share certain fields and lock others.

Not truly a relational database. Functions outside its core functions are immature.

It's got some great project management tools, and it's helpful to organize all the facets of a project into one (or many) spreadsheets

It not super easy to collaborate sometimes within a project

Our organization has many projects moving forward at the same time, as well as many marketing and communications posts that we need to keep a calendar for, and Smartsheet is great at both of those things

What do you like best about the product?
From asset monitoring to data tracking and reporting, setting up a spreadsheet where everyone can submit ideas for business improvement—and assigning these to the appropriate teams for follow-up—proves to be highly effective. These templates simplify the process of building structured workflows, so you don’t have to start from scratch. I also find the featured dashboards extremely useful, as they allow for the creation of clear, interactive, and visually appealing displays that make it easy to track progress and present key information. Furthermore, the automation and collaboration tools enable multiple teams to update data in real time, which greatly boosts both efficiency and transparency. It’s similar to Excel, but more interactive, packed with additional features, and much easier to use. We rely on it every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with other software can be challenging, and the interface feels quite restrictive. Setting it up isn't always straightforward and requires significant training to become comfortable with it. However, once you get used to it, the system becomes very intuitive, and you may not want to switch to anything else.

Asset tracking, team collaboration, and real-time reporting are all supported, providing a comprehensive overview of the business through the dashboard.

Makes creating dashboards and arranging data very easy. The system is well-structured and creating new sheets for varying uses is straight forward.

Loading times and some issues with saving sheets.
