Panopto; Simply an Industry Leader In Its Class
What do you like best about the product?
Panopto spearheads the platform type. I like the integration capabilities with other services such as SSO & Zoom and its ability to work independently.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use a better User Interface (UI) enhacement. Sometimes, UI takes the back seat as features take precedence. This is OK, but its due for some UI updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows instructors to deploy thier video content to a central managed system. This streamlines this heavy content (large files) to one location.
All around excellent service
What do you like best about the product?
Panopto is user freindly, easy to administer, and offers reliable service. Beyond initial setup, it just works with little to no additional effort - you can forcus on adding to your user base instead of stamping out weird integration issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost/benefit is at times an issue - recruiting a large enough user base to justify a relatively expesive product is difficulat and requires work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presents an unified solution to storage and streaming with little overhead or worry about storage cost.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Panopto's ease of use. It is easy to record videos using their video recording application. Integration into our LMS was easy and works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Copying a course in the LMS doesn't automatically add video sharing permissions, so the sharing permissions have to be adjusted separatey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Panopto for video management and streaming within courses inside of our LMS.
Languishing lately
What do you like best about the product?
Access controls. Interactive quizzing. Portability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing. Interface hasn't been significantly improved for years.

Panopto has amazing security and very easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Panopto is an incredible tool for video/recording. It is very flexible, as all the sessions can be recorded offline, and then one can upload at the user's convenience
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about Panopto, you need to learn how to use it efficiently, and you are good to go!

Panopto is a very user-friendly tool; the plus point is that all the features are already included, and there are no hidden costs.

What do you like best about the product?
Panopto allows us to consolidate our video across the organization, package it for our users, and edit videos all in one convenient package.
What do you dislike about the product?
Panopto does have a bit of a learning curve at first, but their webinars are very helpful in getting over that curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Packaging and presenting videos and quizzes in online courses.
Solid Video Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The administration is simple and straight-forward. There is a lot of flexibility built in for managing access. The UX is clean and based on other familiar video portals.
What do you dislike about the product?
In admin mode, the persistence of the yellow warning bar at the top is tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Panopto is our corporate video management system for both creators and consumers. Both internal and external users use it. The robust security options make it an ideal solution for companies like ours.
Panopto can solve a lot of problems!
What do you like best about the product?
Many companies generate hundreds of hours of important video content every month, and while storage is cheap, search and retrieval of video content is next to impossible without a library management system like Panopto. Being able to search for a video by the words spoken in the video or displayed in a PowerPoint or even user notes puts Panopto on top for my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Panopto offers many integration options with both hardware and software, but for the workflow I support, having Meet integration would transform it from a valuable tool into an indispensable one. From setup to capture to playback, it's got everything my company could want but support for s tool we use thousands of times a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, Panopto is where we record and store important meetings, training/documentation. We even have a QA team that uses Panopto to capture errors 'live' and then send the error with notes to the developer teams. We will be moving to use Panopto to stream soon as well!
Great for Academic Live Training
What do you like best about the product?
One additional lovely feature added in recent years is the ability to integrate with Zoom. We have Zoom rooms in our school, and when we record classes through Zoom, they automatically populate in the correct classes. This is a HUGE help in not having to organize videos later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Panopto has remained consistent which I appreciate. There are no significant areas of improvement to be made, and they aren't breaking what works well!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We record our classes with a variety of cameras and the use of powerpoint. Panopto allowed us to capture the entire experience and then upload the videos where students could easily access them.
