Gong - Great for onboarding, professional development, training, and pipeline acceleration
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features of Gong is the ability to analyze the content and key indicators of all of the calls in our sales organizations to identify, highlight, and replicate best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong is expensive, so it doesn't always make sense to get licenses for every team member who would potentially benefit from the technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows our sales team to listen to their sales/discovery/introduction/proposal calls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You want to make sure that your call/conferencing technology will easily integrate; we use Join.Me conferencing, which works well.
Incredibly powerful and simple to use tool
What do you like best about the product?
Immediate and highly detailed insights into every single one of my sales calls allowing me to pick apart what I did and did not do well. It’s also a great for notes as every call is transcribed, allowing me to not have to worry about typing every word the prospect is saying.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing negative I can say about Gong at this time. Awesome software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simply making sales calls better. Whether it’s a cold call or a demo, each one is immediately available to critique and learn from.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong has revolutionized the way we teach and coach our sales team. It’s informative and actuionable and they offer ideas and strategies that we’ve never thought of. Not to mention the ability to go back and review confusing concepts or share situations with other company teams with one click.

For my use case, there isn’t much that I dislike

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can search for key words. Also seeing the script and being able to see what is being talked about is valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how there a typos but thats ok
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When looking for specific types of customers, I can search for key words, listen to audio, to determine which customers are a good fit.

Gong helps me practice my call closing pitches by reviewing previous calls saved and archived.

I dislike the current translation of "gong"; it doesn't capture words clearly.

What do you like best about the product?
There are many things that I really like about using Gong. The biggest being the transcription and analytics around the transcriptions. These really help in understanding key items that come up for both won and lost opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike with the product, the transcription could be refined more but its still early on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales training, both for new hires and increased training for on skills.

If you are looking for a service to help train your sales staff this is the way to go!

What do you like best about the product?
The abilities this has for giving and receiving feedback is amazing. If the SDR's ever need call coaching or have questions, this is a great tool to help coach.
What do you dislike about the product?
Voice to script is very imperfect. They need to update the software to recognize accents better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an AE, I am able to record my calls and use this in training's with my SDR's.

-Quick glance at talk time ratios to see how balanced the call was
-Ability to pinpoint specific parts of the conversation by topic
-More efficient call review by either snipping a specific portion for sharing-or-by calling attention to specific points by leaving comments
-Training for new hires - we have folders for different types of calls so they can 'shadow' without being live

What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of much.
When I leave comments on the app they seem to come through one at a time via email vs in one big email at the end of a session when I do it on desktop. Could also be user error.

Coaching & precall prep
What do you like best about the product?
Way more user friendly than a GoTo or WebEx recording. And the deciphering of each call is helpful for next call prep and coaching because you can jump to certain parts in any call. And it automatically records.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can not really say there is anything that stands out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not a manager, so as a rep, it is great to go in to previous calls that I ran to keep the deal moving in the right direction and keep communication/expectations consistent. Also helps to jump into previous reps conversations. Able to start with knowledge on an old opportunity rather than going in with nothing and having to uncover all that all over again.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to understand how much you are actively talking versus listening is huge, to understand which filler words you rely on and to self critique is very important for any rep looking to better their sales conversation skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love if the transcript feature was more accurate, would eliminate the need for self note taking which can distract from the actual conversation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sell more by understanding how to have effect conversations and ask better questions to solve my customers problems.
