Practice and listen in the shower kind of program

  • September 05, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the mobile experience. That is almost all I use. I am so busy while at work with all my prospecting and calls, that I end up not having enough time to go over the calls that you feel you just need to grade yourself on. That is why I love mobile. I use Gong in the shower and bathroom while getting ready for the morning as well as in the commute. It helps me to be on point for my calls every day and helps me to get better and better with my calls!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there is not much that I dislike. I guess the consistent emails every morning to let me know what calls I have scheduled for the day can get a little tiresome, but that is such a minimal thing, and I am sure that it helps other people out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just like to be able to remember what I said. since it records the conversation, I can go back and listen any time I want.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it while you get ready in the morning.

What do you like best about the product?
Product was built with end user in mind and it really shows. Very good experience using the systems day to day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of now. It suits my needs perfectly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong for training and to reference calls our AE's make. It helps quite a bit when we run closed lost campaigns to reconnect with prospects to have recorded Gong calls for context.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes doesn't annotate the call properly, but still does an amazing job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it for tips and tricks, and listening to colleagues pitches to refine mine.

Gong Review - Super user friendly and easy to learn how to use

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Gong is the fact that you can not only easily review from a computer but you can also listen to recordings on your phone! Makes the commute to work MUCH more productive
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the information from the recording that is color coded is not relevant or sometimes less accurate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong for all of our call recordings which is helpful to distinguish best practices and for CYA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Both desktop and mobile use is extremely simple and straightforward

helpful for Project Managers

What do you like best about the product?
1. It's a fantastic teaching and learning tool as well as for coaching. Not only does the tool itself tell you filler words, but others can review the call.
2. Perfect for Project Managers as it allows to listen in again and gather details.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now if multiple people call in from one phone, of course it cannot differentiate. Not a big issue and the only one I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is great as it is easy to use (simply invite the correct e-mail address to all meetings) and it is also easy to adopt. One of the few systems I have heard no one complaining about when we switched to using it. Instead of typing all the details during a call, I know I can review certain segments later and simply take note of the time, instead of typing. Allows me to focus on he customer fully and the entire call and review when questions come up. Also fabulous teaching tool on filler words, how much you are on each topic and so on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is very easy to implement. We actually enjoy using it and have several user groups on it (BDR, AE, OPMs etc). Videos are organized easily and can be organized by teams. You can easily invite the recorder when needed. In addition there were training webinars offered, which helped us with implementation.

What do you like best about the product?
The AI works! That's a first. This product allows you to search for certain terms that are important such as next steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that this product wasn't around 10 years ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can coach and mentor sales reps much more effectively than any other sales tool I have seen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it- you won't be sorry.

What do you like best about the product?
Auto recording and transcripts are excellent for training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet. So far so good. It has met our expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales training, demo consistency. It allows us to pick and choose bits and pieces that we like from many different demos and combine them in to a "master" demo.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buy it.

What do you like best about the product?
That it helps me refine my sales pitch. It keeps me organized and it is very simple to use. Listen to the calls that matter the most vs finding the needle in the haystack.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the calls don't record at all. The other main thing missing is a native mobile app. he transcribing can use a bit of work. I understand it's not easy to do, but occasionally there are paragraphs at a time that make little to no sense unless you were on the call / in the meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an amazing tool for improved note-taking and overall customer-facing/sales skills. Some benefits I realized are Self-evaluations and referencing calls retroactively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Call coaching
Self-evaluations
Referencing calls retroactively

Great for sales training and development

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to listen to and analyze the calls of top sellers nationwide
What do you dislike about the product?
Robust system, have only been able to utilize a fraction of the functionality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system allows you to identify opportunities for growth as a seller by analyzing trends and key topics on calls. However, I use this primarily to listen to my colleagues calls to see what’s being done or said differently.
