Forget taking notes during calls, Gong changes everything. The best app you never knew you needed!

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is easy to use, and extremely powerful and functional. I can review my calls, listen to everything, with automatic voice-to-text transcription and a helpful index and easy to read/understand/use GUI I can jump to anywhere in a call I want. I can play back at multiple speed settings. I can listen in to live calls. I can even see what's currently being screenshared or screencast. It always just works, uptime is fantastic, haven't experienced a downtime yet, even with months of use. I LOVE their mobile app too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Normally it's easy to find something about a product I don't like. What can I say? I'm a picky guy. In this case I don't really have anything major. The one thing is that the voice to text is sometimes comically wrong, but that's not Gong's fault, Apple, Google, Microsoft, everyone gets this wrong because our technology is not quite there yet. Like I said, I'm nit-picking here. No complaints so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have worry about rushing to write everything down, or playing back an mp3 audio file of a call that gives me absolutely NO INFO about what I said, where I said ,what the major topics or themes of the call were. etc. With Gong I can easily jump into anywhere in a call I want. I can add notes where I want them for myself and others in my org. to view. I can jump into my teammates calls and listen in to learn from them. I can playback calls at 1 or 1.5x or 2x. I can see what was screencast or screenshared.

I get an email after every call where I can play the call back and take any notes I may have missed. Great training tool for myself and others. I can review calls with managers and teammates, it's completely changed my workflow and increased my productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a great tool for conversation analysis and for reviewing your calls, it's helpful for sales training/coaching and it just works.

An awesome tool for those with a growth mindset

What do you like best about the product?
Listening to my last call with a customer while I'm prepping for the next one is a great way to make sure I'm not missing anything. I often hear opportunities to drill deeper on discovery where I failed to ask an important follow-up question, and build that into my plan for the next meeting. Listening to my own calls allows me to coach myself and correct for bad habits, etc. And having my manager listen to my calls makes our coaching sessions much more productive and impactful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recording that cuts in to tell all parties the call is being recorded is important, but it's poorly timed and the quality of the audio is very poor. It sounds like the recording is being played into a phone from an area with terrible cell service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better, deeper discovery makes for larger deals. Never dropping the ball on action items helps maintain trust. And better coaching sessions with my manager help me to get better every week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some of my colleagues were reluctant to embrace Gong when it was first rolled out. I think it's critical for a sales leadership group looking to implement this tool to help their teams see how they will directly benefit from the tool. I'd focus communication on the self-coaching sort of features. While the ability for my manager to listen to my calls was exciting for me, for lots of people, it felt a bit big brother. Same goes for the ability to listen to colleagues calls. People came around, but I'd lead with the value of listening to your own calls as a note-taking and self-coaching tool.

Great Experience with Gong

What do you like best about the product?
The recording helps with sales training and also documenting customer notes so you can go back and listen to things you might have missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not comfortable listening to ones own voice and critiquing how the conversation could have gone differently or better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better customer note taking and being able to hear how I articulate the message and recognizing areas I can improve.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very user-friendly. It makes searching for my own calls as well as others very easy. I also love the transcript feature!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be hard to search for specific customers calls due to naming conventions for my colleges all being different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have learned to be more confident on the phone with customers. I used to doubt myself and believe I sounded unsure on the phone but when I go back and listen to myself I realize I am being hypercritical. I also use Gong in conjunction with my 1:1's with my manager to improve certain processes.

I wish I was able to have a folder where I can save calls I want to review or calls I feel went well that are visible to only me and not the whole department.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to revisit calls to refresh my memory on what was said and also see what I could have done better

What do you like best about the product?
I like that its breaks it up by topics so you can quickly find a certain point in a conversation without skipping through the recording. You can just type in works or subjects and the system will find it for you. There are also quick options that are already implemented. My favorite thing about gong is that you will find mistakes in your calls that you didnt even know that you were making. Things that you would not be able to pick up on from a normal call recording. I have not ever seen anything like this system here.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly do not have any dislikes. It is a flawless system that is easy to use, extremely beneficial, and can be utilized at anytime anywhere. Such a great tool to help develop yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to find inconsistencies in my call flow and my pitch, Gong has assisted finding those inconsistencies to help me make the necessary adjustments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that when you first start to use gong that you spend several hours off the bat looking through gong and messing around with all of the different feature available. This way when you want to use gong as a tool you already know where all of the features are. You will be able to navigate through the system quickly to help you develop your call flow and sales strategy. It can be such a useful tool if it is taken advantage of in the right way.

What do you like best about the product?
It teaches patience and listening skills and allows you to focus on what the client is saying rather than trying to take notes. You can also self-evaluate after every call and discover key moments about a clients business needs or buying process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great product but sometimes calls aren't recorded and translations can be inaccurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to focus on what clients are saying and teaches patience during key moments when they are speaking. It is impossible to type notes and be a great listener. Gong takes the notes for you. It will also help you with follow-up highlighting action items agreed upon during the call. For me the I focus on the longest customer story feature as a way to evaluate how interested a client is in my solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is the most reliable solution I have seen in my 10 years of sales experience.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the actionable insights that I get from GONG. I am able to review call on my own time or use them during 1:1's with my manager or colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike. Originally it can be nerve wracking to know people on your team can access your calls, but how will you get better if there is no opportunity for coaching?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of getting real time feedback from Gong's software and feedback from my manager when I want to step back and look at where I may have made a mistake on an important call.

I can also only share a small snippet of a conversation making it far more effective than listing to an entire demo that only part of the call needs coaching.

Embrace the software as it will help you become a better rep!

What do you like best about the product?
I don't have to take detailed notes on a call, i can actually listen to my prospects and easily find what I need later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I really think it's easy to use and great for an organization to have this type of visibility and metrics around calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm becoming a better listener. I'm also learning how much time I dominate some conversations, or miss key things a prospect said

I haven't discovered any real downside yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to review my calls almost immediately after the call is finished. I am able to learn from the notes Gong provides where I might have action items and what I need to focus on. There are numerous features I haven't even begun to try yet, but since I just started using Gong I have recognized a variety of benefits allowing me to use it to manage my sales activities more effectively.

Try it. It's really good! (so far!)
