Amazing New Business Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I can get the absolute most out of every call and every follow up by analyzing it post-call and honing in on the pain points expressed by the prospect.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I won't be able to record all of my calls.
Wish there was a way to filter "only customer voices" so that i can quickly run through what the customer has expressed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Note-Taking is only ever short-hand and not the best way to spend a sales demo. Gong let's you focus on the demonstration itself while giving you the ability to loop back later
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think of the improvements your reps will make.
You're not using Gong already?? Why not?!
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to review my own calls with transcripts, actionable insights, and easy sharing options when a client needs a copy. Gong is also an incredibly proactive platform and is always releasing great learning materials and feature updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speech to text functionality is still wonky, has difficulty with accents etc. But the fact that I can grab a transcript at all is HUGE.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure the valuable details mentioned by a customer are easy to identify. Also being able to self-coach my own communication patterns is GOLD.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Are you planning to use it for just call recording? You should consider diving into all of the functions, it can do so much more!
Makes me a better seller and keeps my process buttoned up
What do you like best about the product?
I've never used a call recording/conversational intelligence tool in the past and using one at my current company has been a game-changer. If I were a VP of Sales starting a sales team and had to budget out for my sales tech stack, Gong would be at right near the very top of my list after the essentials like SFDC and LI Sales Navigator.
When ramping, Gong was the tool that allowed me to learn the pitch at 3x speed. I listened to calls from all of the reps on my team, identified the handful of reps that were most similar to my style, and listened in my own time, not relying on traditional shadowing where the time scales less efficiently and you run the risk of no-shows, bad-fit calls, etc. As a ramped rep now, Gong helps me improve the aspects of my sales skill and process that are really hard to realize or quantify on my own, helps me review previous calls when I want to remember a specific detail or confirm where we left off last time, and it's now becoming a tool to coach more junior reps and SDRs to develop their sales instincts.

What do you dislike about the product?
The text transcriptions in Gong are comically bad; essentially useless except for sometimes being able to more quickly find where a topic came up during a call, and that's assuming the word you're looking for wasn't misinterpreted. I also wish Gong knew the difference in context when I say something versus when a customer does -- sometimes in my pitch I mention that a particular challenge we solve would be an "expensive problem in 6 months" and Gong usually catalogs that as part of a pricing discussion or even an objection, because the word "expensive" showed up twice in a call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an experienced but not yet expert sales rep, I use Gong primarily to patch a variety of small gaps in my process such as challenging myself to pause for ~0.3 seconds longer than I naturally want to, or becoming more cognizant of when I should be tying off a 2+ minute monologue. After a few months of regularly reviewing my own call metrics, I became permanently better at naturally sensing when I'm about to fall outside the realm of best practices. Of course sales is too nuanced to distill down to what you "should" do when it comes to metrics, but it's definitely improved my spidey sense for when I should be asking more questions during a demo or when I'm about 20 seconds away from rambling too long without a check-in.
Gong has also improved my ability to deliver those "small moments of delight" that characterize great sales process. Even with diligent note-taking, on busy weeks I might not take a note on where we stopped in a demo and it can be valuable to reference the recording and be able to start the next call confidently telling the prospect, "Last time we covered A, B, and C, so today we wanted to finish off with D, E, and talk pricing." Saves everyone a bunch of time, and those little things all combine to create the impression of a truly professional seller who knows how to lead a valuable, consultative process.

Simple and Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I love the transcripts Gong provides so I can go through a call and pull relevant information easily as well as the breakdown of voice recognition on the call logs to jump through the calls easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
All my calls are recorded for my boss to listen to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is great for breaking down calls for training purposes as well as revisiting conversations to recall information.
Fantastic coaching software for sales
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, effective analytics, and great for coaching. Whether it be for my own coaching and skill development or to help those around me, Gong is incredible at recording, analyzing, and transcribing calls for sales coaching. In addition, they also have a "Request Feedback" option that makes it very simple for collaboration between a manager and their team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup can be a little wonky at times and it took a couple calls with their support team/our rep to finally get things working properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coaching and upleveling sales skills. This has improved both my own as well as my team's sales approaches as we learn from mistakes and continue improving upon things we are already doing well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend for those looking to get better training software to improve selling skills on the phone.
Most Incredible Sales Call Software
What do you like best about the product?
I've never encountered such an intuitive product. The review data is extremely helpful and removes the need for manual review by a supervisor or manager. Young sales reps getting nearly instantaneous feedback is one of the best ways to help them grow. As someone who talks too much sometimes, the feedback on the length of monologue and time spent talking ratio is prime.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any issues yet with Gong. The app on my phone only sometimes requires a password so that can catch me off guard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Growth opportunity identification is the main benefit. Helping sales people reach their potential with feedback that's automated. There's an additional benefit of sharing calls with other team members for joint learning opportunities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a novice sales organization or novice team members, this is a great tool to push individuals to the next level.
Gong is a great analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
The tool to analyze the conversation is amazing, plus all the analytics in stats is pretty revealing
What do you dislike about the product?
The branding is not in my taste (especially the photos)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing conversations
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great analytical tool
An amazing tool!!
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things I like about Gong is the user experience and interface. The tool is super easy to use and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there is not much I dislike about Gong!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to analyze what is really going on during calls and discovered ways to improve them
Gong: Become a Better Seller
What do you like best about the product?
Clarity and organization. You get full insight as to how you speak to prospects, and ultimately you learn from this clarity.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I currently dislike about Gong
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fine-tuning my talk tracks, and taking out filler words from my conversations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely consider the long-run. Improving talent over time is important.
Saving time and understanding essential information
What do you like best about the product?
My favourite feature is in between skipping speakers (so that I don't have to hear myself) or having the transcript where I can read what was said. They both help decrease the amount of time I spend on reviewing calls.
The analytics is cool too, I wish it would be more interactive.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how calls that don't have contacts saved in salesloft are not always saved in gong. It also sometimes takes forever for the call to go on gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems - after a call, I do not need to remember what was said. It is all recorded, transcribed, and waiting for me.
The benefits are reviewing conversations where you sometimes don't even remember what you said.
