Can't imagine selling without it
What do you like best about the product?
My absolute favorite thing about Gong is being able to see how I've progressed towards my number in the month and quarter on the home page (I'm a fan of filling up the bar and seeing the %). Outside of that, I love the call recording feature; I go back and watch almost all of my calls to prep for the next one and I'm able to get up to speed with accounts that have talked to us in the past. Forecasting with MEDDPICC built in is very useful!
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI tool could use some improvement; AI is obviously a work in progress across the board so I think this will just take time. I've also run into the issue where it will tag the wrong person on a call (for ex., I was speaking with a male CEO and it tagged a female marketing contact as the person I was talking with on the recording).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Call recording and forecasting. Helps me do my job as an IC
Forget your notebook
What do you like best about the product?
Provides a helpful summary of the call and call scorecards to share cross-departmentally. The other great part is that it highlights key talking points for the conversation making it incredibly easy to segment action items from points of interest. I use the "generate follow-up email" multiple times a week for lengthier conversations that can get in the weeds with technicalities
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime can be cumbersome if there's a lot of email correspondance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps me from having to use a pen and paper or resort to listening back to an entire call, it helps me save several hours a week.
An Enablement Professionals Dream Tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Gong is the transparency and tracking it enables. It allows me, as an Enablement professional, to be able to create streams and snippets of our "top sales calls" by vertical. This offers incredible, easy to access trainings for our new hires and/or sellers -- what "great" looks like in digestible snippets with AI highlighting the main takeaways from the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few things that I dislike about Gong. Personally, I would like to learn more about all the features and capabilities that Gong offers to ensure my team is utilizing Gong to the fullest extent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is helping me solve the issue of siloed/tribal knowledge -- and allows for ease of use with sales enablement tactics (ie streams, AI Sales assistant, etc)
A great GTM sidekick!
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is one of the best tools to have if you work in go-to-market. Throughout my time in sales, campaign management, and product marketing, I've found new ways to use the tool that boost the quality of everything we work on. From onboarding to competitive intelligence, CS enablement to industry knowledge, Gong is a great way to scale the conversations and feedback your sales team gets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor thing, but search throughout the product could be a bit more contextual. Ex - spelling a word wrong, mentioning a topic instead of an account/call title ('latest call with executives,' 'calls where x competitor was mentioned,' 'calls in x industry').
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scaling conversations from prospects, customers, and more into contextual information our team can use to take action on/influence our strategy.
Innovative Revenue Intelligence to Pinpoint What Matters
What do you like best about the product?
There is a VAST amount of organizational and revenue intelligence buried in sales communications. But, that intel is also some of your business' most important. Gong not only helps you track it, organize it, and surface it for future use, but does it in an easy-to-use, easy-to-integrate manner. Everyone I have directly worked with has been excellent. With the rise of access to LLMs and GenAI over the past two years, this market is getting increasingly crowded. But Gong is OG. They've been there, they've done that and still they find ways to surprise and delight with new, meaningful product features and functionality (and I am sure it's because they practice what they preach). I often joke on calls with the team over there that I'm using flags to trigger trackers for their product team...but they're serious: those flags are indeed being tracked and used to prioritize new features and functionality for its customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some support growing pains, but when I surfaced them, the team jumped and resolved quickly and efficiently.

Sales conversations are some of the most unstructured data out there. Gong makes sense of them. They're also the most valuable unstructured data in a business. Gong allows us to pinpoint the most valuable data points. Whether it's messaging that's working, messaging that isn't, competitive intelligence, risk flagging, etc. Gong has a solution for that. Frankly, what's most holding us back is some structural challenges that we have to get the absolute most out of it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything I dislike so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, it saves me a lot of time on admin tasks with its AI capabilities.
It is easier to align internally since everybody can review the calls and also comment on them.

Glad my company uses this platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like how responsive it is. Have almost never experienced lag or downtime with this platform. They make functionality improvements regularly and it has a lot of features that are helpful in my line of work as a Customer Success Account Manager. Like the interface for moving through recordings, accuracy/ease of transcript. Sharing options and now the AI support/summaries. Overall just a super useful tool and I know I barely use most of the features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the place to upload videos directly not fully intuitive. I usually have to go searching every time to remember where to go when something doesn't record and I have to pull it from Zoom download.
We have integrations with HubSpot...sometimes a meeting will be set to not record, which I believe is a function of whether all team members have the right access. Now I know that I can add the notetaker to the meeting invite and that should always trigger recording.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy reference to customer meeting content. When I need to find specific points in a conversation from previous meetings, it's usually pretty easy, especially if there is a customer concern about something that may have been previously promised.
The Ultimate Sales Tool for Quick Learning and Effective Follow-Ups
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is one of my favorite tools. Initially, it helped me ramp up quickly in a new role by letting me listen to top reps' calls to learn how they effectively positioned our product. Now, I use it regularly for my own sales calls to track key points and follow-up items. I especially appreciate the follow-up email recaps it sends and the AI functionality, which helps me draft follow-up emails for my clients. Gong has truly streamlined my process from call to follow-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes. It helps me tremendously and I am not sure what I did previously!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong solves a few major challenges for me. It makes training and knowledge-sharing more accessible, saving me time on follow-ups and keeping me fully present on calls since I don’t need to take notes.
Frustrating Data Access Limitations and Lack of Bulk Export Support
What do you like best about the product?
Gong offers valuable insights into call data and sales interactions
What do you dislike about the product?
While Gong offers valuable insights into call data and sales interactions, our experience has been impacted by significant data access limitations, especially concerning data portability and bulk export capabilities. If you're considering switching platforms and have six months or less on your contract, start engaging the Gong API documentation immediately to download all of your call data in a usable format.
Gong’s support team has stated, “Gong is in full compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and all related data accessibility and portability requirements. As per CCPA, we ensure data is available in a ‘readily usable format’ in line with industry standards and consistent with Gong’s documentation and product specifications.” However, their current solution is far from convenient or accessible—it requires downloading calls individually, which is impractical and inefficient for a large volume of data.
Another support message emphasized, “Gong does provide an API for data export, including documentation to facilitate access to individual call downloads... we remain committed to assisting your team within these existing product parameters.” This means no further customization or support is available if you need bulk access to your call data. This lack of flexibility has required us to engage our development team at additional cost, adding significant operational and opportunity costs just to extract data we already own.
If your business needs easy, bulk access to call data or plans to integrate with other platforms, these limitations can create challenges. The lack of robust data export options has made it hard to justify the platform’s cost, especially as it falls short of meeting practical data management needs.
