Gong delivers and then some!
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has given me the visibility to not only coach my existing team, but to onboard new team members in a much shorter fashion. In todays market, features come and go and even focusing on customer experience only gets you so far as a business trying to grow. I believe a true competitive advantage for our business which is not easy for a competitor to reverse-engineer is coaching our sales team to be the best of the best. When I think of the various tools that make up my sales tech stack, a CRM system (regardless of provider) is more or less just a big repository of data...which is of course important to understand both lagging and leading indicators...however, at the end of the day, it's only as good as the data (hygiene) that's input into the system...Gong on the other hand, takes unadulterated data (conversations) and slices and dices it in a consumable way which in my opinion, packs more value than any CRM tool ever could as it gives you reliable information (when it's needed) to constantly make course corrections and fine tune your team.
What do you dislike about the product?
None...only wish I had this years earlier! The ability to literally review calls in a fraction of the time it used to take frees up time to do the other things I need to do in a given day, but also allows me to review more calls which gives me a larger sample size from which to make decisions and coach.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When scaling a sales team, the goal is to create a machine that is basically rinse and repeat. Gong has given me the ability to do just that. The old guard is improving and my new team members learning curve is cut in half...thats huge!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look at what systems/apps you currently utilize in your tech/sales stack that may increase the value of those and Gong by being integrated in some fashion.
Really insightful growth tool
What do you like best about the product?
The stats are awesome and the ability to share the call or go back and find certain topics quickly is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesnt have the ability to give listening permissions to individual users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is mostly used for our account managers to self evaluate and find opportunities to better service our clients and convey our strategy at the highest level. We also do group discussions weekly and give feedback on peer's calls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong has the edge on its competitors with the quality of its stats, insights and analytics for sure. Once you integrate it, it becomes second nature and an invaluable tool. Its primarily used for sales teams, but we use it to help our team of account managers develop in all areas with self and peer review.
A must for sales professionals
What do you like best about the product?
Gong literally tells you how to be better. And then Gong is a company from head to toe that is a thought leader in helping sales reps get to best in class metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides from what I can tell. Excited to see what Gong comes up with next.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced my talk ratios, and increased my time discussing next steps because Gong helps me measure that. That's translated into better demos, more meetings, more won business.
Thoroughly Impressed with Ease of use, Customer support, and capabilities of AI!
What do you like best about the product?
I run a team of 17 sales reps and I am able to seamlessly listen to sales calls and coach based on specific settings and triggers to make sure we are developing our talent to the best of our abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many downsides. If any it could be an upside actually in regards to the fact that you can continue to improve the capabilities by setting more triggers and settings to make sure you are fulling using the capabilities of Gong
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continued sales development, Call coaching, Tracking specific call subjects and much more. It allows us to listen and coach much more effectively in a time effective manner. I also get notified whenever next steps are discussed, if they jump into pricing within 10 minutes, and many other things which allow my to coach in the moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot! It is a top notch AI software which has helped significantly improve our teams sales process!

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to easily record and share demos/reference calls has been amazing.
Also comparing my call metrics compared to industry best practices has been great for coaching.

It's something small but it's frustrating how quickly it signs me out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting more decision-makers involved through recorded demos, sharing reference calls to get more value from them and figuring out where my selling ability gaps are.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We trialled this and one of their competitors. Was pretty clear that Gong was leading the pack.
Valuable tool for self-improvement and deal strategy
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is great. So easy to target specific calls, parts of calls, key words, or certain people speaking. Transcripts are very accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downside I can think of. Strongly recommend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has helped me in the following ways: 1) Helped me ramp as a new rep by being able to listen to 100s of calls from my more experienced peers - this helped with talk track, meeting flows etc 2) Helps me improve as I listen to my calls - always find things that could have been done better 3) Helps me refine deal strategy, I'll go back and listen to a call with a prospect and figure out key things they said and that helps me with follow up/next steps
Couldn't do my job without this tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to pull up previous interactions with my prospective customers and to jump through the conversation based on the speaker so I can retake notes and brush up on past conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were slightly easier to search for calls when I'm looking by title
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit is that I am better prepared and more effective in my role. It is impossible to keep up notes during live calls, and with gong it is easy to see who is speaking in recordings and to jump around to various parts of the conversation. I would have a lack of information going into calls if I didn't have this tool.
Excellent Sales Platform!
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an incredible platform for anyone looking to improve their sales team! It allows you to record and analyze calls, and then use them for training. Not only can you learn from others, but you can also learn from yourself. The customer service is also excellent when there is an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to complain about, only thing I can think of is that some states have 2-way consent for the recording of calls, so when you dial those states Gong (understandably) does not record them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales improvement and sales training, learning from my peers and being able to reference past successes and areas of improvement. We have a call review weekly where we open Gong and pull a call from the team from the prior week!
Great coaching tool for people managers
What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows me to review and critique my team's calls, at times when I would otherwise be unproductive (commute, early mornings, etc) and make comments to encourage improvement, or reinforce areas of strength. I can listen at 1.5x or 2x speed to be sure I get through more calls, and this ensures that I'm better prepared for coaching and/or strategy sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong transcription could still use some work. Action items are somewhat unreliable as well. The call logs link to Salesforce, but not the transcripts, so the data mining we do in SFDC is not benefitting from our work in Gong
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a very young and inexperienced team. Using Gong helps all of our managers to "level-up" new hires and internal promotions very quickly. We use it as a foundation for our "good-to-great" coaching.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure your leaders have time and willingness to review calls, or the tool will go unused. If you aren't getting value from this tool, the problem is in your organization, the product is phenomenal

The only thing I would make better is the accuracy of sharing only part of calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to just share the call recording with prospects so they can look back and remember what was discussed and presented is great.
